Chapter 287: Coming Too!

Chapter Two Hundred-Eighty-Seven – Coming Too!

"So can you help the girl?"

Laurel turned to Thales, she noticed his smile fall and wondered if his response will be in the negative.

Thales looked up. "It’s like hypnosis magic and honestly, I don’t develop most of my magic skills. I just accumulate."

He noticed the Princess’ bored look on him and he chuckled nervously.

Indeed, if many knew that he was only a Grand Witch because he had variety of magic skills and not because they were powerful, then they could consider him boring.

But the catch was that he was talented enough to have a variety of magic skills when witches usually had only one they perfected and Grand Witches could only have five at best. That’s why he was talented!

Still, he understood the Princess wouldn’t get it. "Sorry, sorry, but to develop a magic skill takes months to years so it’s easier to just have a lot at your disposal."

The Princess shook her head, and walked towards the hall. A lot of magic skills that he didn’t have control of?

He might be called a Young Genius because he knew a lot of magic skills but when it came down to it, he didn’t really know how to use them to fill potential.

That flaw made him relatable. She smiled, nudging his forearm. "Well, then, go tell the Alpha that you work for me. We’d leave by tomorrow. Good enough for you?"

Thales nodded and quickly left the hall. His major purpose of joining her was to speak of her ancestry and see if he’d be able to unlock it while at High Moon.

That Alpha wouldn’t have access to her during this time so he could make use of it. Also, he needed to speak to someone about the weird flow in that Sigma.

Laurel watched him leave, before sighing. Things were moving fast but it’s for the best. The sooner she knew what that King wanted with her, the better.

"Princess Laurel."

Laurel paused, and smiled as she turned. "Bebe, are you feeling better now?" she noticed her frown. "What now?"

"You are going to High Moon Kingdom? You didn’t tell me! I want to come with you too." Bebe grabbed her arm and held it firmly.

Laurel stared at the grip and noted that it was strong, Bebe must be getting stronger. She easily brushed it aside "Do you listen to yourself?"

Wasn’t that the place that marred her life?

"I know what you mean but I feel I’d be able to get over my trauma by revisiting and meeting that King in a new light. I really—"

"No!" Laurel cut her short. Seriously, what’s this girl thinking? "You also have to undergo treatment with Alice."

"Alice said she can’t help." Bebe said with a low tone, slightly pouting on being shouted at.

Laurel stepped back, before balling her fists. After all the big talk that witch made, she couldn’t help? Laurel really wanted to wring the unnecessary pride out of her body.

"And she left without coming to see me." Laurel scoffed, entering the hall. Bebe followed.

The Princess’ didn’t understand why going to the place of one’s humiliation will serve as a turning point or path to getting one’s confidence back.

After her father slapped her in the grand hall for spilling a drink on a guest she searched, she always avoided the grand hall as it reminded her of humiliation.

It took years to recover. Laurel glanced at Bebe, maybe the girl was mentally stronger than her. "You know it will be dangerous, even for me?"

Bebe nodded firmly. "That’s why I’m coming. I’d get my pride back, and I’d make my consciousness stronger so I’d not be used again... and get stronger!" She smirked.

Laurel sighed. That’s the part that interested her, wasn’t it? They were bound to face small fries that’d serve as training and Laurel looked forward to it.

"You’re coming then." The Princess declared. She couldn’t deny the girl a chance of growth.

Bebe yelped and hugged her. Laurel smiled a bit. It’s not like the visit was fancy, only to see a deranged King who’d sort for their life if they didn’t give him what he wants.

She added. "Tell the Beta to write an officials note to the Alpha; Zeldris, you, the Beta and the Grand Witch Thales, will be joining me to High Moon Kingdom."

Bebe held her cheeks in excitement. That sounded like a really good team and she wondered if they were going to destroy a pack.

The Grand Witch coming along bothered her because witches weren’t allowed in High Moon and the King might not like him, but he hoped it’d end well.

Then she realized. "I’m the weakest in the team."

Laurel chuckled. "You and I dear."

Bebe shook her head. "You’d break Delta rank soon but I can’t even feel it yet." She looked at her palm. "I need more training, more. Should we train, Princess?"

The Princess pushed her outside, without giving a word of reply. The purpose of the visit wasn’t only training but destroying the drugs that will affect werewolves kind.

She closed the door and dusted her hands.

On reaching her room, she saw the twins seating on the bed, as if they’ve been waiting for her.

Their eyes lit up on seeing her and she sat besides them. Did something else happen? "I thought you are asleep."

Marino stood on the bed and touched her forehead. "Miss Casi said Alpha called you." He looked into her eyes. "Don’t cry, hmm?" he wiped her cheeks.

Laurel felt confused. She glanced at Mira who had a frown, she usually had one these days.

She knew the little kids will have trust issues for a while, but she was keen on diffusing it as well as she could.

"I didn’t cry, Marino. Alpha can’t make me cry. Don’t worry." She dropped him on the bed and laid him down with her. "Come, Mira." She opened her arms.

The girl crawled on the bed towards her and laid her head on her arm. A satisfied grin spread on Laurel’s face.

She’d definitely miss this warmth during the cold three days she’d have to spend at High Moon Kingdom.
