Chapter 282: Heal Him
Chapter Two Hundred-Eighty-Two – Heal Him
Thales slapped the door opened and everyone froze. Sigma being choked in a hug by Sorren, Sorren choking, and Stefan raising Sigma’s shirt to inspect his wounds.
"The young man has inner bleeding." Thales frowned a bit on noticing the area that had poor health. He could tell from one look. "Can I heal him?"
Sorren immediately pushed Sigma to him. "Can you? Without making him drink any disgusting drug?"
Thales smiled, nodding. Magic shouldn’t be used on a young man like this with an odd flow of magic residue in his body.
If it should be used, it should be done carefully not to affect other parts of his body. Where did this young man come from?
Thales placed a hand under Sigma’s stomach. He had a healing magic that he barely improved so it couldn’t do much to help the inner bleeding before it’d worsen.
But it helped improve the young man’s healing.
Sigma felt a small tingling in his stomach as a white glow emanated from the man’s arm, he didn’t know why he didn’t move away after seeing that.
Didn’t that show that the man used magic? But the Alpha and Prince Sorren were in the room and weren’t being alert so he calmed down.
"Thank you." He placed his shirt down and took a step back, only to be found in another chokehold hug by Prince Sorren that threatened to take his breath away.
Thales stared at the two with a smile, the Prince must be close to the young boy and since the two of them had a flow in the body, could that’ve been the attraction?
Thales knew he couldn’t just ask them about their parents or if one had been a witch, they didn’t act like they knew so it’d be odd to suddenly speak of it.
"You should try not to get hit by magic attacks. Your body can’t stand it and you’ve been down for a while, right?"
Sigma looked down, feeling ashamed that a Delta like him had to be on the bed for that long over an injury that usually took few days. "I don’t know why it took long."
Thales couldn’t say why but he emphasized again. "Just don’t get hit by magic attacks because your—"
"He didn’t willing get hit, you know." Stefan interjected. "He was attacked so it’s not easy to tell him not to get hit."
Thales understood where he came from but his point remained, pure magic attacks should be avoided directly, but he could use a shield to protect himself.
"Sigma, right? Don’t let magic attacks touch you. Too much and your healing wouldn’t be able to keep up. If you don’t mind, I’d check on you later today."
Stefan frowned on being ignored, and he found the witch’s sudden concern suspicious. He watched Sigma and Sorren, and they didn’t seem alert.
His younger brother usually suspected everybody but now that a witch of unknown origin and motive came to him, he didn’t suspect anything?
Stefan wanted to believe that they’re friends but the formal way Thales spoke to Sorren made him feel that they might not be so close after all.
And when did the friendship blossom during the Lycan Packs Meeting that Sorren visited for the first time?
The questions kept on increasing as he thought of them so Stefan headed for the door. It was enough interactions with witches for a lifetime.
"Sigma, stay till you feel better." Stefan turned to Thales. "Please heal him if you sense more inner bleedings."
He was sure that Sorren wouldn’t refute with that, and deep down, he felt guilty for wanting Sigma to stay just to protect Sorren if Thales do attack.
On the plus side, if no attack happened then Sigma will be away from officials duties for a while and get treatment directly from a witch.
Thales was stunned that the Alpha asked for his help, he nodded. "I’d do my best." A sigh left him.
Why did the Alpha act reasonable now and destroyed all his ill feelings towards him? He acted different from King Asher because Asher never cared for his workers.
Stefan left the building. With Sigma there, if Thales truly had bad intentions, he’d hesitate before trying them.
Outside, he saw the blond Elder waiting while throwing stones at a fruit from a tree in Sorren’s farm. Stefan stared at the tree for a while, wondering when it grew that big.
He snapped from his thoughts when the stone hit a branch and injured it. He turned to the blond Elder who looked pleased instead of the opposite reaction.
"Sorren wouldn’t spare you." Stefan said as he strolled towards the happy lycan eating the fruit.
"I look forward to it." The Elder shrugged.
The Alpha brushed it off. He glanced at the Elder who followed him as he walked to the exit. "Do you need something else? Or you want to ask about the guest?"
The blond Elder sighed, throwing the half eaten fruit away as if it suddenly became distasteful. "A witch, isn’t it?"
Stefan gave no reply since the Elder obviously knew what’s going on. "Sorren knows what he’s doing."
He hoped.
"Alpha, do you know if the late Luna, Sorren’s mother, had any relationship with a witch before?" the Elder asked.
Stefan’s steps halted. "What brought about this?"
"I met a young boy recently who I immediately recognized as the child of the witch the late Luna Queen had met.
I assumed he’s the one who came today since he asked about Prince Sorren last time, but then I heard this one came from High Moon Kingdom, which is even stranger."
Stefan eyes remained on the ground. The child of a witch had asked after Sorren, one that’s acquaintance with his late mother?
From Stefan’s memory, Sorren’s mother didn’t have much friends that she visited and he didn’t know much about her family apart her usual brag that her father was an Alpha.
Stefan could count all the times she ever left the palace with Sorren on one hand and it was either to Jappongi or a ceremony of a pack allied with Black Claws Kingdom.
"I don’t know of any witch affiliated with Sorren’s late mother? Where did you see this child of a witch?" Stefan’s hands balled to a fist.
Why did all these witches come after his young brother this year? He snapped his head to the Elder when no reply came from him.
The Elder stammered, taking a step back on seeing the Alpha’s angry expression. "The child was with Prince Sorren though and... um... the Green Valleys’ Princess."
Stefan’s expression flattened. Laurel again?
