Chapter 1003

There’s only one Count Kurt in this place.

The color on Raine Nolan’s face instantly changed from winter to spring. She joyfully got up, sat next to him, and warmly greeted Morris.

Morris ignored her, swaggeringly took his seat, and nonchalantly stepped on Chloe Collins’ shoe.

But the next second, he stepped on nothing and tumbled onto his seat.

"Pfft."

Many people couldn’t help but laugh.

Morris blushed, turned his head, and glared at Chloe Collins.

She remained seated, sparing him just a glance and a smirk.

This gentle smile was both arrogant yet not disgusting, energetic and lively, it skipped a heartbeat in an instant.

Morris was dumbstruck for a second, then he turned his head towards the front, looking angry.

The person on the stage was talking and so was he.

"I heard you’re quite smart." His voice picked up a notch, then he asked, "What is your IQ?"

He spoke these words in the language of Grearon, so fluently that you couldn’t detect any accent.

Chloe Collins didn’t respond.

He sneered disdainfully, "My IQ is 160. This time, you have met your match!"

"You’re surely going to cry after the test because I’m going to brutalize you." As he spoke, he raised his middle finger.

As soon as he finished talking, he leaned closer to Chloe Collins, "You haven’t apologized for what happened yesterday."

A bit of reaction showed on Chloe Collins’ calm face and she looked at him.

Suddenly, she stretched out her hand, seemingly to offer an apology.

Morris stretched out his hand to shake hers, feeling triumphant.

He suddenly realized that her hands did not feel as smooth as any other girl’s, and there were a few calluses.

Just as he was wondering, a wave of sweet-natured pain spread from his middle finger, causing him to scream out.

Morris clutched his aching hand in surprise, not expecting this woman to be so strong!

When the meeting was adjourned, Morris said through his gritted teeth, "Don’t expect me to hand that thing over to you guys! Hmph!"

He walked two steps away, then turned around, added angrily, "Even if he fought..."

At this point, he suddenly got stuck, just squinted his eyes and walked away with his pockets jingling.

As soon as he left, people around them started discussing his identity.

Sherry Sullivan came to Chloe Collins’ side and sighed, "You really know how to make enemies wherever you go."

After thinking for a bit, Chloe Collins followed Morris’ steps and walked towards him.

When Morris realized he was being followed, he lifted his chin in arrogance and ignored her.

"What were the terms he offered you?" she asked calmly.

Morris looked surprised for a moment, and then coldly responded, "Why should I tell you?"

"I’m sorry for what happened yesterday."

This simple and straightforward apology left Morris taken aback again.

Wasn’t this apology too straightforward, and why did it leave him feeling a bit uncomfortable?

"You think that settles it?" Morris snorted.

Chloe Collins cut him off and looked at him straight in the eye, "Whatever makes you feel better, go for it, and now tell me, what conditions did he offer."

Morris was dumbstruck, suddenly not knowing what to say.

What kind of girl is this?

Shouldn’t she be arguing relentlessly instead?

What was this sudden surrender about?

He stared at Chloe Collins for a while, then turned around and left, "I’m not telling you."

As he walked away, his steps quickened, seemingly afraid of being interrogated.

From Chloe Collins’ hand flew the ring, throwing a soft Silver Thread, wrapping precisely around the boy’s wrist.
