Chapter Two Hundred-Twenty – Noisy

"So, do you see me?"

She asked when his eyes moved. She realized where it moved to and furrowed her brows. "Do you see me, Zeldris?"

Was it a coincidence that his eyes went to her lips? She leaned closer, expecting his eyes to move away but they remained, slightly softening.

"Zeldris..."

His eyes went up, meeting her own.

She tilted her head. They were locking eyes now. Didn’t that mean he could see her now?

"DO YOU SEE ME!"

Zeldris suddenly snapped his head away, his cheeks and ears reddening. "I-I see you..." he trailed off, looking at nothing, while biting his lower lips.

Laurel leaned back, wondering if her voice had been too loud. "You can really see me?" That wasn’t the excitement she expected from him if true.

Zeldris nodded, exhaling softly. "I see you, Princess Laurel." Then he realized. "I can actually see you!"

He left the ground and looked down at the Princess. "You have big green eyes and... your lips... I mean, your hair is... nice. You’re really pretty and... wait!" he ran outside.

"Has this place always been so big!!" he screamed.

Laurel had a straight expression, before a smile came to her face. He could see colors, finally. And she had told him to describe what she was wearing not her looks.

"Oh well, I feel a celebration with noise is about to start." She walked out of his room to find him at the other end, touching and looking at every plant while screaming.

He was really a ten year old.

The maids ran out from their rooms while Valkyrie left hers with a chain.

She looked at Zeldris and flexed her chain, her eyes went to the Princess and she ran towards her. "Is it true Zeldris ran mad because of the magical item on his head?"

Laurel looked at the chains in her hands suspiciously. "Don’t tell me you’d have used it on him?"

Valkyrie looked down at the object, then hid it behind her. "If necessary. He’s okay, now? And his eyes..." she heard something he shouted and her jaw dropped. "He can see?!"

Laurel placed an arm on her shoulders. "He could after nearly running mad and bleeding from his eyes. I don’t know what the magical item was doing but it’s good."

Valkyrie turned from Zeldris to her. "Beta Ferdinand said something like that to me once. He said magical items, when they run out of magic can go berserk."

Laurel nodded. Could it be what happened then? The item had withered away so it probably ran out of magic.

"But what if it fixed his eyes a lot time ago?" Laurel shrugged. "Either ways, it worked and he’s happy."

Escanor walked into the Lead Warrior’s quarters at that point, he noticed everyone staring at Zeldris running around and sniffing flowers, even the Princess.

His lips curled up in disapproval. Since when did that wolf become a figure of entertainment?

He walked towards the Lead Warrior to ask what’s going on, but in unsuspecting speed, Zeldris appeared in front of him, holding his face.

He stared at him almost passionately.

"Wha— What beauty! Are you real, my boy!"

Escanor slapped his hand away. He remembered Zeldris’s odd request and unconsciously covered his face. Still the compliment made his cheek redden slightly.

"What’s wrong with him today?"

"The same thing that’s been wrong with him." Laurel chuckled. "Except this time, he deserves to be noisy."

Escanor turned to Zeldris that now held the hand of a blonde maid who was blushing furiously.

He was spreading his perverseness, wasn’t he? It’s funny because he always called him the perverted one.

He went towards a maid who explained that the knight had regained his sight. Escanor was stunned because he hadn’t been sure that one was blind since he could see.

So now he could see, he’d make it everyone’s problem?

Zeldris returned to him as he stared at him. Escanor took a step back even if his hand was held to Zeldris’s heart.

"Let’s conquer the ladies together!"

Escanor gaped at the fool. Why’d he want to do that?

Laurel shook her head, going to her room. "If that can be useful to your duties, then go ahead."

Zeldris dropped Escanor’s hand. "Then, it’s left with me. My duty is as the Princess’ Knight. So I shall conquer."

Escanor frowned. "Huh?"

Valkyrie jumped in front of them, smiling. "Conquer? Do you mean conquer the Princess’ heart, my boy?"

Escanor frown deepened. Why did she sound amused? And what’s with the ’my boy’? "Princess, wouldn’t you scold them—" but he saw she was long gone.

She didn’t care? His fists tightened a bit. He did care.

"S-So what if you regained your sight. Sight... is something given to everyone on the first day—"

"Now, my eyes..." Zeldris appeared in front of him again, keeping their foreheads close that Escanor could feel his breath fan his skin. "... are prettier than yours!"

Escanor pushed him away, feeling very embarrassed.

He turned to the Lead Warrior. "I-I’m out of here. He’s just harassing everybody. In words and actions."

Valkyrie showed him the chain in her hands. "He’s active because he’s excited. Should I use it?"

The Delta narrowed his eyes on the object, before slowly nodding. "And on his bed, please, so he can pass the night there." He whispered.

Valkyrie saluted, and went to a group of maids that were frowning as Zeldris hadn’t come to fawn over them.

Valkyrie guessed it was because they had darker hair tone which he could see while being color blind.

She showed them the chain and pointed at Zeldris, their eyes lit up in mischief and vengeance.

"But, we’d get in trouble..." one of them stepped back.

Valkyrie waved her hand in dismissal. "I’m sure the Princess wouldn’t mind. She’d be grateful even. Also, it’s the Delta’s order."

Hearing the last part the maids held unto the chain with Valkyrie and they pounced on the unsuspecting Zeldris.

Escanor hurriedly closed the door.

He didn’t want the Princess to worry that Zeldris was being killed, or raped... as for some reasons, he was making painful moaning sounds.
