Chapter 135: Troublesome Trio
Chapter Hundred-Thirty-Five – Troublesome Trio
Green Valleys/Black Claws
Tears streamed down Bebe’s eyes as some werewolves carried Sorren’s properties into a carriage. He was finally moving into High Mountains and without her.
"Master Sorren..." she fell on the door when he tried passing. He held her head, moving her away.
"Cade, do I really have to move though? I could just visit."
The Beta dumped the bag in the carriage, and turned to Sorren. "Half of your belongings are already there."
"I’d bring it back!!" Sigma and Bebe said in unison.
Sorren shrugged, a smirk playing on his lips.
Cade glared at Sigma. "And you, as official Delta, you’d be getting really busy soon. So stop acting like a sixteen year old. And Sorren, you are staying there."
Bebe scowled. Sigma was sixteen? That’s a year older than her? She could swear that he’s mid twenties already.
If she’d be staying in Sorren’s quarters, would it be with his son? She’s dead then. "Eh, he’s the official Delta?" That part just processed in her head.
Sorren exhaled. "Sigma has his own duties so I’d fulfill mine. Don’t worry, Sigma, you can visit anytime—"
"That’d be when he’s less busy." Cade interrupted. "And I’d make sure he is not less busy."
Sorren climbed into the carriage, while giving Cade the ’side eyes’. "I knew you were a demon but I didn’t know you could be this vicious."
Cade squeezed his face. Those words hurt him more than it should. "It’s for the good of both of you."
"Then, who stays here?" Bebe called their attention back.
Cade paused, looking at the surrounding. The quarters was an extra, meant for guests. Then he got the best idea.
"We’ll give it to the Lead Warrior." He said proudly. "I think Green Valleys have something like that, a place for the lead warrior."
Sorren frowned but said nothing. He had been thrown out of the place, so there was no reason to defend it.
"Huh! Why?" Sigma. "I really like this place, why should that stupid Baxter get to live here?"
Bebe kept her hands on her chest. "But Master Sorren didn’t like guards being here. Won’t a lead warrior bring his warriors to train here? Will he be my new master?"
Cade didn’t even know the circumstances that brought the girl to serve Sorren, so he nonchalantly said. "Yes. You have a new master from now onwards—"
"Bebe, go back to your princess." Sorren said, as the carriage began to move. "Baxter won’t be a nice Master."
Cade looked the girl over. Was Sorren giving his servant to Laurel or she already belonged to the princess?
Bebe’s shoulders fell, but she nodded. "Fine. But next time you meet me, I’d be Alpha ranked!"
Sigma stared at her like she was stupid, he thought she was. A chuckle came as Sorren’s reply. Afterwards, Bebe ran inside the quarters, dramatically. "I’m running away!!"
Cade shook his head, rubbing his temples. These trio had to be the most troublesome he ever got to witness. "Sigma, follow me. You’d be busy soon."
Meanwhile the carriage with Sorren sped up on Sorren’s command. They crossed the Green Valleys walls and border and headed for High Mountains.
It’s been three days’ of work, clearing and cleaning, before High Mountains became suitable for living.
The people divided into two, like before, having Black Claws filled with Lycans, and Black Thorns, the surviving werewolf packs conjoined.
Still the two packs basically stayed as one. The carriage stopped at the border of High Mountains. The Prince stepped down and looked up at the high gate.
From a distance, the gate looked big, but on closer look, it was more than twenty feet tall, fifteen horses wide.
Sorren kept his eyes at the top of the gate, while walking into it, he passed it and looked down, smiling. Someone ran to him. "Prince Sorren! Prince— you are alone?"
"Ah, Dylan." Sorren waved at the boy wearing a heavy armor, he looked forward, taking in the surroundings.
The mark of war hadn’t left the land but it’d make the people living in it happy knowing their Alpha conquered the place for them.
The surviving High Mountains’ people had gone to Green Valleys or Master Darren’s.
"A-Are you alone, y-your highness?" Dylan frowned slightly. "Sigma should be with—"
"He’s no longer a kid, you know." Sorren told him. "And he’s the official Delta now. He has work to do." He repeated what Cade usually say, even if he didn’t mean it.
Dylan gulped down saliva, closing his eyes. He knew the day would come when the Delta will be separated from Sorren.
He had hoped it won’t come so soon because he knew Sigma depended on Sorren a lot and barely thought for himself.
So contrary to the Prince’s belief, Sigma was still a kid.
"But you can return to Green Valleys and stay with him." Sorren added. "He might still need guidance. Also, Baxter will be sent to my quarters."
The hope that shone in Dylan’s eyes, on being asked to reunite with Sigma, died the moment he heard of Baxter. "The Baxtard is still here though."
Sorren chuckled. "He shouldn’t hear you calling him that though. And Baxtard will be summoned soon. Join him."
Dylan bowed. "Yes, sir!"
"Take care of Sigma for me, hmm?"
"Sure!" Dylan ran towards a tent.
Sorren exhaled, looking at the land again. It was nothing like Black Claws that had flowers everywhere.
’Black Claws’ wasn’t a befitting name for the Kingdom then, but it fit well now, with the claws of war that had been left on the land, black and almost dead.
But it was so much better than nothing.
He noticed a warrior coming to him and nodded before he got close. The warrior bowed and left. It was who took the Prince’s belongings to his new quarters.
"Now, I’m really stuck here." Sorren leaned on a wall, brushing his hair with his fingers.
If he goes down to interact with the people, it’d take ages because he hadn’t seen them for more than a year, and they’d be curious to know how he’s been.
He tried to stand. "I guess I should waste time doing that—"
"Hey! Mama’s boy!"
Sorren froze, dropping the hand running through his hair. Only one idiot would call him that.
"Well, hello, Baxtard." He turned to him.
