Chapter 1007
Albert Green cleared his throat mildly, trying as best as he could not to let his gaze wander towards the two of them.
"Well, we simply put the four elements together for an experiment, and then analyzed the components of X-3. We’ve gathered all the data. We will now have to speed up the experiment to produce some usable materials as soon as possible."
"We’re still missing 5 and 6, but I think, since the toxicity of these elements has been neutralized, we should try to develop something with them first. What do you guys think?"
After finishing, he pouted his lips slightly and shot a forceful glance toward the side.
Seeing the "intimate touch" between the two, he was filled with joy.
"When can we expect results at the earliest?"
"It will require a lot of testing. The quickest would still be two months."
"Alright, let’s go with that then," She said.
During this, her gaze focused on Alexander Foster’s wound.
With his hands behind his back, Albert Green said, "Then, if you’ll excuse me, I’ll go ahead now?"
"You should rest a bit, rejuvenate your energy. In a short while, when Fishie is not here, you and a few of the other uncles are going to be even busier."
"No worries, we enjoy doing our research. Besides, Chloe, there is some hot food ready in the canteen. I reckon you two only had one meal since you got back, right? I will have something brought to you."
"Sure."
After Chloe finished speaking, she naturally reached out her hand; the man turned his head in collaboration, letting her take away the thermometer in his mouth.
As she took away the thermometer, he began to speak, "No need to send anything over, we’re going to have a meal shortly."
Chloe saw the reading showed no high temperature and placed it to one side, looked at him and said, "It’s quite a distance, aren’t you tired?"
His eyes were filled with red blood vessels, looking like he hadn’t slept for days.
Alexander Foster pulled up his shirt, "No big deal. It’s actually good to take a walk after the meal before going to sleep."
In reality, he just wanted to spend more time with her.
Mr. Green understood immediately. Indeed, he understood very well because his wife at home often comes up with various excuses to prolong the time spent with him.
After more than twenty years of this, he was already well used to it.
"That works, eating and going straight to sleep is not good for health. Then, you guys go ahead, huh."
With a grin, he took off.
The base’s canteen served tasty food; all the cooks were transferred by Chloe from Fire.
At this moment, it was late, and they were the only two dining.
The television was broadcasting news of the night. And coincidentally, it was reporting about a Chemistry competition where her name was mentioned.
The photo captured a clear image of her and the others holding the trophy and certificate and was displayed on the television.
As she lifted her head, she saw Alexander Foster, who didn’t touch his food, smiling faintly while watching the television, his eyes filled with a hint of pride.
"The food is getting cold."
The man didn’t respond.
"Alexander."
"Alexander?"
"Junior."
"Bro." instinctively, she reached out her hand and touched him.
"Hmm?" The man finally reacted; conveniently, the news had ended by then.
The corners of his mouth curled into a smile, "What did you call me?"
As Chloe eats the vermicelli inside the abalone, she responded, "It will get cold if you don’t eat now."
The man leaned toward her, with a pair of warm and smiling eyes, "Can I request to hear it one more time?"
Chloe’s lips moved slightly; she didn’t quite understand how the word "bro" could have such an enormous effect, making the man in front of her burst into joy instantly.
This term is something she hears quite frequently from Robert Foster’s mouth, yet she never found it particularly special.
She gradually retrieved her gaze from his eyes, paused for two seconds, and said, "Bro."
The man didn’t say a word.
She slightly lifted her eyelids and saw the man’s deeply lifted corners of his mouth.
At that moment, she couldn’t quite put a finger on why, but her heart fluttered along.
