Chapter 359: You Killed

Chapter Three Hundred-Fifty-Nine – You Killed?

Cara stared at her older brother in horror as he delayed to speak. Had he really killed someone at Green Valleys?

Could it be why they all sounded so poisonous when relating to her? Did the Alpha know this or her brother had abused his power and kept this one hidden?

"Cade, answer me. Did you kill someone..."

"I didn’t. Don’t scare me, Cara." Cade sighed. She’d not have died in that one swing, she’s stronger than that. "Still, I accidentally attacked one so it might by why they—"

"Accidentally attacked one?" Cara raised a brow. "How?"

How the hell did he accidentally attack someone to the point that they could be debate on if they’re dead or not?

Cade sighed again.

He couldn’t explain to her or he’d look weak since his sister wasn’t understanding in any way.

He’d like to see her fare against a huge twelve feet wolf that suddenly appears on her face. She’d pass out.

Cara stopped pacing, she tried to stay calm or her brother would understand that there was more she wanted from Green Valleys hence why she didn’t want to annoy them.

She still didn’t know why but she’d like to get close to the Green Valleys’ Delta and get to know him, but that’d be the first connection she had made.

Feeling restless, even when Cara left, Beta Cade decided to leave work and go to Green Valleys and apologize for what he had done and also check on the girl.

On arriving at the Princess’s entrance, he saw the knight walking in with two little children. He waved when one of them smiled at him. "I need to speak to your Princess—"

"The Princess is asleep." A servant said from inside. "She went to bed early and said no one should bother her."

Cade didn’t know if he should worry that the Princess probably cried to sleep while mourning for the death he killed, that’s if she’s as dramatic as his sister.

"I-Is the girl with the white hair and the huge wolf, is she okay now?" he studied Zeldris as he asked.

Zeldris nodded, studying the Beta’s expression also. It’s good that he had a heart to apologize after wrongly hitting Quincy. "Yes, is there anything else you need—"

"Send me a notice when the Princess feels like talking so I can properly apologize." Cade’s confident tone returned when he learnt that if he didn’t kill anyone. "Okay?"

Zenith nodded and watched him leave, looking bigger than when he’d come. These lycans were really hilarious and liked being on top.

"Quincy, why did the Princess sleep early?" he asked when he saw him peep from the door.

Quincy froze, he’d been trying to hide from the Beta who he thought was sent by Lady Cara to capture him. Now that it was over, Zeldris had arrived.

"She felt like sleeping early." Would he also blame him for the Princess’s decisions? "Why do you ask?"

Zeldris had asked for no reason. The Princess should want to ask about the details of the royal outfit he had taken little Mira and Marino to go measure.

He felt that, as their mother, she should choose the style she’d want the children to be in, that could match hers.

He had expected her to still be awake to hear his response on the clothes but its fine if she wanted to sleep early. She needed it and in very good quantities.

"No reason, but you sound guilty." Zeldris referred to the Beta coming and Quincy hiding by a door.

Quincy felt more exposed and shrinked, he only told the Princess about her past, it wasn’t anything gory. "Leave me alone, Zeldris. You can go and wake her up."

Zeldris looked up, thinking about it. When he had tried staying in the same room with the Princess, she rejected him. If he barged in there now, she’d eat him alive.

His eyes went to little Marino chasing after a grasshopper and he swooped him off the ground, making the boy laugh. Little Mira was already glued to his arms.

"Well, whatever the reason, you two should be in there with her so she’d feel better soon enough. She’s all Green Valleys have now." Zeldris said to the kids as he carried them towards the Princess’s room.

Quincy reflected on what Zeldris had said. The Princess was truly the only descendant of her grandfather that still lived, but there were tales of another.

He didn’t plan to ever reveal this to her but he wondered if she’d feel better if she knew that her grandfather actually found a way to break the curse before his death.

(High Moon Kingdom – The Delta’s Quarters)

In a training room, filled with drawings of how to move in combat, there was a painted image of a lady in white training clothes that looked similar to hanfu clothes.

She was a legendary martial arts mistress and the late mate of the Beta of High Moon Kingdom. Lady Zara trained Slime again in her mother’s dojo.

Her leg slammed Slime at his head, sending him flying to a nearby wall. She smirked and tilted her head cutely. "That’s how you kick, young man."

How dare he pull the ’I don’t hit women’ card when the game already started? Wasn’t he the one capturing experiments for the King all the while?

Did he ever discriminate women from men? She felt like hitting him again. "Get up, Slime. I’d train you hard till you can beat that Alpha King of ours." Her smirk widened.

Slime stared at the ceiling with many thoughts running through his mind. His gentleman card of saying he didn’t hit women didn’t work on the Delta.

He didn’t like the kicks and less fists and claws, but he could see how it was useful.

However, the training was also fueled by hate and he felt that way because she knew he used to be with the King

She didn’t like the King so had extended it to those around the King. Surely, they must’ve been something. A past? "Can I ask why you hate the King so much?"
