Chapter 161: His Promises.
Chapter 161: His Promises.
The ladies swayed their hips closer as they salivated at the hot sex man who just walked into the club but seeing the grim look on that sticking godlike handsome face, they knew better than take a step closer.
They giggled far away in expectations while Nicklaus just walked towards the elevator with an indifferent expression as if the noise and his environment were non-existence.
Getting into the elevator with three guards behind him, his expression hardened the more when he glanced at his wrist watch and it was already 1 am.
It was no fun he just took a five hours flight and still have to attend to these pest higher-ups. They alone know why they sent for him and he swear not to make it easy for them if it was business related they had to take care of.
Leaving the elevator, he took fast strides into the business room preserve for the meeting. Looking around the room, his face hardened the more when he caught sight of Mr. Robert.
Seeing that man here, he could already guess what was happening and immediately, his face darkened, as the aura surrounding him turned heated up.
"So arrogant and thoughtful of you to keep the elders waiting," a business partner, also an associate of the higher-ups, Mr. Rhode said in a taunting voice as he glared at the figure who just walked in.
Nicklaus’s dark eyes scanned the scornful ass who just spoke up. A chuckle almost left his lips with the man’s words considering the fact Mr. Rhode was only five years older.
Not saying a word to the lazy ass who just spoke up, Nicklaus walked over to the circular polished wooden desk and sat on his reserved seat.
There was a long strong silence between the businessmen as they all stared heatedly at Nicklaus and being the youngest between them, he ought to cower under those glares but he didn’t if there was anything, his excluded more power than all their glares combined.
Finally, the oldest at the table cleared his throat before staring straight into Nicklaus’s eyes, "Mr. Robert here made a complaint about a month ago and that was why we called you here. Why did you refuse his opinion?" he questioned.
Nicklaus’s strong gaze did not wink as he sat up straight. He had no plans to answer the question just asked so he just kept silent and enjoyed the view from where he was seated.
Mr. Wyatt from the other end chuckled at his son’s reaction and with a delighted smile, he took pleasure in answering the question, "My son has all right to decide for his company. What should leave and who to partner with is up to him, and if he doesn’t find you worthy to work alongside him," his eyes turned towards Robert, "I guess it’s because he sees no potential in you or your greed is extreme,"
Even when his father’s cold voice spoke up, Nicklaus did not turn to him as he was all forced on the higher-up’s head. It was funny they never asked his side of his story or even if they knew, they never considered it.
His face turned uglier, did he leave his wife all alone in the face of danger - though his guards were around - just for some silly talks?
Though he has other things to take care of here, their call made his coming more effective and he turned heated from irritation realizing how he just wasted his time.
The hall turned noisy as the businessmen started murmuring at Nicklaus’s insolent act. It was obvious none of them supported the Wyatt family as Mr. Robert’s suggestion meant more money.
"You would get a good cut from the deal. Don’t you get what that means, it means more money," he heard Mr. Rhode’s ravenous voice from the crowd of murmurs.
His dark eyes squinted finally and his thin lips finally parted to speak up after twenty minutes of saying nothing.
Firstly, he cleared his throat to gather their attention which he got effortlessly because the noise died down the moment they heard that deep mumble coming from him.
His dark eyes examined the place once again and he started, "Let me refresh your memories before you all start being dominate and power thirsty to rule me, don’t forget what I can do and buy," he raised a pointy finger at them, "I can buy all twenty of you companies, thrice the price and still give you more interest without knowing I lost some billion dollars so if you would take my advice, I would advise you all to know I only give respect to my father," he kept his strong fists on the desk, "so if you want to rule someone, don’t come my way. It’s a warning," his already calm voice became calmer but dominantly and dangerously calm as he added, "Unless you would want your companies taken from you with no penny left on you, try me,"
Sudden gasps left the lips of the older higher-ups and with expectations, they turned their heads towards Mr. Wyatt to say something concerning his boy’s insult to them.
Seeing their eyes on him, Mr. Wyatt cleared his throat, "I think my son has said all he has to. If you all have more things to say, I suggest you hurry up. He needs to rest," he hinted at the fact they were stressing his boy.
Nicklaus nodded at his father’s words as he stared directly at the higher-ups, and with a dark promise, he added, " And when I’m done, I’d buy this group and for the record, I would top all of your pays with ten percent each,"
Everyone in the room froze, even his father did.
Unable to take the truth or in this case, insult any longer, "Impossible," a top investor cut him off
Nicklaus chuckled, standing up, he showed his dominance, "It’s a promise I’m giving to you and when I’m done with you all, I’d fire every one of you," he scanned the hall again until his eyes landed on the top investor who just said a word, he promised, "Starting from you Mr. Gabriel," and the man gulped.
"Nicklaus," the head of the higher-ups called him to order, "Mind how you talk to us. We can decide to take away your position if you continue this way," he threatened as his face turned red from anger.
Nicklaus chuckled, "Now, that’s the interesting part. I got married as you all said so, why don’t we see how you would keep your threats," he let out a mocking smile.
"Mr. Wyatt_"
Bored with the gathering, Nicklaus walked out of them. He did not just brag, he told them the future of what he would do to them all, and for stepping on him twice now, he would have to make things between him and Arissa bond faster. But whether Arissa leaves or not, he would set things straight before those greedy moguls.
