Chapter 107: Ryan’s call
Lisa dropped the paper cup in the trash and returned to where she was, her teeth almost grinding against each other, "He is an arrogant, egotistical piece of shit!"
There was a slight cough by her side and she turned to see the Captain looking at her with a warning in his gaze.
Her eyes widened, it had been Ravi who was sitting in that spot when she left, "I am sorry."
"If you intend to curse him out then lower your voice." She was not wrong, Arlen had dealt with a lot of people and Cole Black was among the most annoying people he had met.
He was worried about his company’s non-existent stocks and non-existent reputation, so he refused to cooperate one bit. There was no sympathy even when they had explained the situation to him. They had rushed over here when the call had cut all of a sudden only to see that the CEO was having quite a luxurious lunch with his mistress.
Millie came out of the CEO’s office and shook her head.
No luck either. From the corner of his eyes, a lithe figure walked towards them, Arlen’s lips curved, "Officer West."
Lisa turned, "Did you really go down the block so you can drink a different coffee?"
"This is not coffee, it is hot chocolate and I went down the block to look for Ryan Warrow."
Arlen’s lips twitched and the frustration of the situation faded somewhat, "So did you find him?"
Ravi looked away from that gaze and then looked back, "No. I didn’t?"
Arlen smiled at him and then turned to talk to Captain Millie. He did not know what they discussed but they decided to go back to the office and focus all their attention on finding Ryan.
"It is 4 p.m. The Second Team would be in charge of watching and protecting Mr Black."
Returning to the office was not the rest that Ravi thought they might get, putting out an ABP meant that everyone was searching for Ryan and was looking for him so they were getting calls every minute from people who said that they knew him or they might have seen him.
Sarah and Draco had returned earlier to answer the phones with Tom and when Ravi and Lisa returned, they joined them.
"It is him!" A youthful voice said on the phone and Ravi regretted why he did not buy two cups of hot chocolate.
"Who?" He asked, his pen drawing absentminded on the small pad.
"It is Emily, the president of the Knights of Earth Organization. That day we went to scout the Michael Grills and Bar, and we saw him there. The man on the news, Ryan Warrow there, we saw him.’’Unlike her composed state when they were interviewing her, the teenager seemed more agitated now.
"Give me a moment, I will pass the call to the Captain." Ravi took the phone from his ear and covered the speaker with one hand, "Captain, those teenagers we interviewed. They can place Warrow at the crime scene." He forwarded the call and the next call came in.
It was a man who swore that he saw Warrow outside his home staring at him.
Ravi rolled his eyes and placed the phone by the side as the man continued to speak to thin air.
The application had finished loading and he imputed the license plate on the toll gate system but there was nothing. None of the tollgates in Davenport had recorded the taxi plate number today. He must have been using the fake license plate.
Ravi sighed, he tried to check whether the Black family had purchased any houses in the last 30 years but they had purchased so many, spreading their wings to Alstria.
He picked up the phone, the man was still talking. He cut it and placed the phone back. This was the first time they were chasing a criminal like this. Everyone was just so busy that Ravi could not complain about anything.
Arlen and Draco had gone to Ryan’s home and interviewed his neighbors. Apart from the newspaper clippings and the faces of the victims everywhere in his house, they did not see anything that would tell them where he went. He had no friends, no close acquaintances.
Sarah and Lisa were still interviewing his coworkers, hoping that someone must have noticed something that would be the slightest not helpful.
The phone rang again and Ravi picked it up. The breathing from the other side was heavy. Ravi’s eyes widened and he immediately set up the phone recording function, forwarded the call and rushed over to Arlen’s office, and began to set up the tracking and positioning system.
Arlen did not ask any question, he raided the phone to his ears, "Mr Harrow."
The man’s voice was very hoarse and much kinder than anyone had expected, he did not sound like someone who had just killed six people in three days.
"Make them stop. They should stop saying those things about my parents on the television. They have no right to say such things about my parents."
Lis hurriedly switched on the television, the headline in red was, ’Town Respected Pharmacist Gives Birth to a Killer.’
"Mr Harrow. You should not see that. I would contact the news station to take it down but you have to do something for me in turn, you can come and turn yourself in."
"I will come. I would accept my punishment for everything that I have done."
"Where are you now, Mr Harrow?"
"Officer, what is your name?" The man asked.
"Arlen Sinclair." Arlen replied.
"It is a fine name."
, "Mr Harrow. We understand the wrong that has been done to you and we promise, I promise. I could bring justice to your family, We would expose the wrong that has been done to you. Mr Harrow..."
"It is a little too late for that. Officer."
Ravi nodded and looked at the little red dot on the computer.
"He is at the Mainstream Energy Solutions Headquarters."
The moment the words left Ravi’s lips. The news on the television changed. A woman appeared with a microphone in her hand.
"Breaking News. The Building of the Mainstream Energy Solutions has suddenly caught fire. There is speculation that this is the work of Ryan Warrows, known to the public as the PyroWraith."
