Chapter 332: Allergic

Chapter Three Hundred-Thirty-Two – Allergic

Thales made Bebe and Zeldris leave when he noticed Prince Sorren was in a messed-up state.

He knew the young Delta was a child Sorren was fond of so he understood Sorren’s mood change. He paced about the room, thinking of what could’ve made Sigma’s flow of magic become turbulent.

He must’ve come in contact with what threatened his life, but he was unaware of that threat. He couldn’t wake him up and asked intensively so he tried to speculate.

Minutes later when he was sure Prince Sorren felt better, he asked. "Did he go anywhere recently? And did he come in contact with any form of magic?"

Sorren looked up and stared blankly. "He mentioned meeting Lunarian lycan hunters with weird instruments. He didn’t say if it came in contact with him or not."

Thales nodded, muttering spells to soothe the troubled flow of magic residue in Sigma’s body.

The magical instruments that Lunaria had were more dangerous than the ones at Damancas.

Damancas fought mainly werewolves as they conquered packs, and their lycan hunting tradition was over, but Lunaria’s target were lycans so they made it extra fatal.

For someone with a unique flow of magic residue like Sigma, even a touch of those magical instruments might affect him greatly, especially as he hadn’t healed fully.

"Don’t worry, Prince Sorren. He must have touched those magical instruments by accident. Nothing to be—"

"Magic is that powerful?" Sorren asked, cutting Thales off. "Why is that powerful? I trained Sigma to be the strongest he could be and touching a magic weapon nearly kills him? Does that make sense!"

Thales moved back, wondering why it seemed the Prince blamed him for what happened, but he understood that it’s because he was a magic user.

"Just like a lycan’s natural strength, magic can be used for good and evil, believe me. Also, if they’re using magical instruments then those people aren’t witches."

Sorren stared at him for a while, before looking away.

Thales added, to set the mood for the discussion in the future when he had more information. "Sigma has something unusual about him, as if he’s allergic to magic. That’s another reason that happened to—"

Thales noticed the Prince’s body tense as he spoke of Sigma being allergic to magic. Did the Prince already know that? Maybe he saw the signs?

Unlike the Prince’s, the boy’s wounds didn’t heal quickly because they were caused by magic. It should be enough to know something was wrong.

Sorren sighed, holding Sigma’s body closer and resting his head on the bed. "Do you know anything about the threat by Lunaria? Is Damancas involved?"

Thales saw that as a change of topic but went along with it, since he was yet to give a good explanation as well.

"I can assure that Damancas isn’t involved. Also, many witches were bought by Lunaria from Damancas recently so I suspect that they’d teach the bred lycans magic."

Sorren frowned. Teaching the bred lycans magic equated to using them for war. What happened to Sir Darren’s words that the bred lycans chose their fate?

"Lunaria is sneakier than I thought. Do they really want a war now?" his fists clenched. "Do they really want it?"

Thales sat down gently on the floor. To him, the Prince’s emotions were fluctuating because of Sigma’s condition. He frowned when he noticed the King’s scent.

"He shouldn’t come in." Sorren said to Thales.

Thales teleported to the entrance immediately and appeared in front of Asher. He raised a brow when he saw the King looked quite troubled.

"The boy is safe." Thales wondered why he felt the need to tell him that. Surely, the King didn’t come to know that.

He also wondered why the King looked relieved when that was said. "Prince Sorren is safe too." Thales added.

Asher scowled. "Did he have issues too?" Hopefully, one that burned his face and gave him a more manly scar.

Thales shrugged, as he didn’t know if Sigma had followed Sorren or Sigma had been alone. "You’re different these days. You worry for them? You might be on death’s bed."

Asher reached for something in his pocket when Thales said that. "You’re still alive because I am busy, you know." He flung some seeds to Thales’ face.

Thales tried to brush them off since they looked harmless but his nose became overridden by an acidic smell that made his brain become dull.

He tried to cast a spell to protect him but his body became stiff, and worry beset him.

The King smirked, bringing his face close to his. Those were one of his recent creations from his lab.

Those seeds seeped into the skin pores and pollute it with acidic scent, but some werewolves would be able to resist.

The King realized that besides Thales being a powerful witch, he had a common warrior rank. "Should I kill you—"

The door to the room opened and Sorren caught Thales body about to hit the ground. Asher’s amusement died, even if he enjoyed the distraught look on Sorren’s face.

"Are you going to blame me for what happened to Sigma?" He asked to tease even if he knew should be blamed since he didn’t handle it early.

Sorren dragged Thales inside the room and let his unconscious body fall. "King Asher, I just don’t want you bullying a witch under my pack’s banner, that’s all."

Asher sighed. "Always so boring." He glanced into the room. "What type of threat was that anyway?"

Sorren didn’t want to give him the chance to worry about Sigma but Thales was yet to say why Sigma had a body allergic to magic and he’d want to know why.

"He touched a magical instrument. Something like that." Sorren summarized.

Asher didn’t think it should be that bad since he had held the scepter the young Beta of Green Valleys had brought.

"Take care of him then." He let it go and left.

Sorren clicked his tongue, glaring. "I already plan to."
