There were two small white spheres on Chloe Collins’s bedside table.

The joyful exclamation of Raine Nolan clearly reached her ears.

[Chloe: I heard that when I had a car accident, they had a severe argument. Were you aware of this?]

[Mr. Green: I did hear their relationship took a hit. Everyone says it was because your mother blamed your father for not taking good care of you, leading to the accident. That’s why they fought. I don’t know the specifics though.]

[Mr. Green: What’s worrisome is if they publicize this matter, it wouldn’t be good for you.]

[Chloe: They probably won’t, if they wanted to do so, they would’ve done it by now. Moreover, they are unaware of the lab situation and only think that I’ve inherited my mother’s illness.]

Chloe chuckled, replied with a smiling emoji and ended the conversation.

She switched to the conversation with Heijii and instructed him to keep tabs on Rosalind Taylor’s movements, bring in more people if necessary.

Raine Nolan walked in, books in her arms, her steps bold and arrogant.

An overconfident smile on her face, she glanced at Chloe’s face casually, then picked up a cup of milk tea, inserted a straw and drank directly.
