’She is pregnant with his child.’ Those words kept replaying in Athena’s mind right now.

She didn’t know why but her heart was being squeezed as she felt suffocated.

"What are we going to do now? Things will not go according to your plan, Athena. You have to stay away from Dominique. Stop associating yourself with him. Just bring Aaron with you and leave the country." Gael expressed his concern.

Gael didn’t like the idea of Aaron being close to Dominique. He could tell that Aaron was so fond of him. What if Dominique gained Aaron’s affection? There was a possibility that Athena’s resolve might waver.

"No." Athena shook her head. "I can’t leave. I must finish what I started. I can’t give up my revenge now. I made so many sacrifices just to be here. I hope you understand me, Gael."

Gael heaved a deep sigh. He observed Athena for a long moment.

’Why do I have a bad feeling about this? Why does she look so sad? Don’t tell me she still has feelings for Dominique.’

Gael had this suspicion. He couldn’t help it. He knew that Athena had been spending a lot of time with Dominique lately. If there was one thing bothering him right now, then it would be Athena’s feelings toward Dominique.

’If she learns the truth that Dominique had nothing to do with the abortion, will her feelings for him return?’

"Don’t worry. I have to do this. And I still have plan B." Athena reassured him. "I’m going to ruin their marriage. I will reclaim our company. I’m almost there."

"Okay. I will support you on this. Just tell me if you need help. But can you promise me one thing?"

Athena turned to look at him, giving him a questioning gaze.

"If ever your identity is revealed, you must leave this country right away." Gael was serious when he said those words. "Someone is trying to frame your brother. I believe... This is somehow connected to the Williams Family. If they find out that you are still alive, you will be targeted by them."

"I understand. I’m not afraid of them. But if this puts you at ease, I will do it. So don’t worry too much about me. I can protect myself. I will not do something reckless." Athena swore to Gael.

"Thank you, Athena. That’s what I want to hear from you. Now, let me send you home."

Athena nodded, shifting her gaze from Gael to the car window. Deep inside, she was bothered by Sasha’s pregnancy. She couldn’t believe that Dominique got her pregnant.

’After four years, he didn’t impregnate her. Why now?’ Athena secretly clenched her fists.

As they left the hospital building, a mysterious package arrived at Dominique’s VIP ward. Sasha accepted it on his behalf.

Sasha assessed the box for a moment. ’Another package. Don’t tell me this is connected to the photos I’ve received before.’

Sasha was nervous. She didn’t know whether to open the package or not. She didn’t want to see another evidence showing her that Dominique was cheating on her. Until now, she hasn’t had any clue about the woman in the picture. But one thing was for sure, this woman wanted to destroy her marriage with Dominique.

’I will never let someone ruin my marriage with Dominique. I will never divorce him. I’ll use every means to make him stay by my side.’ Sasha murmured to herself, her eyes fixed on the mysterious package.

"What is that?" Dominique’s voice surprised Sasha, causing her body to jolt.

"Oh, it’s nothing." Sasha put the small box down as she approached Dominique.

"I’ll talk to Chief Espinas. I want Enzo to pay for what he did to you. I will hire more bodyguards to keep you safe. He is trying to kill you again." Sasha brought a topic, diverting Dominique’s attention away from the package.

"We are not yet sure if Enzo is the culprit," Dominique replied, defending Enzo.

Sasha frowned when she heard that. "Are you trying to defend him because he is Sabrina’s brother? For goodness’ sake, Dom! Wake up! Enzo is a dangerous guy."

Dominique just stayed silent. He knew that Sasha wouldn’t listen to him.

Despite the evidence, Sasha was annoyed since Dominique still wanted to protect Enzo. The driver already confessed that Enzo was the one who hired him to do the crime.

Sasha grabbed the package and left the ward. She decided to open it without being seen by Dominique.

Sasha was dumbfounded when she saw the contents of the package. It was different from what she had expected. There was an old wristwatch with a note.

[ I’ll come to visit you soon, son. Recover quickly. ]

"Son? Dominique’s father is dead. Who sent this?"

Without further ado, Sasha returned to Dominique’s ward, showing him the package.

"Dom, you have to see this. Do you know who sent this?" She asked him expectantly.

Dominique checked the box and saw the familiar wristwatch. Though it was already old, the watch was still functioning well.

Dominique blinked with amusement as he stared at the note. After a while, a faint smile curled up on his face.

’He is back.’ He thought to himself, holding the watch as if it were the most precious thing in his life.

Sasha was still puzzled when she saw Dominique’s strange expression. She saw longing and happiness in his eyes.

"Dom? Who is he? Is he your father? Is he alive?" Sasha asked him once again, hoping to hear an answer from Dominique.

The smile on Dominique’s face disappeared because of Sasha’s last remarks. "I know my father is dead. But this person is not my biological father. He is the one who supported me from behind."

"Your foster father? I want to meet him. We need to ask for his help for your protection!" Sasha blurted out excitedly. She couldn’t wait to meet this person. She was aware that there was another person assisting Dominique in the shadows. But she had never met this person.

Dominique didn’t say a word. He just wondered what this person was doing right now. He wondered if he heard about the accident that’s why he finally contacted him after so many years of not keeping in touch with him.
