His Mistress is His Ex-Wife
Chapter 290: His Vow for Revenge

Chapter 290: His Vow for Revenge

At Williams Family Mansion...

Alfonso returned home, seething with rage. He threw everything in his study room as he went wild.

Hearing the sound of breaking glasses, Meonah stepped into the room, checking on her husband.

She gasped in shock upon seeing the chaotic state of his study room. "What’s going on here, Alfonso?"

Broken glasses scattered on the floor, including his computer set. Several pieces of paper had been torn and crumpled.

"I just lost our company! I was deceived! I’m no longer the Chairman of W Diamond Group," Alfonso informed her in his angry voice.

"What?!!" She exclaimed. "How could that happen?"

"I misjudged someone. I thought he was my ally. But he stabbed me in the back. I will make him pay for this!" Alfonso said through his gritted teeth as he vowed revenge.

Meonah frowned deeply at her husband’s remarks. This was the first time he was outsmarted by someone. He got cornered. And in a flash, he lost his position and the company.

"So what are you planning to do now?" Meonah asked her husband worriedly.

A sinister smirk flashed on Alfonso’s face. "Just like old times. I have to reclaim it with force and brutality.

Meonah could only sigh. "Yes. Do it. Reclaim what is ours!" She even encouraged him, supporting his evil plan.

Without further ado, Alfonso picked up his phone. He called the leader of the gang who had been working with him for the past few years.

"Hello. I have another job for you. I’ll give you a high commission on this mission. I want you to trample a traitor. Oh... one more thing... This guy has a beautiful woman by his side. Make sure to use her as his weakness."

An evil thought resurfaced in his mind as he licked his lips maliciously.

"I want to play with them... make them regret what they’ve done to me," Alfonso added.

"Got it, Boss. Just give me their details," The leader of the gang responded.

"I’ll forward them to you after this call." Alfonso had finally calmed down. He couldn’t wait to have his revenge against Vladimir and Athena.

"You can easily handle him. He is just a plain businessman," Alfonso added confidently.

"Leave it to me, Boss. Just make sure to give me the down payment first," he demanded.

"Of course. I will also double your pay if you succeed," Alfonso reassured him.

The man’s laughter echoed from the other line. "Yes. We’ve done this before. We can easily get what you want." He reminded him of their past collaboration.

"That’s great. I’ll wait for your good news!" Alfonso ended the call with a satisfied smile on his face. That guy was truly dependable.

"You contacted your old friend," Meonah said, looking at him meaningfully. "Are you certain about this?"

Alfonso cocked his eyebrow, giving her a questioning look. "What do you mean?"

"What if he crosses paths with–"

Meonah wasn’t able to finish her words as Alfonso cut her off immediately.

"You don’t have to worry about that. He’s been lying low. No one would notice that his gang has returned to this city."

Meonah could only sigh, nodding her head.

"Alright. I’ll trust your judgment."

Alfonso grabbed her, hugging her from behind. "Don’t worry about this. He works so clean. My name will not be implicated. Besides, he never fails a mission."

"He is the only one I could trust right now. At least, he won’t betray me!" Alfonso had complete trust and confidence in his old friend.

"Okay. I believe you. Just be careful. Or else, your old secrets might be revealed." Meonah expressed her concern.

"I’m doing this for our family. For you and for Melody." He tried to console her.

But Meonah knew that her husband tends to prioritize his own gains over his family. He even betrayed his elder brother, pinning all the blame on him.

"Just don’t get caught." Meonah reminded him again.

Alfonso grinned broadly and nodded. "I know what I am doing."

At Athena’s penthouse...

Athena and Vladimir had just returned after attending the shareholder’s meeting. Luna was left in the company to settle things.

Enzo and Lanny had been waiting in the living room.

"So how is it?" Lanny asked them excitedly.

Vladimir and Athena exchanged glances with one another.

"It’s a mission accomplished!" Athena shared with them as she ran to her brother, hugging Enzo.

"Bro, we get our company back! You can return and work as the new Chairman of our company. Please continue the legacy of our father." Athena couldn’t contain her joy. She accomplished her goal.

Enzo smiled, hugging her back. "I’m glad to hear that, Sis. Good job! You managed to reclaim our father’s company. I am proud of you. Your sacrifices didn’t go in vain."

Athena nodded, her tears streaming down her face. She couldn’t hold back her tears.

Lanny and Vladimir just excused themselves, allowing the two siblings to have their moments alone.

Enzo pulled Athena to the couch, making her sit. He also offered her a glass of water as he wiped her tears.

"Don’t cry, my Baby Sis. You’ve done well." He caressed her face, consoling her.

Athena smiled faintly. Though she succeeded, she couldn’t understand why her heart felt a little bit empty. Dominique’s face flashed in her mind. She had no reason for her to pretend and be with him. She had already ended things with him.

And her next goal was to destroy Dominique and Sasha. But for some unknown reason, her heart felt uneasy.

"Hey, Sis. Are you troubled by something?" Enzo asked, noticing her silence.

Athena shook her head. "Oh, it’s nothing, Bro. I’m just thinking about my next steps."

"Take it easy, Sis. Don’t be so hard on yourself, okay?"

Enzo could feel that Athena was having conflicting thoughts because of Dominique.

"Don’t worry, Bro. We are almost at the end of my revenge. Things will go back to normal. And we can move forward."

Enzo nodded. "Yes. I know."

He fell silent for a moment. "Sis, there is something I need to tell you."

Athena looked at him with intrigue. "Alright. What is it?"

"I’ll be gone for three days. I’ll go somewhere together with Alice."

Athena was taken aback for a moment. She wondered if Enzo had reconciled with Alice and if they were back together.

"Did Lanny know about this?" Athena blurted out, worrying about Lanny’s reaction.

But Enzo looked at her clueless. "No. I don’t feel the need to tell Lanny. Besides, I’m just nothing to her." His last words were barely audible.

Athena could only sigh helplessly. She didn’t know why Lanny and Enzo kept ignoring their feelings toward each other. It was obvious that the two had special feelings but they were afraid to accept or acknowledge those feelings.

"Alright. I’ll just let her know if she ever asks me about your absence." Athena teased her brother.

Enzo just sighed helplessly. "You don’t have to tell her. Besides, I’m going there for a different purpose. Alice just volunteered to accompany me."

"No need to explain, Bro. I understand." Athena just giggled.

Little did she know, Enzo was going to the city where Dominique resided with his family. He would try to investigate what truly happened to him and his family. He wanted to confirm the truth about Dominique’s tragic past that involved their father, Albert Williams.
