Chapter 771: Chapter 767: "Programmer" Tang Ye_1
In essence, this type of subconscious action is like when a person walking alone at night encounters something terrifying, their first reaction is to run, to flee!
It is in the subconscious that when someone finds a lost mobile phone on the ground, some will take possession of it, while others will pick it up and return it to its owner.
These are also subconscious actions, but perhaps those who fall into the latter value morality more.
Similarly, conditioned reactions in animals are also subconscious actions. Just like if you have a dog and you ring a bell whenever it’s time to feed it, soon enough, your dog will respond to the sound of the ringing.
However, conditioned reflexes in animals can be both innate and learned later on.
Yet Tang Ye’s abilities do not fit this mold, he can impose and directly write a program in the brains of infected individuals. What he is doing is integrating the nest which is his second-generation infectee. Therefore, the zombies created by the nest should be his third-generation infectees.
Tang Ye is the first generation, and for him, whether they are second-generation infectees or third-generation infectees, even fourth-generation infectees, he can control them all!
This is why Tang Ye wishes to form the Death Knight Corps. He didn’t form it before he reached Level 7 because besides being able to control zombies, in the eyes of humans, it was like housing a time bomb that could claim their life any moment!
Tang Ye, Ah Fu, and Liang Hanyang all made their way to the brain area of the nest. From their backs, a pair of tentacles stretched out and picked up the Level 4 zombie beasts. They were placed on the flesh platform where the nest’s head was located.
"Nest, produce a large quantity of zombies like these for me. Remember, they should all look the same, and this bird, it can fly."
The nest was taken aback and did not respond with any information. However, the flesh within the nest began to wriggle. Soon, a couple of zombies emerged from the black output tube, a wolf and an eagle.
However, these zombie beasts were ordinary zombies, with all their bodies of silver color!
No sooner had they emerged than these zombie beasts began to run and fly aimlessly, their mouths gaping open and bellowing unusual roars.
Tang Ye was somewhat infuriated. He yelled, "Look at them properly! Are they silver? Notice their aura too. Look carefully! What did you create?"
"I..."
The nest seemed crestfallen, and once again, the flesh around Tang Ye and the rest became animated. The black output tube expelled another pair of zombies. Unlike before, these zombie beasts weren’t silver-armored zombies, their strength was on par with the two zombie beasts placed on the flesh platform. Although they looked slightly deformed, it was not a major issue.
"Good, keep it this way. Continue!"
Tang Ye’s eyes lit up. He let the nest continue producing zombies.
"Produce several tens of thousands for me."
He shouted, but he had overestimated the abilities of the nest. As soon as he finished speaking, the nest transmitted resistance.
"No can do, I can’t produce.... that many...."
"Huh?
Tang Ye frowned. He then asked, "Then how many can you make now?"
"In this case, at most..."
The nest didn’t know how to express numbers, but it made an attempt. Very quickly, a series of vertical lines appeared on the flesh of the nest’s wall. Each vertical line represented a Level 4 zombie beast.
Tang Ye understood immediately. After counting these lines, he found that there were more than six hundred. That is to say, the nest could, at most, produce only over six hundred Level 4 zombie wolves and eagles.
While this number might not have seemed large, the fact that one zombie nest was the equivalent of over six hundred Level 4 zombies was terrifying.
The tremendous energy inside its colossal body must be at a staggering level!
"What if they were a level lower? How many could you make then?" Tang Ye pressed on. He didn’t want to hear the nest say it was incapable again. The level below was Level 2. Mass producing Level 2 zombies as mounts for the Death Knights wouldn’t be worth it.
Fortunately, the nest’s answer wasn’t disappointing.
The vertical lines on the nest’s flesh wall began to increase rapidly, nearly seven or eight times more than before!
Tang Ye quickly made an estimate, seeing as there were over five thousand. After calculating the strength at the Shiwuguan Base, it shouldn’t be a problem as they almost had about ten thousand soldiers. These Level 3 zombie beasts should be enough to form the Death Knight Corps.
"Done. Half of these, half of those. Start making them," he instructed.
With Tang Ye’s approval, the nest started to massively produce Level 3 zombie eagles and Level 3 zombie wolves. The massive Level 3 zombies swelled the black delivery tube, and more and more zombies emerged from the brain area.
Tang Ye tested it out and heaved a sigh of relief. Even though the zombies produced by the nest weren’t silver-armored zombies, the nest was after all his second-generation infectee. He could control the zombies, zombie wolves, and zombie eagles it created.
Approximately half a day later, Tang Ye and the rest left the interior of the nest. With him came over five thousand Level 3 zombies.
Under his control, these Level 3 zombies arranged themselves into two neat formations, on one side were the Level 3 zombie wolves, on the other side were the Level 3 zombie eagles.
Each and every one of the zombie beasts was like a soldier ready to go at any moment.
Tang Ye stood in the front, located atop the body of the nest. The glaring springtime sun caused him to squint, but as he looked down at the Level 3 zombie legion, he felt a sense of reigning supreme.
This was what it meant to be a Zombie King!
King of Ten Thousand Zombies!
After an unknown period, Tang Ye suddenly began to make a strange series of motions. The nearly five thousand Level 3 zombies beneath him seemed to respond to his actions and they also began to move.
The zombie wolves roared and ran, the zombie eagles flapped their massive wings and flew here and there. It appeared to be complete chaos. However, if one looked closely, one would notice that despite the chaos, the zombie beasts seemed to be following some crooked path.
Some even acted mad and ran to the trees to bite!
"What is he doing?" Liang Hanyang was baffled. Atop the nest, Tang Ye was like a dancer prancing amidst the horde of zombies, radiating an eerie and chilling beauty.
His hands traced arcs in the air, creating a series of afterimages. The zombies below followed his gestures, running continuously and changing directions.
"I have no idea," said Ah Fu, scratching her head, equally clueless about Tang Ye’s actions.
If they stood close to Tang Ye, they would hear him whispering something under his breath.
"Left, left, right, right, left, right, left, right, fly! Run! Jump!"
From Tang Ye’s perspective, he felt like being over a computer fervently writing code. He was programming the five thousand Level 3 zombies below.
