Chapter 106: Identify the suspect

"Captain! Captain!" Draco stood up, causing all the attention to fall on him, he carried the laptop and zoomed in the picture.

"What did you find?"

Draco zoomed the Newspaper clipping on their laptop, "1994. John Fonda won a case for Mainstream Electrical Solutions about a fire. It was said that the Harrows family was suing the company because a fire that burned down their home and killed the husband and daughter."

"Oh my God! That looks so terrible." The picture of Glory Harrow, the wife of Nathan Harrow was on the paper, "That should be at least third degree burns." She said as she moved over to Draco’s screen.

"Yes, she did not survive." Ravi said as his fingers moved across the keyboard, "Nathan Harrow was a pharmacist, he took out a loan to build a house. But three days after the family moved in, there was a fair. The father and the youngest daughter died in the fire but the mother and the boy survived, although they were heavily injured. Glory Harrows sued the electrical company but they lost the case. She later passed away. I can not find anything about the son, Lucas Harrow. It was thirty years ago." Ravi reported and the team gathered close.

Unlike before, seeing a little light made them very excited, like they are about to catch the killer.

Arlen on the other hand was much calmer, "Sergeant, Go upstairs and tell the Chief. Get him to contact the court and make them unseal the court proceedings of that case. Officer Adams and Officer Brown, contact the taxi offices, find out if there is any one with that name and get their address or phone number. I would contact the Heroes Association."

Everyone suddenly got very busy, Ravi following Tom to go to the local court for the proceedings. The man in charge of the flies looked like he had been around since the court was created, he was so slow but after ten minutes, he came out with a large brown, dusty file.

"This is everything about the case?" Tom asked and the man snorted.

"Am I holding another file?"

Ravi chuckled, ignoring Tom’s glare. The two of them headed back to the car, "That looks like it would take more than two days to go through."

"Drive, let me start." He coughed as he dusted the cover of the file.

"I have to say, it is so surprising the way you are invested in this case. Aren’t you the one who starts work by 8 and clocks out by 4 p.m" Tom said, looking at the mirror to Ravi who was flipping through the files, shrugged, "People can change."

"So why did you change?"

Ravi felt as if there was a lump in his throat, "Just felt like it. Sergeant, the witness for the case...It is Robert Johnson, the manager for the Mainstream Electrical Solution and Mr Martin Micheal, the contractor in charge of the electrical wiring of the Harrows family home."

After he repeated it in the Bureau, there was a sinking feeling that filled everyone’s stomach, the moment that they heard the details of the case.

"The Harrows family sued for five million dollars." Ravi said, there was no reason to go through the file anymore.

"Fuck! It now makes sense how a Jack of all trades contractor can afford to open Micheal Grill& Bar, so they gathered around to screw over mother and son." She chuckled slightly, "Maybe, we should just leave it to him."

"Officer Johnson! Revenge and Justice are two different things." Sarah quickly interrupted her.

"You have seen the file, it is not like he and his mother did not try to get justice."

"Officer Johnson, this is not our job right now. Our job is to find Lucas Harrow. Any luck with the taxi company?"

Lisa pursed her lips as she held the phone in her hand, "They said that they do not know anyone with the name."

Ravi looked at her, he could tell what was going on in her mind and he could tell that she wished that they would not find Lucas. Lisa always, always rushed to support the person society deemed weaker.

He sighed, watching as Arlen picked up the phone to call the taxi company, "Hello! Yes. It is still the Davenport Police Bureau. I would really like it if you assist with the investigation. Yes. Yes." He gestured to the laptop that Draco was carrying, "37 years old, Black hair, green eyes, has some burn scars on his arm, is a bit of a loner, does not have many friends or really likes to talk to people. Yes. Okay. He just left?" Arlen looked at his team and everyone tensed up.

"Send the picture to us now. His taxi as well. Our mail."

He got off the phone, "He goes by Ryan Warrow and he must have heard our enquiries so he is on the loose now."

"He must be trying to attack someone before he can go down. Who, the judge. Ravi, who is the judge of the case?"

"It would not be the judge? First the witness, then the lawyer, who was the CEO of Mainstream 30 years ago?"

Ravi bent down and searched it up, "Maia Black. She was the CEO then, now it is her son, Cole Black."

"Can you find out where she lives?"

Ravi did not even try to check, "Nope. It would not be alone."

Arlen nodded, "Call the Fire services and inform them. Segment called the Heroes Association, we have identified our prime suspect. I would get the CEO’s number."

He was calm, so calm. It was good. Ravi thought in his mind. He listened as Arlen called several people before he began to argue with who he supposed was Cole Black.

"Listen to me. Your mutants are not going to be prepared to deal with someone who had just killed three families in cold blood. Mr Black..."

Arlen’s face paled, "Mr Black. Mr Black." He frowned, "Why would he hang..."

He turned, his voice, loud and clear, "Everyone, suit up!"
