Chapter 904
Sherry Sullivan slightly lifts the corners of her lip, trying to pacify, "Professor Si, don’t be upset, they’re just two kids."
"Kids? They’re nearly 20 years old, they’re adults! They should behave appropriately. They come to school but don’t study, they’re always trying to take time off! This attitude is unacceptable in our training squad! Get out, get out, get out!"
Nobody has ever seen Simon Griffin as angry as he is now.
Raine Nolan stands outside, feeling rather frightened even just from hearing it.
She took a short video and sent it to her mother.
[Mom, Cousin Chloe was kicked out of the training squad.]
Immediately after she sent the message, she sensed something was not right.
Everything suddenly became quiet.
Raine wondered, "What happened? Why are Professor Si and Ms. Sullivan in shock?"
The nearby student also looked puzzled: "I have no idea! After Chloe Collins took out two sorts of invitation-like notebooks, the teachers were left stunned, but we don’t know what those things are."
Everyone else also squeezed to have a look inside but couldn’t see anything.
Inside the room, Simon Griffin and Sherry Sullivan were staring in disbelief at the invitations lying quietly on the desk.
Sherry picked them up and took a look, her eyes widened, "You’re members of Fire?"
Chloe: "Yes."
Wanda Wesley nodded.
She didn’t know where Chloe got the invitations from, but she followed suit, indifferent.
Simon made a tsk sound, picked up the invitation, examining it thoroughly, doubting its authenticity.
After two minutes, he put down the invitation, looking at them with a skeptical expression.
"What made you two qualified to join Fire?"
Sherry jokingly said, "Professor, I think Fire has lost its glories. Look at the last two members they sent, their poor skills, and now they sent two newcomers... Well, it’s not a pleasant place to join by heart, it’s not child’s play, it’s pretty dangerous."
Chloe: "How dangerous?"
"So serious that it’s not suitable for you two to mess with."
Simon: "Did Fire’s test questions get easier?"
His gaze narrowed, with solemnity filled in his eyes.
Chloe frankly responded, "Very easy."
Sherry and Simon shared a glance, scoffed.
Simon remarked, "So it has declined, no wonder."
Chloe raised her eyebrows in a chilly smile, "Decline?"
"Not decline? Do you think you could join if they hadn’t? They must’ve been unable to recruit anyone else and resorted to recruiting you two!" Simon affirmed seriously.
Sherry added, "Professor tried to apply three times in the past but didn’t get in. Now you two did, which proves that it’s not what it used to be."
Chloe: "..."
"You applied three times?"
Simon frowned, "Those were their golden times, unlike now! I gave up way before they hit a low! In fact, I think even Ms. Sullivan’s detective agency tops them now!"
Saying this, he shook his head, "It’s ridiculous that they let people who haven’t even been to college join their team, and they’re just two kids at that! Won’t they be dragging us down?"
Sherry said nonchalantly, "In that case, you two don’t need to bother about this invitation. We will explain it to the higher-ups. It’s better to be short of two helpers than to have two burdens."
She smiled slightly, "The teacher may be straightforward, but he’s telling the truth. Your qualifications are insufficient, it will be embarrassing if you join the team. Besides, you’re still students, it’s better to stay and study properly. Don’t bother with these matters."
