Her Vengeful Lycan Alpha -
Chapter 133: Lesser Animals
Chapter 133: Lesser Animals
Chapter Hundred-Thirty-Three – Animals
This will be their execution.
The other Fang members could sense it. The bloodlust radiating from Lorena’s red eyes. The subtle but sure excitement to kill radiating from Levine’s.
These were bred lycans – Lunaria’s secret killers.
It was becoming clear to the Fang members that whoever sent them this job had set them up. Or else, why will they specify that the Lycans were lower ranked?
If they were, then how powerful were the other highly ranked bred lycans? And how did their prey know that they were coming?
Still it wasn’t time to think, if they wasted even a minute thinking, it’d be their death. All the Fang members shared this thoughts as they nodded at each other.
In blinding speed, Lorena charged at the four huddled together. They dispersed and she followed one of them with a halberd, a weapon similar to hers.
"Support!" the leader told a blond, referring to the one being chased by the Lorena.
The blond ran after them and the leader and other five focused on Levine that hadn’t moved.
He was with no weapon so he might heavily rely on his magic. Still they wouldn’t be carefree and think he wouldn’t dare engage in close combat.
"Will you wait for me to bring my sword? I forgot it." Levine said, turning from them.
The leader snapped, with gritted teeth. "Do you mock us!" he took the sword from the injured member and flung it at Levine.
Levine turned back to him, catching the sword in time. "Ah, thank you. I could use this." He twirled it in his hand. "Good enough."
The leader cursed, he wanted to strike the lycan with his back turned, but ended up giving him a weapon.
Victoria watched them with hand clenched on her chest. She thought of going down to heal the one injured, but her legs were too scared to move.
So bred lycans had the blood of werewolves and witches. What exactly were they? Did they sacrifice their wolf to get the magic? Probably.
Then they basically had strength of Lycans, can increase ranks like werewolves, and had magic like witches?
That amounted to the most feared creatures that walked their earth. She remembered King Asher’s plan of wiping werewolves from the surface of the earth.
She didn’t support it, she was werewolf too after all but these ones, these ones will be his greatest resistance.
Levine moved, swinging the sword. He crashed it on the leader’s scythe, and tried pushing him down to his knees.
A sword dived to his leg but he lifted his hand, and blasted off the member’s head with the glow that came from his hand.
That was the first death. So sudden, like he squatted an ant. The leader pulled the sword in his hand and lifted it to the air, another member caught it and pointed at Levine.
"Stay away! I’d handle him!" the leader told the rest.
Levine licked his lower lips. "Do handle me. And now, I have no sword. Is it okay to fight like this?"
The leader ignored him, swinging his scythe at his head, Levin dodged, a playful smirk growing on his lips as he dodged more swings.
Another threw their knife as he was disoriented, or so they thought. He caught the sword easily, while holding the leader’s scythe with his bare hands.
Panic flashed in the leader’s hands and he pulled the scythe and jumped back, before the sword Levine caught could get stuck into him.
"Don’t throw anything!" he told the members. "Support for—" his words stuck in his throat.
His eyes had darted towards the two facing Lorena and met the chopping of head a member experienced. The first one was already dead, a slash on their neck.
"I’m not that gruesome." Levine said, calling the leader’s attention back to him. "Your death will be easy. I promise."
An amused laughter left Lorena but she frowned. "Not still satisfied! More!" her head snapped to the others, and her frown changed to a smile. "Brother! You left some!"
Levine smirked. "Of course, I know you like to play."
The leader gripped his scythe tightly, his eyes darkening. "How dare you..." How could they treat his members like they were animals lesser than dogs!
"Huh?" Lorena dragged her bloody axe as she marched towards them. "How dare you dance into Lunaria like you own the place? Where you drunk or something?"
Levine softly chuckled. "Not everyone’s like you who walk into others’ bathroom when drunk." His claws shot out. "So what now, Fang? Should we end this already?"
He sounded like he would give a chance to fall back? The leader raised his scythe. Even if they gave them a chance to fall back, he’d still stay for his pride’s sake.
He glanced at the three behind him. The youngest ones amongst them, even if only they somehow survive this, he will be happy wherever he’d be.
His scythe immediately blocked Lorena when she tried running to those three. From the corner of his eyes, he saw Levine, running to them too.
They wanted to break him by killing all his members, didn’t they? He swept the scythe over their heads but the two dodged simultaneously even without watching him.
Lorena halted, stopping again before swinging her axe, crashing unto the leaders scythe.
Even if he held her axe up, the leader could still feel the overwhelming difference in strength. Levine must have been joking with him.
He feinted a kick and Lorena moved back. He quickly swung his scythe over her face but she caught it on time, a smirk growing on her face.
"You don’t know how to use your weapon, huh?"
Then the leader saw it, the last piece to break his resolve and hold back his recklessness. The three members limp body on the ground with their heads blasted off.
The heat glowing from Levine’s hand went down. "You might want to play with him longer. I took care of the rest."
The leader gripped the scythe tightly, taking it back from Lorena who let it go. She pointed her axe to him. "Don’t die yet! You’re the last one so better entertain me!"
She still spoke like they were animals!
The leader’s claws came out and he held the scythe above his head, breathing heavily. He was all alone now. "Don’t worry. I won’t be holding back now."
