Her Vengeful Lycan Alpha -

Chapter 165: Massacre
Chapter Hundred-Sixty-Five – Massacre
(The Kingdom of Damancas)
A table was brought before the King and Queen and Darren dropped the brief case on it. He opened it, revealing the blood stained unconscious wolf.
"Your highnesses, there’s something alarming I have to report. Few days ago, I was visited by a lycan at my pack, and he came with two very disturbing—"
"Your pack?" Prince Kiad interrupted, with raised brows.
Darren made an ’hmm’ sound.
He’d have to start from there.
In a brief summary, he narrated how he got back Silent River Pack with the land deed, and how he was its leader.
He barely spared any detail, leaving the King, Queen and Prince Kiad wide eyed, all staring at him in amazement. "The newest detail is the drug this wolf is infected with."
The Queen wiped a tear that left her eyes. Her little nephew had truly been through a lot. He didn’t come for any lycan hunting mission so she worried so much.
She had hoped that he was at some werewolf village, married and happy with kids but it seemed he’d been rebuilding and having battle of wits with lycans.
"Honestly, like that princess, I really don’t know how you children from Green Valleys’ Kingdom are built. I hope you take breaks?" The Queen asked. "Being leader isn’t easy."
Prince Kiad looked down, on hearing the statement. His earlier statements must have sounded so stupid to Darren. He felt so ashamed.
Darren bowed. "Once again, thank you for your concern, your highness. I’d do my best to protect the members of Silent River and High Mountains with me."
The King nodded at his declaration. "You’d do well and be better than your father. Let nothing stop you. Also, I’d send an alliance to you. Those Lycans shouldn’t dare bully you."
Darren hid his smile. He had also hoped to achieve that, the alliance. Before, Green Valleys’ Kingdom had the alliance of Damancas.
As packs under Green Valleys’ kingdom, the alliance extended to Silent River and High Mountains.
But things were different now and even if Darren knew it’d be easy asking for it, he’d feel better if it was given to him. He just achieved that. "Thank you, your highness."
The King nodded. "Now, this lycan that visited," the King became serious, "and you speak of a drug too?"
Darren looked outside. "I’d like to demonstrate. The drug greatly magnified the bloodlust in wolves."
"Natural wolves?" Prince Kiad asked.
"Werewolves and Lycans too." Darren replied. "A lycan that bothered me, came with it. I don’t know why, but it’s from the King of High Moon’s experiments."
The King’s fists clenched, while trembling slightly. His wife glanced at him and frowned.
Damancas could handle Lycans, they had witches too, but when it got to experiments, the mental effect was too great, even on the scientists.
That’s why Lunaria, a werewolf Kingdom which handled Lycans and were versed in science, are considered more fearsome than Damancas, to Lycans.
And recently, Lunaria paid some witches to come to their kingdom and teach the bred lycans’ magic.
The King mentioned it immediately. "I don’t know what they’re up to, but that’s what they did."
Darren nodded. That Slime had mentioned it.
"Do you want to see the effect of the drug?"
The King and Queen left their seats immediately. "Arcadia is around if anything happens. Do you want us to round up wild boars for the test? How many would you need?"
Darren closed his eyed momentarily. He wouldn’t feel guilty for killing wild boars, those ones were just pure evil. "At least five, if you don’t mind."
The Queen smirked, replying. "Not a problem." She stared into space, mind linking the closest guard.
Two minutes later, all four of them went out a door, Darren carried the brief case with him.
They reached an open hall with rough tiles and a dull wall design. It looked like an arena and while they were no blood stains, the place reeked of blood.
"It’s a guilty pleasure, dog fights." The king chuckled.
Darren didn’t know how to feel about it and only nodded. The cages opened, letting in two raging wild beasts.
Darren took out the smelling salts in his pocket, he broke it on the wolf’s snout and before it reacted, he threw it down the arena.
A sigh left him when the wolf landed on its paws being fully alert. It snarled at the threats it saw.
"You might die here now." Darren whispered. "I’m sorry."
The wolf charged at the boars, ripping their skin with its claws. Its speed had increased, Darren noticed. Perhaps the more it got used to the drug, the more it evolved.
The boars made weird noises as more trooped in, charging at the wolf in their midst.
They surrounded it but the wolf jumped above them, slashing and swiping and making marks on their faces.
The King clapped gleefully. "This is actually more fun than a dog fight. Wolf fight." He glanced at his wife, who frowned. "I’m joking, I’m joking."
Prince Kiad hummed watching the display. "Naturally a wolf might not be as strong as a wild boar, but this one is different. Like the strength of five wolves."
It was a near accurate evaluation, Darren thought.
And if by any chance, the drug wasn’t the most potent of all the ones that lycan King have made, then there’s even more trouble.
The wolf began to struggle when the seventh boar charged at it, being aware of the dangers and focusing on attack.
Darren looked away when the wolf’s head was smashed under the boar’s foot. Other boars surrounded and stomped it to pieces.
That wasn’t a peaceful death Darren had hoped for.
He looked at the King and Queen. "You see the gravity of this? If it were a werewolf or lycan infected, it wouldn’t be that simple. This thing is really terrible, even to that King."
The King had lost the humor in the fight when the wolf kept on killing each boar that came its way.
"Massacre, huh? That teenage King is thinking of a massacre. What goes on through his head?"
Darren exhaled, looking to the heavens.
