Dmitri assessed Lanny’s condo unit. It is spacious as compared to an ordinary condo unit. There are three rooms, one kitchen with a dining area and a wide living room.

He sat down on the sofa as he waited for Lanny. She headed to the kitchen to cook dinner for her important guest.

’Sigh. What a stressful night?!’ Lanny still couldn’t believe that Dmitri De Luca was now in her unit.

She simply cooked ramen noodles for him. As she prepared the meal, she still couldn’t help but think about Enzo.

She immediately grabbed her phone and sent a message to Athena.

[ Enzo came to visit me. He is requesting us to drop by the Goddess Elixir Cafe tomorrow. Are you available? He wants to talk about your father. ]

Athena was on her way home when she received Lanny’s message. Ashton was driving her home.

[ Okay, Lanny. Got it. See you tomorrow. ]

After getting Athena’s response, Lanny focused her attention back on the ramen.

When she was done cooking, she proceeded to the living room to check on Dmitri. She saw him roaming around, checking every room.

"Why? Aren’t you satisfied with my place? If you want a big bedroom, I can arrange a hotel for you. I know this unit couldn’t even match the size of your bathroom." Lanny assumed that Dmitri was dissatisfied with her place.

The De Luca mansion was so big. The family was the wealthiest in their city.

Dmitri shook his head as he walked toward her. "No. I want this small space. If I open the door of my room, I can see you right away."

Lanny frowned as she noticed his gorgeous smile. ’Why does he keep on smiling?’

"You are a PLAY Boy. You know how to sweet talk a woman."

"I’ll consider that as a compliment," Dmitri replied cheekily.

Lanny just rolled her eyes. She grabbed him as she pulled him to the dining area. "Stop teasing me. You should eat. Your meal is ready."

"So... you are living here alone? Where’s your brother, V?" Dmitri asked Lanny as he settled on the chair.

"Yes. He has a separate place. Have you met him already?"

"No. I just heard stories about him through your father." Dmitri started to scoop ramen, tasting it.

He nodded as a sign of appreciation. "Hmm. Yummy. So delicious! You are a good cook, Honey."

"Here we go again with your ’Honey’. Just call me Lanny. Don’t be so cringy!" Lanny slightly reprimanded him.

Dmitri chuckled cheerfully. "I’m sorry. I am just practicing it so that it will look more natural once we marry each other."

Lanny just took a deep sigh. "You sound like you are certain that we are going to end up marrying each other."

"Of course. I want to make our relationship work. This is why I personally visited you here. Let’s start forming a bond and get used to each other’s company. Besides, we are going to produce heirs for our family." Dmitri said straightforwardly.

"Cough! Cough!" Lanny choked on her saliva upon hearing that.

"Have you forgotten? I already have two children. Ivankov Family already has heirs. How about De Luca? If you don’t choose me, you can still find another woman whom you can use to produce De Luca’s heirs."

Dmitri glanced at her intently, assessing her expression. After a while, he spoke up once more, sharing his thoughts.

"Why do I feel like you don’t want to marry me? Are you against this arranged marriage between our families? Do you like someone else? Are you still looking for the biological father of your twins?" Dmitri confronted her.

Lanny was not able to respond right away. She was caught off guard by his direct questions.

"No. I’m not against this marriage," she lied, careful not to offend Dmitri. She didn’t know how he would react if she became honest about her feelings.

"I’m no longer searching for the biological father of my twins. I can raise my children without their father. I don’t have reason to find him." Lanny lowered her head, avoiding Dmitri’s penetrating gaze.

Dmitri could sense that Lanny was still hesitant about something but he chose not to press any more questions.

"Alright. And don’t worry about it. I won’t change my mind even if you already have children. Besides, I like them too. I think I can be a good father to your twins. I’ll do my best to be a responsible father for them." Dmitri declared, his eyes filled with sincerity.

Lanny was at a loss for words. She didn’t know how she would respond to that. She couldn’t understand why Dmitri was acting like this.

’Perhaps... did he fall in love with me at first sight?’ she mused to herself.

She rubbed her chin as she stared at Dmitri suspiciously. She could see that Dmitri was now engrossed in consuming his ramen noodles.

"Do you like me?" Lanny blurted out, asking him.

Dmitri and Lanny were both straightforward and frank!

Dmitri raised his head, casting a meaningful look at her. He put on a smile and replied, "I can’t say for now. But all I can say is... I like Kimmy’s bright personality and Aaron’s cute yet mature behavior. I still have two weeks to figure out whether I like you or not."

Lanny: "..."

Lanny’s jaws dropped once again. For her, Dmitri was a weird guy. She couldn’t figure him out. Although they were both frank, his way of thinking was different from hers.

"Fine. Just suit yourself. As long as you will not create trouble. I am your guardian here. You have to follow and obey my instructions. Make yourself comfortable. If you need anything, just let me know. You can take the room opposite mine."

The room she suggested was the previous room Enzo was occupying.

"Hmm. Why a separate room? Can’t I just sleep in your room? We should start practicing sleeping in the same room." Dmitri suggested with a straight face.

Lanny’s eyes widened in disbelief. She was about to retort but Dmitri’s laughter suddenly bubbled up in the dining area.

"Relax. I’m just kidding. But if you will consider it, then I’m good with it."

’Damn it. I didn’t expect that Dmitri De Luca is also shameless!’
