Her Vengeful Lycan Alpha -
Chapter 329: HomeSick
Chapter 329: HomeSick
Chapter Three Hundred-Twenty-Nine – Homesick
(High Moon Kingdom – At a Lodge)
It’s been more than a week since Bebe got subjected to be the glorious princess of the small courtyard they stayed at, doing nothing and feeling homesick.
She wanted to go home and stop the training sessions she had with Zeldris because they chipped away her confidence as she’s still Lead Warrior ranked.
More than anything, she knew that Zeldris took out his helplessness to help the Princess on her.
While she was happy to help, she didn’t see herself getting better so didn’t think there’s any need for it.
Thales relied on magic so he couldn’t be a worthy spar for her even if she asked him and he agreed.
She strolled to the yard with slumped shoulders and stared at the Lycans passing from the window made at the fence of the yard.
The courtyard had been different from the ones she stayed at the first time and slightly smaller. She stood there, looking at the sun rise slowly. "Another boring day?"
At that moment, there was a bang on the gate and she jolted, she instinctively ran inside but stopped herself.
"I am a Green Valleys’ warrior and next in line to be an Alpha. There’s nothing that I should be scared of. The lycans here are all warrior ranked."
As she said this, she marched to the gate with swelled hands readying to take out her frustration on whatever wanted to cause her harm, as Zeldris had been doing.
Her hands went down when she caught his scent and opened the gate to face him. "Really? It’s only you."
Sigma also had a disappointed expression. "I had hoped to meet the knight first. You know, start the morning with a little sensibility." He strolled into the courtyard.
Bebe clenched her fists. She might still use him to practice if he kept up with that tone. She looked around and noticed nothing else that’s familiar.
Which meant that Prince Sorren didn’t follow Sigma? She folded her arms and followed Sigma into the courtyard. "Why are you here? Who sent you?"
"Prince Sorren wants you and the Knight to know that you’d be returning by tomorrow." Sigma looked around for the knight. "And you will stay with Prince Sorren today."
Excitement washed over Bebe and she nodded frantically even if Sigma wasn’t looking. She would meet the Princess and be able to sneak in more hits on Nero.
"Zeldris will stay here alone?" she realized and asked, she didn’t think that’d be healthy for him as he already took it too hard already.
"Of course not." Zeldris rolled out from under the chair. Bebe jumped and went back, glaring at him.
He had a sword tied to his chest and black circles were around his eyes. "I’d leave to the palace as well."
Sigma sighed. It wasn’t like a party happened at the palace so there’s really no need to be hurdled there. He looked around the courtyard. "It’s expensive, hmm?"
Bebe shrugged. "We haven’t run out of money yet." Sigma nodded and bent down to Zeldris that had been staring at the ceiling.
With how spent the knight looked, Sigma could guess he had been distraught since the Princess he was to protect got kidnapped by a King that killed her kind.
Sigma knew he’d feel useless and wasted if anything separated him from Prince Sorren when he had a job to keep him safe.
"You will come then. I’d say you came with me, fair?" he held out a hand for Zeldris and the Knight lifted himself off the ground, while forcing a smile.
Bebe frowned watching Sigma actually be considerate of someone while treating her like the shit on the way, not that she wanted a special treatment from him but he was surely biased with it.
They packed but Sigma left them first to talk with the owner of the courtyard. He was directed to a forest path and followed it without thinking.
His eyes moved about as he searched for the elderly man with a full beard that’d speak to him. He kept track of where he passed till he reached a lake.
"Does this property belong to one person?" he spun around, looking at the serene environment. It didn’t look like a privately owned place anymore.
Did the old man get lost here? Or there wasn’t any old man here? A shrill cry from few trees away made him run towards the sound.
His brain filtered that it came from an animal but he ran towards it anyway. There might be an old man here trying to fight off a hungry wolf.
He slowed down when he reached a clearing and found wolves dead on the ground with someone groaning in pain.
"For the... the last time..." he heard the person struggle to say. "I am from... Lunaria, dammit. And what... the hell do you... need lycans for?" Sigma saw it was a tall man crouched by a tree, holding his injured stomach.
He cornered and saw three young boys holding weird instruments and pointing it at the injured man. "You are a lycan and all of you will be used!"
Used? It set something off in Sigma when he remembered that Lunaria had a problem with High Moon Kingdom that endangered lycans.
"Leave him alone!" he sped to them with great speed that they couldn’t react to, slammed all three of them with his buff body, and crashed them to a tree. They passed out.
One of the weird instruments touched his side and he felt a flow of seemingly water stir towards that part of his body. He moved away quickly, proud that he didn’t kill anyone.
"Are you okay?" he stooped to the man. He froze when he saw the man’s eyes red and he stepped back, thinking he was in his Alpha’s mode, but he didn’t sense any threat.
"I’m fine. Thanks." The man sighed. "I should stop falling asleep in weird places. And who the hell are these youngsters that doesn’t know Zeno?"
Sigma shrugged. "I don’t know Zeno. Are you Zeno?"
Zeno frowned at him, while struggling to stand up. "Well, I’m quite popular in Lunaria, that’s what I mean but don’t tell anyone that, okay—"
"No." Sigma stepped back. "I’d tell someone. You are a lycan but friends with Lunaria that wants to hurt Lycans, why!" he raised his voice.
Zeno’s frown deepened. What does this young boy know?
