Her Vengeful Lycan Alpha -
Chapter 205: Teach Me!
Chapter 205: Teach Me!
Chapter Two Hundred-Five – Teach Me!
Cade understood why he detested this Princess. One was that her father destroyed his home.
Two was that the Alpha left her alive.
Three was that Prince Sorren didn’t hate her or he could easily make the Alpha kill her.
Four was that she was a daring bitch that even dared him back at the prison when she was lesser than dirt.
Five, and the most annoying, was that she knew had to twist words to her benefit. It must be a skill she picked up since she was a weak bitch, but it had taken her so far.
For someone like him who uses his fists to do the talking, he didn’t appreciate her type.
He relaxed and decided to try playing her game on her. "So the Alpha doesn’t want to train your warriors and you’re offended, right?"
Laurel raised a brow. "Shouldn’t I be?"
"Well then," Cade folded his arms. "Isn’t your attitude towards this request the same? You don’t want to help your Alpha either."
Laurel saw where he was going to, but she already had a counter for that. She left her seat. "If I don’t help the Alpha get an alliance, then I’m being disloyal?"
Cade nodded, hoping he was making headway.
Laurel looked down, feigning sadness. "I didn’t know it was like that. This really saddens me."
The Beta wasn’t sure what she was doing but he nodded again. "It will be really sad if you are disloyal after everything the Alpha waved off for you."
His words nearly made Laurel drop her act but she held on. "Hmm, right. So the Alpha needs an alliance with Damancas? He doesn’t have one yet, right?"
"Yes." Cade gave the ’obviously’ look.
Laurel nodded. "Then, I guess this means," Laurel raised a finger, "That the Alpha has made Green Valleys totally independent, right?"
Cade’s folded hands released. How on earth did she get go that conclusion? "No, why will you think that—"
"Green Valleys has an alliance with Damancas." Laurel broke to him. "So in the first place, no one from here can get another one for Black Claws."
Cade inhaled and slowly exhaled. He didn’t know.
"Why does the Alpha wants an alliance with Damancas when we have it? Doesn’t he see us as his pack? It will sadden me to know but if so, are we totally independent now?" Laurel bombarded Cade with questions.
The Beta turned away, with gritted teeth. He didn’t think that far ahead. "So what if we have two alliance? They are more than one packs."
Dylan shook his head, he could already see how the Princess will counter with that one. They are not supposed to be ’more than one pack’.
High Mountains was still Black Claws. And Green Valleys was taken over by the Alpha. That’s all it should be.
"Oh, so Green Valleys is a pack of it’s own? I didn’t know. That means this is a kingdom? Is Green Valleys the capital? Beta Cade, are you sure of what you’re saying?"
The Beta hurriedly walked out. He was done with the Princess. He’d find another way to save his sister.
Laurel returned to her seat, feeling proud. "Beta Cade."
He stopped, turning to her with a frown. "What?"
In a way, Laurel understood. If Cara goes to Damancas, she’d be in danger. No brother would want that.
Since he got to entertain her with his distressed expression, she’d give him a clue.
She never had a sibling but she understood the feeling of protecting one with the ones around her.
"Black Thorns is a werewolf community, right? Appoint a spokesperson from there to get the alliance. Under Black Thorns, a werewolf community, It’d be easier."
Dylan frowned. That was Prince Sorren’s plan but he didn’t add it in the letter, to frustrate the Beta.
Cade exhaled, seeing the sense in it. But why was the Princess helping him? "Th-Thank you."
Laurel nodded. "We are all one Kingdom, right?"
The Beta huffed before walking out.
Laurel snickered. She noticed Dylan looked displeased. "You don’t like Cara, right?"
He didn’t hesitate to nod.
"Well, the Beta owes me one now. I’d see if there’s a way to punish her later." Laurel smiled.
Dylan’s cheeks heated up and he nodded again, before running behind the Beta.
Laurel exhaled. She missed that one.
If a person from Green Valleys had been sent to Damancas to get an alliance for a lycan pack, it’d look like Green Valleys support Black Claws.
And that shouldn’t happen or Damancas would be displeased with her pack. She still needed their protection.
She mind linked to Lisa to open the doors since they were going out.
She was ready to resort to violence if Cade had come to threaten her into something, but instead she got to his vulnerable side.
And how could Sorren be so cruel? Or did he test the Beta to think out a way to save his sister? Laurel snickered. That was like that Prince anyway.
Valkyrie and Zeldris walked out from a door at the hall. Laurel tilted her head. "What were you guys doing—"
"Teach me!" Zeldris fell to the ground.
Valkyrie chuckled softly. "I’m surprised you could stand your ground in front of the Beta like that. Is that how you debated our pack back?"
Laurel’s ears reddened because of the praise. How long had they been there? She brushed her nose. "It’s nothing really—"
"I’d be your humble student, Princess! Teach me!" Zeldris yelled again, making Laurel frown. "The Alpha was only pissed at me when I spoke—"
"Maybe because you kept shoving your new name on his face." Valkyrie interjected.
Zeldris left the ground, posing confidently. "Well, it’s a worthy name. And what’s that Alpha’s name?"
"I don’t care but I’m sure he didn’t want to be reminded of yours every five seconds." Valkyrie still kept a polite tone.
Laurel quietly left the hall as they argued. Darren will pay her a visit soon enough and she needed to arrange some tea to that effect. She had been practicing.
The new Delta should be someone calm, for her sake.
She already had an indifferent Beta, and while he wasn’t very active yet, he caused no trouble.
Actually, he was knowledgeable in terms of providing information about magic and other places.
The Lead Warrior was calm and calculative but spoke her thoughts at times, even when she should ignore.
Her bodyguard was energetic and it wasn’t bad, except when it became bad.
All in all, her life changed for better within the year and she looked forward to more changes. Positive changes.
