His Toxic Addiction
Chapter 241: He Accomplished All

Chapter 241: He Accomplished All

Sarah came out of her eavesdropping spot. Her eyes widened at all she had heard. Everything she heard surprised her and their conversation was filled with nothing but love. One important thing that grabbed her attention the most were the legs and clothes part.

’And you got legs,’ her mind replayed the woman’s words. Legs? Why such a comment? Don’t Logan have legs in the past?

Suddenly, she asked herself, ’What past?’

Yes, what past? She barely knows anything about him so what past was she assuming?

Cut clothes to his sizes? Who was this man in the past? Another question, what does he have with Alfred and his daughter?

"Urgh!!" Sarah grunts out loud, "I’ve been so dumb and stupid," she cursed. She was just blinded by feelings and forgot other basic things.

One of Logan’s men passing by paused to look at her when she cursed herself so loudly. His stare turned to glare when he tagged her as one stupid cook being as stupid as she just cursed herself.

What was she doing talking all by herself in the middle of the living room? Have they gotten a mad woman within them?

Sarah felt the strong glare on her. She turned to the direction it was coming from and her face turned red from embarrassment.

The man looking at her have an expression on his face that asked if she was okay in the meanest way ever.

She gave him a small smile before scrambling away from the living room. She needs to have her mini dialogue in her room away from her eyes.

Meanwhile....

Logan and Valeria got to his room. Valeria froze and tears filled the brim of her eyes the moment she walked into the room. She was really proud of Logan.

He did accomplish all he told her he would. Even his room was decorated that way. The room would look absurd to someone else but not her.

Since he still remembered all the little conversations they had, that means he never forgot her, right?

"You can have a seat," Logan offered her the couch in his room and walked towards his drawer.

There, he produced a small jewelry box and walked back to her with it. He chuckled when he saw she was still standing and just like the Queen she had ever been to him, he walked down to her and stretched out his hand with a dramatic bow, "Would you give me the honor?" he asked.

Valeria raised a brow at his outstretched hand and when she saw how he bent, she laughed before answering, "Of course," and then she placed her right hand on his.

Logan beamed and kissed the back of her hand before leading her to the couch he offered her.

He sat her down before sitting beside her. He invested his time in starting at her while Valeria just enjoyed herself looking around the room with mannerisms.

Her eyes caught sight of Arissa wall like sized frame and her admiration stooped. The woman in the frame looked beautiful and exactly Logan-type of woman.

She turned to the man beside her and their eyes met, "Have you finally found the one you want to share your house on the sea with?" she asked referring to Arissa.

The woman must be very special, he even had her frame like a wall which is beautiful, Valerie thought.

Arissa came into Logan’s mind. To another person, he would have said yes but not to Valeria. Arissa was just his imagination at this moment and to Valeria, he want to show her someone with flesh and blood.

So, he replied, "No,"

Valeria pouted, she turned back to the frame, "Then, who is she?" she asked.

Logan looked at the frame, "Meet, Arissa," he said, "She is the woman I want to complete that dream with but she can’t be mine for now,"

"Oh!" Valeria mouthed, "What obstacles?" and now, she was interested. Logan’s love story seems interesting and adventurous to her.

Logan stretched his hand and wrapped Valeria closer to himself. "A little I’d take care of very soon and then I’d introduce you to her,"

Valeria nodded.

Logan never cared how or where he holds her in the past. Even when she was sixteen, she still sat on his legs and nothing happens between them but strangely now, her body was reacting to his hand on her waist.

Logan smiled, "You know I saw you out there, one time," he remembered.

"When?" Valeria asked sharply, excitement filled her voice.

"The time you came back for your father’s annual Thanksgiving. The time you turned twenty," he detailed.

Valeria smiled widely. "The hell, so you were stalking me?"

Logan raised both hands in the air, "Whoa, no. Now why would I?" he joked.

In reality, he did stalk her a lot when she returned that one time. He missed seeing her and wanted to feel her but the security she walked with made him stay back and again, he doubt she was still the same after going into that college made for the rich alone.

She might have forgotten about him was his only thought at that time.

Valeria’s smile flattened. She looked Logan in his eyes, "Why didn’t you approach me or let me know you were around?" her voice sounded sad.

She missed Logan so much but it seems she was the only one on that boat. He doesn’t seem to miss her as much as she did then.

She had felt like she would die each day during that period.

"You were never alone," Logan pointed out.

"And I have never been alone, even the times we sneaked to see each other," she countered, "There must be other reasons," she suspected.

Logan shook his head, "There isn’t." he brought out the necklace from the box before Valeria would respond to him.

Valeria was astonished by the sight of the necklace. This was the necklace she gave to him the night before she departed, ten years ago.

The last night she saw him.

Her hand cupped her mouth, and her eyes glistered. "You kept it," she voiced in surprise.

Logan nodded and dangled the chain between his fingers, "Wearing it makes me miss you daily so I had to take it off," he told her.
