Chapter 94: Silver

Chapter Ninety-Four – Silver

They would have made good specimens, if not that he only wanted them dead. Asher drew his sword down the head of the closest Lycan.

He shook it slightly then drew it out with a brain jammed on the sword. He would’ve smiled if he was in the mood. Nero’s body on the ground flashed across his eyes.

"You bastard!!" another Lycan charged at him. In a swift movement, Asher drove the sword into his abdomen.

He pushed it in, then squeezed the brain on his sword, splashing it’s slimy liquid inside the Lycan’s abdomen and on his hand.

The Lycan dropped. Asher slashed his head from his body, then kicked it away as he moved. He turned back to the litter of Lycans he had made.

Body parts scattered about, he made sure of it. So that no matter what witch’s magic that existed in the world, they’d never be able to regenerate those parts again.

Now, it was left with the one who touched Nero. He was a big one, his scent was most on Nero. He accompanied a bigger Lycan with blue eyes.

Dragging his sword on the ground, Asher calmly walked towards the scent of the Lycans. Along with his bloodshot eyes, were his blood stained face and clothes.

His teeth gritted when he remembered that for his coronation, he wore his mother’s redesigned Hanfu. Now, it was covered in the wretched blood of rogues.

The attack on this day was anticipated but not this soon. The assassination was the whole reason his father gave the throne to him. Things just happened too soon.

As he moved, Asher tilted hid head in slight confusion. Why could he catch Slime’s scent amongst the Lycans? Could he be facing them off?

"No way!" he rushed to the destination, appearing before the two Lycans, their jaws fell on seeing him.

Asher’s eyes darkened on Slime that was carried like a prize by one of them. The Lycan rogue with blue eyes kept the younger rogue behind him. "Run away with that one. I’d catch up—"

"You will go nowhere with him." Asher barked, his voice trailed with the wind as he immediately shifted to the younger Lycan, slicing his left leg.

A scream of pain left the young one but Asher saw a huge shield armor crash at him. He stumbled back, looking at skin burn off.

His eyes snapped at the shield. It was silver coated. The one thing he had no resistance to. He had already grown some resistance to wolfsbane.

The younger one held his leg, limping. If not for the shin on his leg, that force of the sword was capable of making him without a leg. "Big Brother, I’d leave first."

The blue eyed Lycan nodded, but kept his eyes on Asher.

As the young one limped off, Asher threw his sword into the air.

The Lycan in front of him was confused by the action but then he saw the King spring from the ground.

With, a double round house kick, Asher sent the sword diving straight to the young Lycan limping away. It stabbed into his stomach, making him slow down.

"Little brother!" the blue eyed Lycan shouted, a harsh kick on the shield reminded him of the predator behind him.

Asher looked up, finally wearing a satisfied smile. "Don’t worry, that will slow your little brother down."

The Lycan snarled, then charged at Asher with the silvery shield. Asher dodged, knowing the great implications silver had on him.

His eyes quickly darted to the younger one who struggled to move yet pulled Slime on the ground like he was dirt.

Asher seethed, sweeping the Lycan in front of him off his feet. He knew better than to attack as he fell, so the King left him running to his younger brother.

"You don’t treat my Slime that way!" Asher drew his sword out of the stomach, making the young Lycan cry.

Slime was unconscious and his head was broken in many places. "And he was still recovering." Asher muttered, swinging the sword in his hand.

He glared at the other Lycan that returned to his feet, looking hatefully at him. "I’d kill you, King of Lycans. I’d make sure I kill you, bastard!"

That should be his line. Asher pointed his sword at him. "I want you as my specimen, to break and recreate you. No matter what, don’t make me kill you—"

As he spoke, Asher felt claws dig into his legs. He looked down at the younger rogue who was still holding unto life.

"Big brother, drop the mission. Run away." He begged.

Asher sliced his hand off him, disconnecting it from his body. Before the young rogue could register the new pain, the sword also slit his throat.

"Ahhhh!!!" The older Lycan ran to Asher again.

The King cleared his throat. "As I was saying,..." he missed a hit from the Lycan. "... don’t make me kill you."

Missing another hit from the shield, Asher kicked the rogue’s head making him stagger. The rogue held a tree, gasping for breathe while tears streamed down his eyes.

"Huh? What are you doing here?"

The rogue turned to the King but his eyes widened when he saw another Lycan with him. It was over for him now.

"I’m Alpha Stefan of Black Claws Pack." The Lycan stooped close to Slime. "He’s still alive."

A grin crept to Asher’s face. "Stefan!" he screamed like a girl who just met their crush.

Stefan left the ground, turning to the rogue with a silvery shield. "You can leave, your highness. I’d handle him."

"No, no." Asher smiled holding, his cheeks. "I want him for my experiment. I’d bring him back myself—"

Stefan dashed to the rogue, stabbing his claws into his chest. He slit his throat immediately and life left the rogue’s eyes immediately. It was quick and painless.

He turned to Asher, expecting him to be annoyed but Asher still had his smile. "Aww, I knew you’d do that. Bring Slime for me then." He played with his sword.

Stefan’s shoulders slumped. Why was it the King he found first? He was actually searching for his younger brother and his mate.

Now he was to save the Lycan that burned his skin with wolfsbane? Stefan stared down at Slime, he looked pitiful and in pain so Stefan sympathetically picked him up.
