Everything he did, was for her.

He gently pursed his lips, breathing in her fragrance.

Morris, with admiration in his eyes, smiled and approached them, "You are a real man. You said you would come back, and you did. But how did you convince those stubborn old men?"

Alexander Foster looked at him, with his hand still holding Chloe Collins, and without explaining, simply said, "Go to your house now, to get something."

Morris frowned, "You’re leaving so soon? Alright, follow me."

Alexander opened the box with Chloe to inspect its contents. Inside were small, colorless bottles of X-2, just like what they had received from Hailey Spence. There were twelve of them, each one about the size of a little finger.

Additionally, there was an old notebook, its pale yellow pages showing marks of time.

Chloe picked it up and casually flipped through it. It was filled with dense chemical formulas that only a professional could understand.

It was messy.

Seeing this, Morris said, "My mother said that someone would come for these things one day. I didn’t believe her, but it turned out to be true with your arrival."

Chloe looked up, "Didn’t she say to hand these over to someone specific?"

Morris leaned back nonchalantly on his chair and said, "She said these things could be used to cure diseases and were harmless. Whoever came looking for them must be in need. As long as they were given to someone who needed them, it would be fine."

Closing the notebook Chloe said, "Thank you."

The two didn’t stay at the Count’s Mansion for long. They left after getting the things.

To ensure that nothing went wrong, the two decided to leave Janame immediately and bring the items back to the laboratory.

On the evening of the day when the items reached the lab, Albert came walking into the resting area with the report in his hand. He was excitedly saying, "Chlo-Chlo, Dr. Jones is really impressive.
