I Married A Degraded Alpha
Chapter 111: Tuss’s Romance Rival

Chapter 111: Tuss’s Romance Rival

The eldest prince of the Empire was an SSS-tier alpha, the second prince was an SS-tier alpha, and the third princess was an SS-tier beta. The royal bloodline of the Empire was extraordinary. Without it, they wouldn’t be able to rule such a vast country.

"The Empire has learned about the Second Commander’s trip in and out of the secret chamber," Tuss said, his gaze fixed intently on Yuri. "Officer Lyao warned that the eldest prince is the most talented individual the Empire has seen in a hundred years. And the third princess, she’s just a half-step away from being an SSS-tier beta. If she uses her psychic power to probe, Officer Lyao fears your exposure."

Yuri frowned, "Can’t we just not let them come?"

She was confident she could guard against the third princess’s psychic probing, but her beta status was much harder to mask. Even with gland patches and sprays, some traces were bound to leak out.

Alphas and betas had a sense of smell even keener than dogs. There was no guarantee they wouldn’t sniff her out.

The fact that she hadn’t been detected by the people at Military Academy No. 1 was not only due to her own careful actions but also because the students never expected her to be an alpha or beta.

Tuss promptly provided the answer: "Their tuition is a whole, unmined ore planet of energy stone."

Yuri inhaled sharply, "That’s quite generous."

Tuss nodded, "So, you realize how important you are now?"

"Not that important. At least, I’m not worth as much as the three to the Alliance," Yuri said.

Tuss sensed the meaning in her words and fell into thought before asking, "Are you thinking of going to the Empire?"

"Yes," Yuri said through gritted teeth, "To seek revenge."

The next afternoon, Yuri and Tuss returned to Military Academy No. 1.

Unfortunately, they ran into Hoarah at the school entrance security checkpoint.

Yuri, engrossed in her headphone lecture, suddenly felt a burning gaze on her. Tuss was standing behind her, and his face had abruptly changed.

Yuri turned to look at Tuss, then followed his line of sight to another security lane. There, she met a pair of beautiful eyes, staring at her unblinkingly.

The next second, a large hand covered Yuri’s face, adjusting her head, "It’s our turn."

Yuri looked at the few people ahead and fell silent.

After passing through security, Tuss grabbed Yuri’s hand, striding forward.

"Wait a moment, Yuri!" someone called from behind.

Tuss’s expression darkened even more. He wrapped his arm around Yuri’s waist, hoisting her up, and with her in his arms, he dashed away like a gust of wind.

Hoarah gritted her teeth and sprinted after them.

"Darn, Tuss is so fast."

"This is so exciting! Should we follow them in a car?"

"Let’s follow! We can’t miss out on the fun."

"Major gossip! Everyone, come and see."

"...."

The sound of rushing wind filled Yuri’s ears. Her vision blurred, gaining a clearer understanding of Tuss’s speed.

But are we running? Yuri thought to herself.

As they dashed and chased, they swept across the campus like two gusts of wind. Students who got the news in advance lined up along the path to wait, only to be disappointed when they couldn’t see anything but the gusts of wind rushing past them. Those who had arrived a few minutes late had missed even the wind.

"That was so fast!"

Everyone was astounded.

"Let’s wait on the interstellar net. Someone is bound to upload a video."

"But I wish we could have seen it in person."

"I hope they start a fight."

"You’re so naughty!"

"No, I’m not. I’m just being honest. If two SSS-tiers fought, wouldn’t you want to watch?"

"Yeah."

When Tuss finally stopped, Yuri’s face had turned rigid and numb.

"Did we just elope?" Yuri couldn’t help but ask.

"We’re a married couple, completely legal. We didn’t need to elope," Tuss said seriously.

"Then why did you run?" Yuri rubbed her face, which was losing its sensation.

Tuss: "...."

He didn’t want Hoarah to see her.

"You should go upstairs," Tuss said.

The abrupt topic change was awkward. Looking at his emotionless handsome face, Yuri was annoyed and retorted, "You can leave now."

Tuss detected the anger in her voice. A trace of panic crossed his face. He quickly grabbed her hand, "Don’t be mad."

Yuri just hummed coldly without replying.

"Yuri!"

Hoarah had caught up.

Yuri gave him a side glance, and only then did she notice the large crowd that had gathered.

Looking at their eager faces, Yuri was exasperated. Do they have nothing better to do?

"Yuri?" Hoarah called again.

Yuri turned to look at him. Tuss, standing beside her, had tensed up the moment Hoarah appeared.

"Do you need something?" Yuri asked, her tone calm. She was curious to know what was so important that it was worth chasing them.

"Yuri, you’ve saved me twice. I wanted to thank you in person and invite you for a meal," Hoarah said, his eyes and words sincere and enthusiastic.

Yuri frowned, "I appreciate your gratitude. As for the meal, I’m sorry, but I only dine with my husband."

The crowd gasped. Yuri certainly knows how to reject someone. Poor Hoarah.

"It’s okay, I’ll invite both of you," Hoarah said, his beautiful eyes fixed on Yuri.

"Stay away from her," Tuss stepped in front of Yuri, his voice icy, "I told you not to appear in front of her."

"You did say that, but I also said I can’t help my instincts," Hoarah smirked, whispering so only they could hear, "Maybe I’m a better match for her."

Boom.

Tuss punched Hoarah in the face without warning.

Hoarah was thrown back, spitting out a mouthful of blood mixed with two teeth.

The crowd gasped. That’s brutal.

Yuri was surprised by Tuss’s sudden attack, but she didn’t blame him. She had heard Hoarah’s words, and not only was Tuss angry, she was too. Yuri thought to herself, Hoarah must have known about my beta identity and is probably attracted to my beta pheromones. But so what? I’m Tuss’s wife. Regardless of our stable love bond, even if things weren’t going well, I’d never turn to someone else so easily. Just because of his so-called ’compatibility’, he thinks he could step in between Tuss and me?

Yuri looked at Hoarah with disgust, "I don’t want to see you again, or next time, I’ll be the one to take action."

Hoarah’s face stiffened as he asked, "Why? We are clearly more compatible."

Upon hearing this, Tuss clenched his fist, ready to charge again. But Yuri was one step ahead. She grabbed Hoarah by the collar, lifted him up, and snarled, "Shut up. Or else, I won’t be so polite."

After she finished speaking, Yuri threw him aside and turned to walk upstairs.
