Chapter 331: That Zeno

Chapter Three Hundred-Thirty-One – That Zeno

Sorren expected more reaction from the King on learning that Zeno had a connection to Lunaria, while working under him, but there was nothing but a blank face.

Could it be the King didn’t care? Or he already knew? He turned to the King. "I expected more reaction from you."

Asher said back. "I expected more reaction from you."

Sorren narrowed his eyes at him, he knew he should also have a reaction but he didn’t expect the King to know he knew Zeno so it shouldn’t ring a bell to him.

The King grinned on seeing Sigma looking guilty. "Did you say something you shouldn’t say?" He glanced at Sorren. "Don’t worry, he wouldn’t hit you."

It occurred to him after saying that that Sigma probably didn’t get hit as he wasn’t actually Sorren’s servant, but a Delta that Sorren moved along with.

Sorren frowned, pulling Sigma behind him. Who would hit him? "Sigma doesn’t get hit. Where did you get that from?"

Seeing the Prince gets defensive felt humorous to Asher, he looked outside the door, then turned to go back to his study and await his guest, Zeno.

"Sigma isn’t Slime, I forgot for a second. Nothing to worry about." He said to answer Sorren, as he left.

Sorren felt confused because he had no idea who Slime was, and couldn’t remember if he used to know.

Sigma remembered Slime, the messenger of the King that seemed reasonable at first but then was said to have attacked innocent people at Silent River.

Looking back at it, Sigma felt the freaky behavior of the King might have rubbed on the would-have-been reasonable Slime.

Sigma tried to return to his room but Prince Sorren blocked him, still looking at the direction the King had gone through. Sorren was sure he heard it, the King leaving and calling Sigma ’cute’.

Sorren huffed, rubbing Sigma’s head. No doubt that Sigma was adorable but a King that didn’t have emotions shouldn’t be able to know that.

If this King had a soft spot for his Sigma, Sorren worried that Sigma might be the next person trapped here by the King and Sorren would never stand for it.

"That blood belongs to Zeno, right?" he turned to Sigma. The Delta nodded while searching his body for the blood that might have stained him that made them know.

Sorren couldn’t understand why Zeno, a member of the Liberation Squad, would be attacked by ’lycan hunters’ from Lunaria. Something had to be wrong.

"Sigma, go back to your room and be careful not to be stolen." He said the last part sternly, while looking at Nero, the King’s only able bodied person.

Sigma could definitely handle him physically but if Nero used one of his tricks like the adhesive that had been hard to move on, then even Sigma might have a hard time.

He watched Sigma walk to the room, with a confused expression. When he was sure the door closed without any obstacle, Sorren exhaled.

It’s not fair for the King to show him a more relatable part of himself when he should play the role of the heartless main villain. He turned to the door.

"Zeno, what exactly did you do to make the King know of your connection with Lunaria? You aren’t even slightly careful, are you?" he sighed.

At that point, Bebe and Zeldris dragged themselves past the entrance, Nero let them as Sigma had instructed.

Zeldris exhaled as he was within the palace and by the Princess’s reach, he didn’t plan to leave peacefully again if he’s made to move. He paused when he sighted him.

Bebe had the thought to attack Nero at his blind spot as he wasn’t looking but on getting a whiff of Sorren’s scent, she abandoned the bags she carried and ran to him.

Before she could fall on him, Sorren held her head back and watched her squirm to get past it. He sighed. "Did you two also meet Zeno?" he asked Zeldris.

Zeldris snapped from his daze and became conscious, he looked up like he tried to remember, but then realized that he’d never heard of Zeno in his life.

That was a typical Lunarian name and Zeldris couldn’t confidently say he’d ever met a Lunarian before. "No."

Sorren let go of Bebe and watched her fall because of the force she’d been using. "Settle in with Sigma, we’d be leaving this evening or tomorrow. Come with me, Bebe."

Bebe sprang up from the ground and followed the Prince, she turned to Zeldris and gave him a taunting grin. Zeldris rolled his eyes as she left. He picked her bags and tried to locate the room Sigma was said to be at.

He got in there and found the Delta holding unto his sides, crouched on the floor. He threw the bags on the ground and rushed to help him.

"Delta Sigma, is there something wrong with you...?" Zeldris jaw fell when the Delta coughed up a large amount of blood and his eyes rolled back.

Zeldris looked for Bebe in his mind link to tell her what’s happening but Sorren instantly barged into the room.

"Sigma, what’s wrong? Sigma!" he rubbed the boy’s back while Sigma coughed dryly. Sorren tore a part of his white cloth and folded it for Sigma to cough in.

Zeldris felt horrified to see so much blood on the ground. He stared at Prince Sorren’s cloth that had already soaked all the blood but he didn’t seem to mind.

Zeldris left the ground. This Sigma was really important to his cousin. "I’d find Thales now." He left the room after saying that. Luckily, he saw Bebe running in with Thales.

Thales casted a paralysis spell, and immediately he entered the room, he sent it to Sigma. The boy fell asleep on Sorren, who held him dearly.

"Is everything alright—" Thales paused Bebe’s question. Bebe stepped back, confused. Prince Sorren had suddenly ran back after spacing out.

She speculated that Sigma had mind linked him, calling for help and Sorren asked her for Thales’ whereabouts.

Thales had given her a bracelet that could summon him from wherever he went and that’s how she could call him back.

"H-He bled a lot." Zeldris muttered, looking at the ground, but what broke him more was seeing his cousin at the verge of tears. Sigma must be really important to him.
