Chapter Three Hundred-Thirty – I don’t know
Zeno’s frown deepened, and he stood straight, pressing his clothes to his injured side slightly. What does this young boy know? "It’s not really like that, you know."
He’s quite aware, actually very aware of Lunaria’s threat to High Moon Kingdom, but only few people knew what it’s actually for, and he happened to be one of the few.
As a member of the Liberation Squad and part of the battle forces, he knew that the royalties of Lunaria didn’t have intentions to start an unnecessary war.
Sigma huffed. "I said I don’t know. Prince Sorren and I came to talk to that freakish King but I don’t know if—"
"Prince Sorren?" Zeno grabbed the boy’s shoulder, with a hopeful expression.
He had suffered a lot while looking for Princess Laurel and Prince Sorren and finally he’d met someone that knew them here.
High Moon Kingdom was still a new place to him and no one at Blood Moon Pack was available to take him on a stroll about and he’d lost his directions many times.
"Take me to your Prince Sorren. I’m an official at Blood Moon Pack, under High Moon Kingdom and one of you." Zeno tried to sound assuring.
Sigma raised a brow, looking the lycan up and down. How did he shift from saying he was from Lunaria to saying he was in a pack under the lycan King?
But Sigma felt it ridiculous for him to have any connection to Lunaria while not being a werewolf. He decided not to take his words seriously but oblige him.
"Prince Sorren is at the freaky King’s palace. Along with Princess Laurel. If you’re who you say you are, you should have no problem going to the King’s Palace." He told.
Zeno smirked. The young man really had trust issues. "Are you related to Prince Sorren? That necklace..." he glanced at a light necklace around Sigma’s neck. "It looked like the one he wore at the Lycan Packs Meeting."
Sigma stared at the necklace and sighed. He began leaving. "Well, it belongs to Prince Sorren and yes, we are related. I’d go ahead."
His mind went to those two he had knock out, they were definitely lycan hunters if they were trying to harm and capture a lycan with those weird weapons.
Those weapons they had definitely oozed ominous aura but he didn’t feel like satisfying his curiosity and continued to leave. "I’d head for the palace first."
Zeno nodded, looking down at his injury that healed really slowly because of the magical instruments used to strike him. He exhaled when Sigma was out of sight and fell to the ground, groaning in pain.
The pain was much to bear but he didn’t want another official to see him in an embarrassing state again, like Alpha Stefan.
He could only barely manage the pain because he’d have similar injuries like this in the past.
"I’ve to punish Lorena and Levine for this mess-up. Giving powerful instruments to cocky teenagers and making them talk like lycan hunters." He hissed. "Appalling."
Meanwhile, Sigma reached the house of the landlord of the courtyard and made a satisfactory trash of the place. The servants were on their knees, begging.
"We were blackmailed to keep sending lycans there or we’d be beaten up!" One of them cried but received a kick that stretched her to the wall.
Sigma stared at them in disappointment. They’d let other lycans be attacked instead of standing their ground and fighting back? Such a disgusting set of people.
"Either way, tell the landlord that we left his courtyard. I feel so disgusted to go back to that place owned by you jerks." He spat at them and walked away.
He already told Bebe and Zeldris to meet him at the palace so they didn’t need him to walk them. He returned to the palace and found Nero still stationed at the entrance.
"Um... two servants... not servants actually.... An official and a scrawny girl will be coming here to be with Princess Laurel before her departure."
Nero stared at the Delta intently before nodding, because what else could he do? He couldn’t ask why the officials were returning when the Princess was supposed to leave.
As Sigma continued inside, he sighted Prince Sorren talking with the King again. He stopped and watched.
King Asher sighed for the nth time with folded arms, but he actually listened to the threats clothed in ’words of wisdom’ that the Prince was telling him.
He caught the low whiff of blood and snapped his head to Sigma immediately. "Are you bleeding?"
Sorren stopped speaking and turned to him, he didn’t notice any blood on him but he caught the scent of blood. "It’s not yours. Did Bebe kill herself before you came?"
Sigma shook his head and made a short bow to the King as he’s seeing him for the first time that morning. "I met a lycan that wanted to meet you and Princess’ Laurel."
Sorren raised a brow. A lycan that’d like to meet them?
He turned to the King. "Well, you’ve been convinced on what to do. Before the people of High Moon figure out what’s happening, it’s best you handle this."
Sigma raised his hand to speak. "About the Lunaria hunting lycans thing, the people may already be involved."
King Asher’s head turned to him ever so slowly. "What makes you think so?" Was that another threat?
Sigma looked down, as he realized he had pummeled a citizen of High Moon Kingdom to the wall. He confessed his actions and explained how he got attacked.
Asher’s first thought was finding those two lycan hunters and making them experiments but he couldn’t do so as Nero might not know where to search.
"Then I met this guy, Zeno. He said he’s popular but I haven’t heard of him before." Sigma shook his head. "He said he’s connected to Lunaria and High Moon—"
The Delta realized that since the strange Zeno told him not to tell anyone, it might be sensitive information. Not one he should say in front of this freaky King.
Sorren was stunned by Sigma’s words about Zeno and while he knew Zeno was connected to Lunaria, he expected the King to show more surprise at this.
