Her Vengeful Lycan Alpha -
Chapter 346: Don’t Forget
Chapter 346: Don’t Forget
Chapter Three Hundred-Forty-Six – Don’t Forget
The young Beta’s no reaction response worried Laurel greatly because the Beta obviously didn’t like Sigma.
If he set Sigma up, with his brain smart and his innocent looking maidens that wouldn’t mind sacrificing themselves for him, he could play a really good number of Sigma.
Thales faced the young Beta as he felt entitled to the Delta’s safety. He could already sense that the young Beta had evil thoughts for the Delta.
He also knew the young Beta could achieve the thoughts, after all, he dared to frighten the King of Lycans.
Whatever reason he’d want to hurt the Delta will be related to the raid of their kingdom, and even the Princess had accepted what happened and was willing to move on.
Thales was very aware that it’d be harder for a child to move on but it’s almost a year and Delta Sigma became an important part of their government.
Not to add that there’s no way Prince Sorren will accept Sigma’s death as revenge and let the Beta go. Green Valleys will also lose a Beta and they couldn’t afford to.
"To that, I’d like all magical items within Green Valleys to be checked. The particular magical item that affected the Delta isn’t the type we use but could become like that." Thales said, hoping to confiscate the magic items he used.
He also needed to reduce the amount of magic imbued in them. Currently, they didn’t need to fight lycans so there’s no need to have heavy magic imbued items lying around.
"If you want to give the details on the particular magical item, then give the details." the young Beta said flatly.
Thales panicked. Why did the young Beta only focus on the particular magical item that affected the Delta? It seemed he didn’t hide his hatred anymore.
Zeldris frowned. Even he knew the young Beta didn’t like the Lycan Delta and while Zeldris didn’t care much, he knew his cousin loved Sigma to bits.
Also Sigma could be quite understanding and Bebe didn’t think he was a complete pain. Zeldris didn’t think he had the right to change the Beta’s opinion since he’s the victim but forgetting Sigma’s offense would be best.
To Escanor, revenge wasn’t worth it so he closed the curtain there and hoped the Beta forget everything.
Valkyrie slapped the table, bringing Thales back. "You heard the Beta, didn’t you? He wants to know about the particular item. Who cares if it hurt the lycan Delta?"
They all turned to her. Zeldris knew Valkyrie hated those lycans and she didn’t mince words. Bebe stayed quiet because she didn’t want to get involved.
No one would ever be okay with their loved ones being killed whether or not the lycan became reasonable.
"Princess Laurel?" Thales turned to the last hope. The Beta knowing about the item would put the Delta at a crossroads, she should know that.
Laurel ran her hands through her hair, then decided. "Thales, you don’t just serve me but Green Valleys as a whole. If the Beta needs information, give it to him."
There was silence on the table.
Laurel added, her tone being laced with annoyance.
"Beta Cade beheaded my father. Delta Sigma killed the former Beta. The Alpha destroyed High Mountains and Silent River with his warriors. We all had to see it. Would you forgive that if you grew up here?"
Couldn’t they be angry without feeling guilty?
"That said, I’m sure our Beta wouldn’t put the peace we currently have in jeopardy." Laurel turned to him, hoping he understood what she meant.
His flat expression gave nothing but she still hoped he understood. She had nothing else to say so dismissed them.
"Don’t forget that we’re still captives here, whether or not we are treated like one. Green Valleys was a proud Kingdom with two other packs. Don’t forget."
Perhaps, it infuriated Laurel more that the reason Green Valleys had to suffer was because her father attacked Black Claws to avenge his wife.
Black Claws started it so by right, Green Valleys should end it. Her end goal as a Princess of Green Valleys was taking them back to their glory days.
She already promised that old wolf so she had to do it. Being a captive forever wasn’t one of her plans, at all.
The officials dispersed, some with heavy hearts and some confused. The Beta immediately ordered one of his maidens to investigate on the item Thales told him.
"A-Are you sure?" Zeldris snuck close to the Princess. He knew she was annoyed and probably spoke out of emotion, but her words might’ve encouraged the Delta.
"Black Claws started it. So what? I don’t have the strength to end it but I wouldn’t stop another. Unlike my father, the former Beta treated his son well." She shrugged.
Quincy reacted to that. Didn’t the former King of Green Valleys treat the Princess well? What had actually caused the war between the Lycans and Green Valleys?
It seemed it wasn’t just a case of them taking over the kingdom for fun. It had been revenge?
Laurel left the hall, and walked out of the quarters. "Zeldris, you don’t need to follow me—"
"I don’t mind." Zeldris immediately added. He didn’t want the Princess thinking that her decision annoyed him.
It made him conflicted since his cousin’s happiness was at stake, but Zeldris knew the pain of losing family so he had to swallow it down and accept that the Delta’s days were numbered.
"Can I come with you two?" Quincy asked as he followed. "Can you tell me who started this too?"
Laurel glanced at him and then Zeldris. She had never told anyone about Prince Sorren’s mother killing hers but maybe they’d understand how revolting it all was.
Her mate knew this yet never cared and only focused on her father destroying his kingdom even if it was in revenge, so Laurel didn’t want to care either.
