Chapter 155: He Fell With No Remedy.

Arissa pulled her wrist off Nicklaus’s hold. She was tired of all the attention she had been receiving from him.

"How do you feel now?" Nicklaus asked as he trailed behind her protectively as if she would fall.

Arissa rolled her eyes toward heaven. Why was he so focused on her well-being? The funny thing was that he kept on asking her this question even when she was being massaged.

"Arissa_"

"I’m okay, it wasn’t like I fell from the rooftop," she told him with a bit of sarcasm.

Nicklaus drew in a sharp breath and wrapped her arm around her waist, "Don’t struggle, tell me what I did wrong when we get into the car," he whispered into her ear as if kissing her there.

Arissa calmed down, "You can stand straight now. Don’t act that way in public," she chastised him with a glaring smile, walking ahead as if they were on the same page.

Nicklaus chuckled, "You kissed me in public the last time we were out together, and come to think of I, I thought you were only shy on be_ ough," he exclaimed painfully at the end of his statement when he felt an elbow on his rib.

Arissa smiled when he exclaimed painfully. She was glad her elbow was effective but, what the hell was wrong with him? When did he turn this shameless? She looked up at him, "Stand straight and take your hand off my waist," she ordered him with a warning voice.

Nicklaus frowned and in the next moment, he surprised her by pulling her closer to his side with his palm gripping her bum.

Arissa inhaled forcefully with shock, "Nicklaus, take your hand off me,"

Nicklaus’s poker face turned unreadable as he squeezed her ass the more. Arissa’s heartbeat fastened and she looked around the place as she watched her greatest fear take place.

Pictures were being taken but Nicklaus still held her ass that way.

Not knowing what to do, she decided to use his name on him, "Klaus," she called him. And with the power that name has on him, his hand squeezing her bum stooped instantly and he stood straight in disbelief.

His eyes on her darkened and it was at that moment Arissa knew she went extreme but how did she go extreme when she just called him by his name? Nicklaus flexed his jaw to not go vocally mad at her. His tongue stuck out of his mouth and licked his lower lips, staring down at her while holding himself back from dragging her wrist to the salon garage which was just twenty steps away.

Not staring at her, he walked away from her with the murderous aura that he tried to block away from her. He should have known that she wasn’t worth any of his effort.

She was only good at discarding all of his efforts heartlessly. At times, he wonders what got into him and why he cares so much about her when she doesn’t deserve it.

Arissa took in a deep breath as she shut her heart from feeling sensitive towards his emotions. He was the one who started it in the first place, he would have just kept to himself rather than acting like they were a match when they were not.

Slam!!

She halted when Nicklaus forcefully slammed his car door after getting into the driver’s seat. She immediately felt unease.

Taking cautious steps, she walked to the other side of the car, "To the front," his chilly voice ordered her when he saw she was about to enter the back passenger seat.

"I’m good h_"

"Don’t oppose me," he cut her off harshly, "To the front seat now," he commanded her sternly and Arissa had no other choice than to move over to the front seat.

Nicklaus gave her a side glance, "Your seatbelt," he reminded her when she just stared ahead with an angry expression.

Arissa put on her seatbelt without sparing him a glance. She tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear before resting her head on her seat headrest.

Nicklaus’s lips thinned. He tried not to care, he tried to be his normal indifferent self around her, but, "Are you sure you are okay?" he found himself asking when he saw her resting that way.

Arissa opened her eyes and turned her face away from him, "We would only argue if I stay awake," she replied still looking out of the tinted car glass.

Nicklaus’s eyes softened when she added, "I thought we would be okay until you leave,"

"You started it," he hinted at the fact that her temperament needs to be worked on, "I only asked a question and you got mad,"

Arissa turned to him, "You kept on asking that same question over and over again," she corrected.

He gave her a stern side-eye, "I was only asking to be sure. Again, why did you go to the pharmacy hall and ordered me to stay out?"

"I wanted to get something," she sounded guilty of something and Nicklaus picked her guilt.

Nicklaus turned fully towards her, "And wasn’t that related to your health?" he questioned.

Arissa let out a tired breath, "Nicklaus," she paused as if about to let out something she shouldn’t.

"Answer me, wasn’t that enough reason for me to get concerned?"

Arissa parted her lips to say something but suddenly turned muted when she heard the ’concerned’ part, "Why were you concerned?" she asked him in a shocked voice as she sat up.

Oh shit! Nicklaus cursed himself. Did he just say his thoughts again?

"Forget I said that," Arissa raised a brow at him as if saying; ’you sure?’ "I mean yes...a little," Nicklaus added in a sudden stutter as sweat broke off his face.

His emotions got weaker by the second. He took in a deep breath, "I_"

He was cut off when Arissa caught hold of his face. With her both palms on the sides of his face, she slammed her lips on his. She kissed him softly and gently.

Nicklaus frowned in the kiss and with a helpless sigh, he let her tongue into his mouth. He planned to be indifferent about the kiss as he was still mad at her for calling him "Klaus" but when she rolled her tongue on his, he took in a deep breath and responded to the kiss, kissing her back with the same gentleness.

This wasn’t what he planned but here he was falling deeper and deeper into her without no remedy. The fact he never planned for a life filled with emotions frustrated him the most but whenever he takes a step away, she would come two steps closer instead - just like she was doing now, kissing him after provoking him.

"I’m sorry," Arissa said in the kiss.

Nicklaus leaned closer to her. He wasn’t able to hold her waist since she was already on her seatbelt and with urgency, he pulled away her seatbelt and pulled her to himself.

Arissa flattened her hand against his hard chest and caressed it. Her hand went into his suit jacket and clenched a handful of his shirt to kiss him more.

"I think that’s enough," his deep low baritone voice muttered from the kiss.

Arissa swallowed and slowly, she pulled away from the kiss before looking into his eyes, "Why don’t you like it when I call you Klaus," she questioned softly, trying not to make him snap out.

Nicklaus smiled at her, "It’s nothing," he caressed her nose tip, "Just don’t call me, that name," he said to her.

Arissa closed her eyes when his finger caressed her cheek and with a soft nod, she accepted his wish. Maybe someday he might tell her but not today and she would respect his wish.
