Chapter 108: Another SSS-tier Alpha

Kilana led Yuri to a spacious area, guiding her gently to a nearby bench. As Yuri sat down, Kilana, Daleks, and Ender promptly stepped back two meters.

They were concerned that their own pheromones might affect her. Despite their best efforts to control their pheromones, there was chances that a trace might be accidentally released.

"Yuri, do you need suppressants?" Daleks asked in a low voice.

Yuri shook her head, "I’ve already taken them."

Noticing Yuri’s lips were dry, Daleks quickly opened a bottle of water, placed it on the chair, then stepped back. "Yuri, have some water."

"You’re quite attentive today," Ender teased.

"Of course," Daleks replied proudly.

In the midst of their conversation, a gust of wind blew by, and suddenly, there was an additional presence on the chair.

"What’s that smell?" Daleks asked, covering his nose and taking another step back.

"A soapberry scent, who’s pheromones are those?" Ender frowned, unable to recall anyone whose pheromones carried this scent. He turned to the newcomer, "Tuz, where did you get this scent from?"

"From a jerk," Tuss replied, burying his face in Yuri’s collarbone, deeply inhaling her scent.

A jerk? Ender, Daleks, and Kilana exchanged glances, their thoughts immediately turning to the man who had just recently held Yuri in his arms and torn her clothes.

Indeed, that man deserved it.

Yuri gently ruffled Tuss’s hair and asked, "What did you do to him?"

Tuss shot up, staring intently at her, "You’re actually concerned about him?"

Yuri twitched her lips, "I don’t care about him, I’m worried you’ll get punished."

Tuss, his eyes filled with doubt, shrugged off her concern. "I broke one of his legs."

Yuri: "...Didn’t the instructor catch you?"

"Why would they catch me? He had it coming," Tuss said, unrepentant for his actions.

Yuri furrowed her brow, turning to look at Daleks and Ender who mirrored Tuss’s indifferent expression.

In this world, can people break others’ limbs so casually? Perhaps the confusion on Yuri’s face was too evident. Ender explained, "Every year in the Alliance, there are dozens, if not hundreds, of alphas dueling to the death over betas. As long as both parties sign a death-match contract, the Alliance won’t interfere."

"The number of betas isn’t even half of alphas, so such circumstances can’t be prevented," Kilana chimed in.

"Those who dare covet another’s beta should know that they may get themselves killed," Daleks said, his tone hinting a fierce resolve.

Yuri fell silent. Her understanding of the world was being repeatedly reshaped.

By the time Yuri returned to the dormitory that night, it was already midnight. Arya and the others breathed a sigh of relief when they saw her safe return.

"Did Tuss find you?" Arya asked with concern.

Yuri nodded, picked out some clothes, and headed for the bathroom. She needed to wash away the strong scent clinging to her.

As the sound of water from the bathroom filled the room, Arya, Nithya, and Isaya huddled together.

"Did you see? Was she scared?"

"I couldn’t tell. She probably won’t get scared by her own husband, right?"

"Who knows? After all, Tuss was quite terrifying earlier."

"But Yuri is no ordinary person."

The school’s infirmary was bustling. Numerous students had gotten hurt that night, and the medical staff were stretched thin. Even medical students were called in to lend a hand.

Hoarah was attended to by two student nurses. The pair helped set his bones, stabilize him, and administer medication.

"This is a newly differentiated alpha. The teacher asked us to test his alpha level."

"I got this."

Five minutes later.

"Isn’t it done yet?"

"....I think I might have made a mistake, let me test again."

"Should I give it a try?"

"Sure."

Another five minutes passed.

The two looked at the test result, then at each other. "Is this real?"

"It should be, right?"

A woman’s scream echoed through the infirmary.

That night, countless people in Military Academy No. 1 were restless and unable to sleep.

Yuri, who had gone to bed after a shower, knew nothing about this. When she woke up in the morning, she was startled to see three pairs of bloodshot eyes. "What happened to you guys?"

"We stayed up all night," Nithya rubbed her eyes.

"We were too excited to sleep," Arya added, her face still lit with excitement.

Isaya spoke with a complex expression, "Your Tuss is no longer the only one."

Yuri was confused, "Are you saying there’s another Tuss?"

"No, not another Tuss, but another SSS-tier alpha." Arya rushed to explain, "You won’t believe it, but it’s the alpha who tore your clothes yesterday. He just differentiated, and two of our senior classmates tested his alpha level. When the results came out, they couldn’t believe it. They asked the teacher to test him again, and all three tests showed he is an SSS-tier."

Upon finishing, Arya and the others nervously looked at Yuri.

Yuri blinked, then resumed her usual indifferent demeanor. "That’s good. The Alliance has one more SSS-tier alpha."

"That’s it?" Arya asked in disbelief.

Even Nithya and Isaya were taken aback.

"What else should I do? What reaction should I have?" Yuri was puzzled, How’s another SSS-tier alpha related to me?

Arya and the others shook their heads. They had been overthinking. It seemed that Yuri was just as calm as ever.

Yuri noticed not only were Arya and her friends acting strange, but her classmates were also unusually careful and anxious around her today.

Even the passersby on the street were casting thoughtful glances at her, their eyes filled with a subtle mixture of sympathy and consolation.

Is this just because a new SSS-tier alpha had appeared? Why is everybody acting so weird? Yuri was confused.

She decided to go online to see if she could find some answers.

"Who do you think is stronger, Tuss or that Hoarah?"

"I’d say Hoarah, after all, he’s fully able-bodied."

"I think Tuss is stronger, you guys forget, Hoarah’s leg was broken by Tuss."

"But Hoarah was still differentiating at the time, he wasn’t at his strongest yet last night."

"Let’s see how the Alliance reacts, whoever they favor and gives more resources to is likely the stronger one."

"Tuss used to be the only young SSS-tier alpha in the Alliance, now he’s one of two. Do you think Tuss hates Hoarah?"
