Chapter 678: Chapter 676: The Zombie Born from the Hive_1

Tang Ye scolded Ah Fu, and the two zombies gradually entered the administrative area designated by the Peace Party, a place exclusive to its members.

Only once they were inside the administrative district did the surroundings quiet down. From a distance, Tang Ye and Ah Fu could see a gathering of hundreds of survivors in the square ahead. These survivors were about to join the Peace Party but first had to undergo training.

At the front of the crowd, Yan Jie was pacing back and forth, holding a microphone up to his mouth and discussing various topics. Listening closely, it seemed like Yan Jie was spreading the same brainwashing propaganda as Xu Haishui.

Soon, the crowd roared in unison, "For the honor of the organization!"

The shout of hundreds of people soared up into the sky, causing Tang Ye to startle. He then shifted his gaze from Yan Jie, who seemed to have noticed Tang Ye and saluted him in a manner unique to the Peace Party. With his left hand flat against his chest and bowing, his action was replicated by the hundreds below, all saluting Tang Ye.

"Welcome, Chairman!"

The crowd roared again with great momentum. Tang Ye smiled and waved in response. He then left with Ah Fu, but only a few steps away, he noticed Liang Hanyang sitting at a stone table. In her hand, she held a dog collar, and a large, naked zombie stood before her.

No one knew what Liang Hanyang was saying to the zombie as she let out a giggling, "hehehe" before placing the collar around the zombie’s neck.

This zombie was strange. Its skin was pale gray, its muscles were well-proportioned, unlike any other zombie Tang Ye had seen before. This zombie was just a regular one, devoid of the grotesque, rotten, flesh-flipping monsters that Tang Ye had observed in the past.

The zombie’s skin was very intact and its robust muscles appeared perfect. Its gray skin was like paper, devoid of color with black veins bulging out. It was hideous. It had no genitals, and its head was bald. These scary black veins revealed themselves all over its body.

Even when it mindlessly opened its mouth to reveal two rows of sharp, shark-like teeth, they were clean with no trace of blood or yellowing. In short, this zombie felt too clean to Tang Ye, giving off an aura of purity, like a newborn baby.

"What are you doing here?"

Liang Hanyang didn’t greet Tang Ye warmly. Uncomfortable with the meatball she had stuffed into her body, she always felt as if Tang Ye was watching, making her uneasy.

Tang Ye ignored her displeasure and observed the clean, bald-headed zombie before asking, "What kind of zombie is this? Why is it so strange?"

"Oh, I picked up this zombie from the Mother Nest. Look, isn’t it perfect? The zombies born from the Mother Nest don’t look as good as my baby."

Referencing the zombie, Liang Hanyang’s face lit up with a smile. She seemed to pull a wig out of nowhere and swiftly placed it onto the zombie’s bald head.

"Mother Nest?" Tang Ye initially hesitated then realized what Liang Hanyang was talking about. He had learned of a strange object in Liang City District said to be called the "Mother Nest" by knowledgeable survivors. Huge in size and credited for producing zombies, it had earned its name accordingly.

"Hm, the chairman doesn’t know about the Mother Nest?" Liang Hanyang looked puzzled and continued, "It was created by the Mother Nest. That sorry lump of a thing produces distasteful zombies, but this one is the most perfect capable of pleasing any eye. Don’t you think it’s pretty?"

As she spoke, Liang Hanyang stood up and caressed the zombie’s handsome face, clearly very fond of it.

The faces of Tang Ye and Ah Fu were somewhat strange. A moment later, Ah Fu poked Tang Ye’s shoulder with his hand and muttered, "Boss, is she disgracing the Zombie King?"

Before Tang Ye could respond, Liang Hanyang flew into a rage, shouting, "Who’s disgracing your boss? You old pervert! Big idiot!"

"Who are you calling a big idiot?"

"Whoever responded is the idiot."

"Cut it out!" Seeing that the two zombies were about to argue, Tang Ye quickly pulled them away. Defiantly, Liang Hanyang turned her head to the side while Ah Fu hooked his finger and ceased to pay any attention to her.

"So where is this Mother Nest? I heard from the outside that it covers a radius of several kilometers in Liang City. I haven’t encountered it yet."

Perhaps the route Tang Ye took had allowed him to avoid the Mother Nest, as he had not seen it yet. However, his curiosity was piqued by this strange thing. He thought that eradicating all the zombies would result in the end of the apocalypse and that as long as humans kept reproducing while zombies did not, humankind would eventually win. But with the revelation of an entity capable of producing zombies, Tang Ye wondered what the Mother Nest really was.

"Hehe, the Mother Nest is vast, underneath it are countless zombies, tons of them! Also, the zombies it births each day is no small number, they pop up like bubbles! The zombies birthed by the Mother Nest look like this. Chairman, don’t have designs on it, I spent a lot of time looking for this one, all the other zombies born from the Mother Nest were so ugly."

Liang Hanyang fetched a leash and affixed it to the zombie, while also tidying up the little knick-knacks scattered on her stone table. She then sprung off the table and continued, "If you want to find it, Chairman, follow me. It’s easy to locate."

With that, Liang Hanyang led her handsome zombie towards the exit of the administrative district.

Tang Ye and Ah Fu looked at each other, wanting to say something but silent. They hadn’t told her they wanted to go now. Tang Ye had just hoped to learn exactly where the mother nest was from Liang Hanyang before going out to find it at his leisure. He hadn’t expected her to be heading there immediately.

"Well, let’s follow her. We have nothing else to do anyway."

It was five o’clock at this point, the setting sun had begun to hide behind the mountains. The survivors laboring outside the entrance of Gujin Base were beginning to return from the wild land they were busily reclaiming.

After dismissing a squad of Peace Party soldiers who were prepared to accompany them, the strange trio set off for the city center.
