I am the Zombie King of the Apocalyptic World
Chapter 772 - 768: Great Hero_1

Chapter 772: Chapter 768: Great Hero_1

Finally, half an hour later, Tang Ye’s task was completed, and the chaotic Level 3 zombie group below began to assemble, re-forming two neatly arranged formations.

"It’s done." Tang Ye breathed a sigh of relief. Liang Hanyang and Ah Fu, not too far away, wore stunned faces. They still didn’t understand what Tang Ye was doing, but Tang Ye didn’t bother to explain and simply said, "Follow me."

With that, Tang Ye jumped off the giant body of the Zombie Hive, somersaulted onto the only Level 4 zombie wolf, scratched the wolf’s neck with his hand, and with a roar, like a sharp sword, the wolf bolted off!

Soon after, Tang Ye rode back and told Ah Fu and Liang Hanyang, "You two, find a wolf of your own to ride. Remember, scratch its neck forward and it will go forward, scratch it backward and it will turn to run, squeeze your legs and it will fly! Just like driving a car."

"What?"

Liang Hanyang became dumbfounded for a moment, not reacting for a while. Finally, he decided to give it a try by riding the only Level 4 zombie hawk remaining around, and scratched his hands on the hawk.

Roar!

With a shrieking cry, the enormous wings of the hawk shook and headed straight to the sky, scaring Liang Hanyang.

"Ah! Help! I’m scared of heights!"

Tang Ye shook his head without a word and shouted, "Scratch it backward, it will fly down."

It was unclear if Liang Hanyang heard Tang Ye, but the zombie hawk was still soaring in the sky and showed no intention of descending.

After more than ten minutes, Liang Hanyang’s screams turned into laughter. Judging by his mood, he should have gotten the hang of controlling the zombie hawk, quite enjoying the feeling of flying freely in the sky.

"Ah, take me with you!"

At this point, Ah Fu was anxious. However, Tang Ye and Liang Hanyang had already ridden far away on their respective zombie beasts.

"We’re going to Shiwuguan Base. You’ll have to get there by yourself."

Left with no choice, Ah Fu found a Level 3 zombie hawk to ride. The result, however, was unexpected. Ah Fu had monstrous strength, but his control over it was severely lacking. He was a Level 6 zombie, an absolute power type zombie with incredible defense and strength, but such strength required a massive body to bear. As a result, his bodyweight was enormous.

As soon as he sat down, the zombie hawk collapsed under his weight, groaning on the ground.

"Damn it!"

Ah Fu swore, resisting the urge to punch the hawk to death. He turned into a silver-armored giant 30 meters tall and roared towards Hua City. It stirred up a great amount of dust, not even avoiding Gujin Base along the way. He just wanted to reach Shiwuguan Base in Hua City, previously known as the Qinshan Base, as quickly as possible.

"Papa, can you jump higher please!"

At Gujin Base, a tall and burly Level 3 man had a child on his neck. The child was giggling, looking very happy, and waved his little hands cheerily. The man below was also smiling.

Dressed in his Peace Party military uniform, he leaped from tree to tree in Gujin Base’s development area, breaking many tree branches along the way. The survivors working nearby would occasionally look back at them, their eyes filled with envy.

Such a delightful scene never seemed to be their own.

Talking soldiers gathered together, placing their guns randomly, and watching the father-child duo playing. Every time the muscleman performed a perfect somersault, the soldiers below would cheer, and the child’s laughter got even louder.

Suddenly, the water in the cup on the table next to one of the soldiers began to shake. No one paid it any mind until the soldier stood up due to thirst and was about to grab it.

But before he could reach it, he noticed that the water in the cup was shaking rhythmically.

"What’s going on?"

The soldier brought back his hand, a confused look on his face.

"What’s the matter?"

"Hurry up, we’re about to disband soon. Today is May 1st, and I hear the party is slaughtering several pigs to celebrate. Don’t look so distressed."

"No, come and see, the water in this cup..."

With a dreadful premonition in his heart, the soldier tried to assure himself that he might be overreacting. However, upon closer inspection, he noticed that as time went on, the arc of the water shaking in the cup became bigger and bigger, to the point where even the ground under his feet started to vibrate slightly.

At first, this feeling was faint, but later it became more and more intense!

Several soldiers behind him also felt something off and froze. Their smiles vanished and worry crept onto their faces.

"F*ck, something big is coming!"

One of them abruptly stood up, hastily grabbing his gun and watching their surroundings vigilantly. His sudden movement startled the others, and they all stood up from the ground.

"What’s going on, is it an earthquake?"

"I have a bad feeling about this."

"Is something coming our way?"

The survivors doing clearance work below also noticed something odd and paused their work. They spoke uncertainly. The feeling was familiar. It reminded them of a scene they had witnessed at the base earlier in the year when a monstrous creature had emerged in Liang City, causing the ground to tremble just like this!

"No way, is it really an earthquake?"

"Could something be on its way here?"

"F*ck, don’t scare me."

"The trembling is getting stronger."

"Can you hear the rhythm? It feels like someone’s walking."

After concentrating on the tremors, someone picked up the rhythm in the vibrations, and the thought petrified them. Earthquakes didn’t create such regular vibrational frequency.

Gradually, the ground was no longer simply vibrating. There were sounds of "thump, thump, thump" now, and they were getting louder!

In the end, someone noticed a giant figure emerging from the dense forest in the distance! It was a giant, a silver giant in what looked like armor. Its terrifying face and dark, red eyes made it seem as if it had stepped out of a mythical tale.

"F*ck! Run!"

"F*ck! Zombies! That size... F*ck!"

"Run! Another high-level zombie!"

The survivors dropped their hoes and ran, while the soldiers guarding the development area did not leave, their faces full of fear.

The muscleman who had been playing with his child noticed Ah Fu coming from the dense forest and his face turned pale. He had been enjoying his child’s laughter and had forgotten to pay attention to his surroundings.

"Cong Er, follow those uncles back."

The big man quickly put his child down, his face grave.

"But papa, what about you?" the little boy asked, his face pale, his eyes occasionally darting towards the giant hurtling towards them and reflecting deep fear.

"I can’t leave. It’s heading straight for the base. If it gets there, more people will die."

"But... "

"Alright, go back quickly. Don’t forget, your dad is a big hero."
