Chapter 291: Proof of Unfaithfulness

"How could you do this, Dom? Don’t tell me she just approached you because of your company’s shares. Why did you allow her to deceive you?!" Sasha snarled at Dominique, punching his chest.

She was so upset after knowing he gave Athena his shares for free.

"You and I worked hard to acquire the Williams’ company!" Sasha was seething with rage. She couldn’t believe that Dominique would be foolish to fall into Athena’s trap.

"What do you like about her? For four years of our marriage, you ignored me. You were not even interested in other women. So why Athena? What did you see in her?" Sasha just continued releasing her frustrations, taking them all out on Dominique.

Dominique didn’t stop her. He just allowed her to punch him. He didn’t feel the need to justify his actions. Sasha would just get furious further once she found out that Athena was Sabrina Williams. It was best for him to keep Athena’s secret from Sasha.

"I’m sorry, Sasha. I can’t control my feelings for Athena. I just found myself falling for her." Dominique said, apologizing to Sasha.

"That’s bullshit, Dom! What kind of reasoning is that?! You are lying!" Sasha could feel that he was hiding something from her.

"Don’t tell me you love her. You like her only because she can make you hard! You slept with her because she was your cure!" Sasha didn’t want to acknowledge that Dominique was in love with Athena.

When Sabrina was out of the picture, she tried her best to make him fall in love with her but she failed miserably.

"You can’t divorce me, Dom. I’m pregnant. And if we bring this to court, you will lose. So please... just stay away from Athena! Stop communicating with her. Avoid her at all costs. If you want, we can transfer to another place where you can’t see her!" Her voice was filled with desperation.

Meanwhile, Dominique just fell silent. He was torn between his responsibility as a father and his feelings. He wanted to divorce Sasha because that was the best choice to make.

Their marriage was a failure. It would never work out for them. He only considered her as his friend, nothing more.

"Sir Dominique, you have a parcel."

Their conversation was disrupted by the maid’s voice. Both Dominique and Sasha looked in the direction of the door. The maid was holding a box with Dominique’s name written on it.

"Let me see," Dominique extended his right hand to accept the box.

"Can’t you see that we are still talking?! Leave us!" Sasha snarled at the maid, reprimanding her.

The maid apologized immediately before rushing out of the door.

Meanwhile, Dominique surveyed the parcel with his curious gaze. There was no name of the sender. The box looked a bit suspicious.

Instead of entertaining Sasha’s rant, Dominique shifted his focus to the parcel he had just received. He was intrigued, wondering about the content of the parcel.

Without further ado, Dominique started unboxing the parcel in front of Sasha. She became more annoyed since her husband was no longer paying attention to her.

Sasha was about to snatch the box from Dominique’s hand; however, she was too late. He had already unboxed the parcel and was surprised by its contents.

Sasha’s face turned pale instantly, and her body froze in place upon seeing the photos inside the box.

Dominique frowned as he picked up the photos, one after another. His gaze darted back and forth between Sasha and the pictures in his hands.

"You had an affair with Timothy," Dominique mumbled in a calm tone, his expression unreadable.

Sasha shook her head in disbelief. "No..." she said, barely audible.

Dominique continued inspecting the items inside. His frown deepened when he came across Sasha’s medical results. His eyes narrowed as he noted the date on her pregnancy test. Her pregnancy had been confirmed on the same day as he was admitted to the hospital after his accident.

Dominique recalled Sasha’s claim that she underwent artificial insemination during his accident, stating that the hospital had extracted his sperm that day. Then, a realization dawned on him.

"You were already pregnant. You didn’t undergo artificial insemination. I’m not the father of your child," Dominique said, his voice stern and cold.

He wasn’t angry about not being the father of her child. What enraged him was that Sasha had lied to him, making him believe he was her child’s father.

"There are only two possibilities. It’s either Ashton or Timothy."

Sasha stepped back, her body trembling. Dominique had just found out her lies.

’Who is the sender of this?’ She asked herself, shaking her head in panic.

With her remaining strength, Sasha snatched the box from Dominique’s hand. "These are all lies. Don’t believe this, Dom! It’s you! You’re the father of my child." She still denied it.

But Dominique narrowed his eyes. Everything inside the box is proof of Sasha’s unfaithfulness. She had an affair.

"Given this proof, Sasha, it’s time for you to let go of me. You have to sign our divorce paper. I’m not mad at you for having an affair. I understand because I can’t fulfill my duty as your husband because of my condition."

"Sasha, we have to end this marriage now. Let me go–"

"No! No! Nooo!" she shrieked. "Dominique! I can’t do that! I love you! I can’t let you go. Are you telling me this so you can be with your mistress? I’ll die before she can have you!" Sasha screamed, stubbornly refusing to sign the divorce papers.

Dominique rubbed the space between his eyebrows, taking a deep sigh. He was tired of arguing with Sasha. The evidence of her infidelity was his ticket to freedom from this failed marriage with Sasha.

"Stop threatening me with your life, Sasha. I’ve had enough of this. Please... just cooperate with me. Besides, Athena won’t be mine. Can’t you see? She already has Vladimir—they are husband and wife. Like you said, she only approached me because she wanted to acquire the company."

"You don’t have to worry about me being with Athena. It’s impossible," Dominique said, trying to console and reassure Sasha.

After saying those words, Dominique walked away, leaving Sasha behind.

Sasha began to run wild, throwing things around the living room. Dominique could hear the crashing sounds, but he chose to ignore them. Instead, he went to his room and lay down, pressing a hand to his stomach. He had been feeling unwell and experiencing discomfort, but he tried to endure it in front of Sasha and the others.
