Chapter 694: Chapter 690: Uninvited_1

Although these soldiers wore severe expressions and appeared truly imposing, a closer look revealed many of them constantly stroking their laser weapons tucked within their arms, the bright gleam of excitement occasionally flashing in their eyes. Their gaze shifted about, seeking a suspicious figure they could kill on the spot!

These men, who had just received their laser weapons, were fascinated by such cutting-edge technology, indulging their curiosity freely.

Their captain, accustomed to this kind of discipline among his soldiers, ignored their messy steps and lethargic chants. Leading the team forward with an air of nonchalance, he behaved as if he had no connection with their behavior.

"Heeheehee... hey, stop it, no more, that tickles–!"

"Exactly... Kekeke..."

From around the corner of the corridor ahead, the laughter of women could be faintly heard. There was not just one, and the chirping chatter was punctuated intermittently by a man’s excited voice.

The team halted. Several soldiers looked inquiringly at their captain, as if asking him something.

"Stop."

The captain frowned too, raising his head to peer into the distance. The soldiers below had a spark in their eyes; raising their weapons, they prepared for battle, ready to slaughter any suspicious figures and test the power of their new weapons.

"Do not act rashly," warned the captain. Anyone who could appear here would either be higher-ups or petty thieves sneaking in to cause trouble. But in this case, the former seemed more likely. Who would break in here and bring women along for no reason?

At this moment, a strange helicopter flew across the sky. It had no propellers, but a full silver-white body. The tail section was long, resembling a large hammer, and flames erupted from underneath, the result of a turbojet.

It flew low and quickly over everyone’s heads. But it was too fast; nobody knew where this helicopter had come from. There were a few words sprayed on the body which appeared to be the name of a particular power, but nobody saw what was written on it, and nobody cared about where this helicopter had come from.

As the captain and his soldiers waited for the appearance of the giggling group, a terrifyingly large figure who stood 3 meters tall appeared, with a voluptuous woman under each arm.

This giant’s body was rippling with muscles, like a perfectly baked loaf of bread. Even his overly loose duster couldn’t conceal his wild muscles. One could see his exaggerated abs despite being clothed. His head was bald and utterly shiny, but it wasn’t bright. Instead, it appeared dull, with two protruding lines of flesh running down the sides, intricate patterns on them. It was as if he had inserted two horns into his scalp and then stitched it up, making him look extremely odd.

The man was Ah Fu. When he appeared, the captain and his soldiers saw him carressingly stroking the women’s shoulders, with a lascivious smile on his face.

Perhaps because of Ah Fu’s uncanny face, no matter how he smiled, he always gave off a vicious look!

Following the flat helicopter in the sky, Ah Fu tilted his head upwards and stared far into the sky. His eyesight was extraordinary, and he recognized the words sprayed on the body of the aircraft. He entered into deep thought.

"From the City of Bright Moon... what are they doing here?"

Seemingly having discovered something strange, Ah Fu immediately lost interest in the two women, no longer displaying the previous excitement, and drifted off with the women.

"Captain..."

A few soldiers hesitated when looking at their captain, full of anticipation; they were waiting for an order from the captain to gun down this terrifying man!

However, to their surprise, their captain’s face changed drastically when he saw Ah Fu. He hurriedly made the soldiers line up and shouted loudly, "Hello, Brother Fu!"

The other soldiers had no clue what was going on, but, seeing their captain so anxious, they quickly lowered their heads and joined the greeting. Ah Fu didn’t glance at them once, taking large strides towards where the Bright Moon City helicopter had flown over.

"What’s he acting all high and mighty for..."

Watching Ah Fu’s large muscular figure disappear in the distance, a soldier grumbled discontentedly. However, before he could finish speaking, their captain rushed forward, and, with a series of "smack" sounds, slapped these soldiers upside their heads.

The soldiers were stunned, still reeling from the shock, when they heard the captain’s furious roar. "Don’t you want to live? Do you know who he is? Hmm?"

"Who is he?"

"A Level 6 New Human, Tang Fu!"

"What!"

The soldiers were momentarily taken aback; when they lifted their heads, their backs were soaked with sweat.

...

"You two go back first."

"Brother Fu~ let’s play a while longer..."

At the entrance of a military camp, Ah Fu’s gaze was fixed on the silver-white helicopter descending slowly. He tried to shoo off the two women with irritation. One of the women saw that he wanted her to leave and pleaded in a coquettish, seductive tone that could make anyone’s bones go soft.

Strangely enough, Ah Fu didn’t seem to care about their cooing. He pushed both of them away with a backward thrust, and casually dismissed them with a few words.

After the women went away, Ah Fu hid in an inconspicuous place, silently observing as the helicopter from the City of Bright Moon landed on the tarmac. As it touched down, the chattering soldiers nearby immediately turned their attention towards it.

A middle-aged man with long hair held a walkie-talkie and seemed to be communicating something. He was stunned when he saw the helicopter, soon followed by a few soldiers rushing towards him to report something. Judging by his uniform, he appeared to be a non-commissioned officer.

"The City of Bright Moon? What are they doing here?"

The middle-aged man with long hair and some soldiers from the Qinshan Base went forward to greet them. The silver-white helicopter’s door opened, and dozens of soldiers dressed in black exoskeleton armor jumped off it. Their all-encompassing helmets emitted a dark purple-blue light in the early spring sunshine.

"Are you from the City of Bright Moon?"

The middle-aged soldier asked uncertainly, but none of the soldiers from the City of Bright Moon answered him. After all of them disembarked from the helicopter, a slender leg covered in the exoskeleton armor appeared and confidently stepped onto the ground.

"Madam! We’ve arrived." A soldier from the City of Bright Moon called out respectfully.

A second later, the last person clad in the exoskeleton armor appeared. Judging by the curves in the armor, this was a woman—and one of high rank!

The purple-blue reflective visor peered at the middle-aged man. Upon hearing the other soldiers address her as Madam, he felt his heart jump, only feeling as if his entire body had fallen into a freezer. His thick uniform couldn’t defend against the unnamed chill.

"City of Bright Moon... Madam?" He thought he might have misheard.
