It seemed as if she was providing an answer to his question. The woman reached towards her waist and brushed against her steel armour, and with a few "clicks", she lifted her hands and removed the helmet, revealing a flawlessly beautiful face.

"This..." The voice of the middle-aged sergeant trembled. Before him stood the mayor of the City of Bright Moon, a Level 6 New Human! An existence no less significant than Li Henian!

Before he could finish speaking, Su Sigui waved to interrupt him. "No need for prattle. Where is Li Songhua? I’m here to see him."

After watching her pass by, Ah Fu found himself in a state of doubt. His eyes were somber. Li Songhua had just been chatting with him about their life’s ideals. However, as soon as another soldier arrived, Li Songhua pushed him aside, saying that a very important guest had arrived and there were things they couldn’t discuss together.

That was how Ah Fu was asked to leave. But now, Ah Fu couldn’t help but wonder.

He was walking side by side with Su Sigui, but this middle-aged, long-haired sergeant was a crafty old fox. Despite walking together, he always kept himself half a step behind Su Sigui, allowing her to lead the way.

The soldiers from the City of Bright Moon hung back. But as they got closer to the government building, Ah Fu noticed something odd.

These soldiers began to scatter. Eventually, when they reached the small pathway that Ah Fu had walked past earlier, two soldiers removed their helmets and went in two different directions, leaving the group.

Less than a minute passed and two more soldiers broke away from the formation and disappeared somewhere.

"What are they trying to do?"

Ah Fu tactfully avoided the soldiers of the City of Bright Moon, going unnoticed, and continued to follow Su Sigui’s group silently.

The middle-aged sergeant with long hair led Su Sigui not towards the main entrance but rather to the back door of the government building. The reason wasn’t clear. Maybe Su Sigui had instructed him to do so.

Finally, when they reached the back entrance, Ah Fu ceased his pursuit. He observed as Su Sigui entered the building with only four soldiers, leaving the rest to guard the door.

Not long after, Ah Fu heard some noise coming from inside the building.

"May I know who you are?"

"I’m looking for Li Songhua. Where is he?"

"Sorry, our Leader has important matters to attend to and isn’t seeing anyone."

This man had approached Li Songhua a long time ago. Li Songhua had not agreed to his proposal then. But after the zombie riot started spreading from the north, and zombies in many base cities began rioting, he began having second thoughts.
