Chapter 679: Chapter 677 Show-off Index Full of Stars_1

The three zombies moved at a pace that was neither fast nor slow for them. Due to their high level, even though they thought they were just walking at a normal pace, they quickly left the sanctuary of Gujin Base. Zombies began to appear on the streets.

"Chairman, there are quite a few zombies like Xiao Bai here, about half of them." Liang Hanyang said to Tang Ye, referring to the zombie she was currently leading as "Xiao Bai". From the beginning, Xiao Bai had been placed on Ah Fu’s shoulder by Liang Hanyang. As Ah Fu carried him into the city center, Liang Hanyang would remind him from time to time, "Idiot, don’t break my Xiao Bai, or I won’t let you go!"

Each time, Liang Hanyang would raise her little fist to threaten Ah Fu. In response to her threats, Ah Fu would only curl his lip dismissively and occasionally retort, "Even if I stood still and let you hit me, you wouldn’t be able to beat me!"

Tang Ye’s gaze swept around and he was surprised to find that indeed, about half of the zombies in the city were like Xiao Bai. The zombies produced by the nest looked very strange compared to Xiao Bai. There was one that had a single arm growing out of its chest, some had no hands but a ring of tentacles growing from their necks, and some had huge feet but were short and fat. In short, they were all grotesque in different ways. As Liang Hanyang had said, Xiao Bai was the best looking of them all. At least Xiao Bai had a human-like form. The rest of the zombies of his kind had lost all traces of their human shape.

Tang Ye stepped into the horde of zombies, raised one hand, and activated his high-level will. The surrounding zombies started to gather around him.

"Come here!"

He looked at a zombie produced by the nest and murmured. The zombie seemed to have its soul erased. Its body shuddered and after a couple of low growls, it started walking towards Tang Ye. However, it hadn’t walked far when its body shuddered again, and its white eyes flickered back and forth, looking around in confusion.

Tang Ye withdrew his hand. He had just controlled a zombie produced by the nest. It seemed that these zombies were just "cleaner" than the rest, and that was the only difference. In fact, they were no different from the zombies transformed from living beings.

As far as Tang Ye was concerned, any zombie he could control was a good zombie. Since he couldn’t control the zombies produced by the nest, he might have to consider dismantling the so-called nest.

As they went deeper into the city, there were more and more zombies on the streets. In the end, Tang Ye and the few zombies he controlled seemed to have entered an ocean made up of zombies. They could hardly move!

Looking forward, the street ahead was packed with the rotten heads of zombies, of varying heights. In the horde, powerful evolutionary zombies stood out from the crowd. They were eyecatchingly obvious.

The buildings on both sides were in ruins. Glass shards and rubble were everywhere. With every step Tang Ye and the others took, there was a "crackling" sound under their feet.

With such a scene of damage, it was hard to imagine anyone surviving in Liang City. Tang Ye didn’t know how many permanent residents Liang City had before the Apocalypse, but it definitely wasn’t as many as Lin City did. Lin City was a metropolis with a population of over three million. Despite that, even after the apocalyptic catastrophe, there weren’t nearly as many zombies in Lin City as there were in Liang City.

Just considering downtown Lin City, even at its most crowded with zombies, a person could still weave in and out. Of course, the premise was that you had a way to make zombies see you as one of their own. Otherwise, the moment you entered, you might be torn apart into pieces by the bloodthirsty zombies in less than a second!

But here in Liang City, they hadn’t even reached the city center yet, and the overwhelming horde of zombies was already making it difficult for them to progress!

"Why is there no effect?" Tang Ye frowned. They had started using their high-level will to drive the low-level zombies away and open up a path for themselves.

However, despite the combined efforts of Ah Fu and Tang Ye, there was no sign of the horde of zombies easing up. Instead, it became even more crowded due to their high-level eviction.

"Are you two idiots? Follow me, seriously."

Liang Hanyang looked at Tang Ye and Ah Fu as if they were fools. She then leaped onto the shoulder of a Level 4 zombie that was seven meters tall, and then jumped onto the ledge of a building, walking along the ledge towards the front.

She looked at Tang Ye and gave a self-satisfied smile. Tang Ye looked at her coldly. Suddenly, his body started to float up as if it had lost all gravity, rising to the same height as her.

"Can you really fly?"

Liang Hanyang almost dropped her jaw in surprise. Her mouth hung open for a long time, unable to close. Although she had seen Tang Ye float in the air in videos, seeing him take flight right in front of her eyes still shocked her. She couldn’t understand the principle behind it.

"Why bother with such a hassle, seriously."

Tang Ye returned a "you dummy" look to Liang Hanyang. Ah Fu chuckled below, revealing a mouthful of big, reddish teeth. Liang Hanyang noticed him and shifted her gaze to him, looking uncertain.

"You’re not going to tell me you can fly too."

Ah Fu shook his head. Just when Liang Hanyang was about to breathe a sigh of relief, she saw Ah Fu’s body suddenly grow in size. Black mist gushed out of his pores, and his clothes turned into black fog quickly, eventually changing into the black robe that Tang Ye wore in his zombie form. However, his was dozens of sizes bigger than Tang Ye’s.

Seeing Ah Fu in this state, Tang Ye breathed a sigh of relief. He had been afraid that Ah Fu, lacking any sense of shame, would perform a naked reveal.

Ah Fu, who had just gained wisdom, was like a blank slate. Originally, he should have been a straight-laced young man like Tang Ye or a majestic Zombie King. But Tang Ye had carelessly taken him to Chenghuang Hotel!

That night, after Ah Fu tasted forbidden fruit, he became irretrievably engrossed. It could be said that one wrong move led him down a path of eternal regret!

Fortunately, despite his shamelessness, he still retained some basic sense of decency. He hadn’t caused too much embarrassment for Tang Ye. To be a competent Zombie King, not only one had to be majestic himself, but his generals also had to have some dignity.

Tang Ye had watched videos about himself in Lin City. The index of braggadocio was off the charts. Each time he heard others discussing how terrifying he, the Zombie King, was, ripples of amusement spread through him.

As Ah Fu’s body grew, the bloody aura around his body disappeared. In its place, he was surrounded by a chilling, bloodthirsty atmosphere. His imposing presence surged, transitioning from a three-meter tall giant to a giant of thirty-five to six meters in height!

Bone spurs grew wildly along his skin. Soon, Ah Fu was clothed in a suit of bone armor. Numerous long, black spines with red patterns grew out of his back, standing erect behind his head. Ah Fu looked like a giant from the heavens, exuding an impossibly terrifying aura!

As Ah Fu transformed, Tang Ye’s body kept rising and by the time Ah Fu was done transforming, Tang Ye was standing on his shoulder, looking forward with his hands behind his back.

"Let’s go."
