Chapter 103: He dislike Collins.

The chauffeur highlighted the tense car quickly before he opened the door for his boss to walk out. Nickalus walked out of the car and proceeded to the other side of the car.

Before he or his chauffeur would get to Arissa’s door, she had already highlighted the car with eagerness to move into the airport.

She was an hour late because she had a short schedule arrangement with Adele’s new doctor. She hopes Collins would let it slide.

"Shall we?" she heard that low dominant voice beside her. Tiling her head to her side, Nicklaus was standing there with his palm waiting to take hers in.

Arissa stared at his hand for a short while before raising her face back to him, "I don’t want to hold your hand," she protested.

Nicklaus balled his hidden fist as her rejection hurt him, "You have to,"

"No, why should I?" Arissa argued.

"To remind them we are married," Nicklaus said.

Arissa turned around and scanned the place. The moment she did that, a frown marred her face with the number of pictures the people around were taking, all focused on them.

"Yes, we should," Arissa accepted, and rather than taking his hand, she hooked her arm with his arm. Not because of the pictures being taken - she doesn’t care about them. They can have all assumptions they want to have concerning her marriage.

She hooked their arms together particularly because of the amount of females drooling at his sight. It was unpleasantly annoying to watch them have no respect for her marriage.

Nicklaus was taken aback when she hooked their arms together. Facing her, he got more surprised when he saw the back-off smile she was giving to some of the females around.

He chuckled inwardly as he felt good about the progress.

As if that wasn’t enough, when Arissa felt his eyes on her, she raised her face and before Nicklaus would realize what she was about to do and back off, Arissa brushed her lips on his lips, stealing a kiss from him.

Backing away from him, she smiled sweetly at him which he reciprocated smoothly without showing how surprised he was about the kiss.

’She’s such a good actress,’ he noted.

He wish he could also act like her but that was an impossible wish because before he would realize himself, he had already leaned in, he captured her lips with his.

Unhooking their arms, he wrapped his hand around her waist and drew her into the kiss. She accepted the kiss and kissed him back.

The people around gasped in admiration while some in envy and more pictures were taken as the two kissed without a care of the world.

Knowing they were outside, they kept the kiss short and parted it a few seconds later. Nicklaus looked into her brown eyes with confusion as he tried to understand himself.

He wants her. He wanted her and it wasn’t her body - which was wired.

He wanted something more than her body but he can’t pinpoint the exact thing he wanted because it was all strange and new with a whole different excitement.

Arissa blinked and turned away from him as she assembled her thoughts before she dies of misleading thoughts.

The short moment she started into those soul-piercing eyes of his, her mind ran wild and dirty. Dirty things she would forever feel ashamed of saying were what clouded her thinking.

Nicklaus cleared his throat as he returned to reality, "let’s go,"

Arissa nodded and they walked into the airport lounge but that did not stop the pictures from being taken as no one cared if they snapped just a glimpse of their back.

Arissa was okay with it. In as much as it wasn’t-camera light flashing violently on her face, she was fine with it. Walking through the main door, she spotted Collins since he wasn’t far from the door.

"Arissa," Collins’s expression brightened the moment he saw Arissa walk through the door.

He thought she would no longer make it but the light in his eyes was short-lived the moment he saw Nicklaus following behind her.

Just like the outside, the couple’s presence commanded respect and admiration from everyone inside the hall. The person with the most attention was Nicklaus as most people tried to come forward but with his chilly indifferent mask, they all took precautions and admired from afar.

Nicklaus walked towards Collins with a tight deadly glare fixed on the man. He had never liked Collins ever since their first meeting and after the kiss incident, a solid reason to not like him presented itself, and grabbing the reason, his dislike turned to hate.

Nicklaus hates feeling threatened but with Collins around Arissa, he began to understand what it felt like to be threatened.

Collins also did not back down from the glaring contest as he strongly held Nicklaus’s glare even when he felt suffocated. Seeing Arissa close to the scheduled seat, his expression softened, and a warm smile replaced his glare when he turned to Arissa.

"I’m sorry am late," Arissa apologized as she took a seat at the table.

"You seem different," Collins pointed out.

It wasn’t so obvious but Collins noticed all of the gradient exhilarating glow that glowed out of her. He had read her body language for a long time and with this much happiness, it was hard for him to ignore.

Was she happy due to my presence? He asked himself and as if to slap his face, his eyes caught a hold of their entwined fingers and he could not help but frown.

He swallowed the obvious reality that Nicklaus was the cause of the glow. Well, the pills were bitter.

"Oh?" Nicklaus chimed in before confused Arissa would process what Collins was saying, "She had been happy all through," he elaborated and with a slight lean in, he kissed the side of Arissa’s head.

Arissa gave him a low-key glare and Collins wished he could dig out Nicklaus’s head.

"Arissa_"

"Do you wish to eat something?" Nicklaus cut Collins off again. However, the kiss wasn’t enough to show his high status in Arissa’s life because right now, his hand was on her face, taking all of her baby’s hair strands off her face.

"Nicklaus stop it," Arissa hissed at Nicklaus irritated. Each time he meets up with Collins, he seems to always surprise her with his all-round possessiveness.

Was he....was he perhaps jealous of Collins?
