Chapter 115: Opposite Reaction

Chapter Hundred-Fifteen – Opposite Reaction

Sorren sighed for the nth time, making Sigma come in front of him. He kept walking even if his back was turned. "The meeting ended well, right?"

The Prince shrugged. "I just forgot that part."

"What part?"

Sorren bit his lower lip. "The part about the allies attacking when a heir dies. It actually happened with our Kingdom because they assumed my brother was killed."

Still he forgot that part. Perhaps because he was young when it happened but the allies of his father had attacked but met no one.

King Titus didn’t care to conquer the kingdom, only came to avenge his wife. It was the same allies that took the survivors in and raised Stefan for revenge.

Sigma returned to Sorren’s side. "Then the princess was kind to remind us, right?"

Did she remind them? Or threaten it? "You adapt fast. You call her Princess already?"

"You call her that." Sigma defended.

Just then, they reached Sorren’s quarters. Sigma tried opening the door but it opened by itself and a figure came charging at Sorren.

Reacting with his instincts, Sigma grabbed the form and tossed them to the ground, holding their head up. "Stay down! Who are you!"

"Ouch! Ouch! Master Sorren, save me!" It was poor Bebe.

Sorren stooped low, finding the situation interesting. "Why not break yourself from his hold? Play dirty if you must."

Sigma got confused. Did the Prince know the runt?

He tried releasing her but then felt his sides being tickled. He glared at her. His arms left her but dived down to her head, knocking her out.

Bebe staggered and hit the wall. Why did he punch her?

Sorren shook his head. "That’s disappointing. You see, Sigma here sometimes get the opposite reaction to things. Amusement turns to anger for him. And vice versa."

He placed his head on the annoyed Sigma. "Forgive her, okay? She’s my new... help around here."

"You don’t need her, I help you just fine." Sigma frowned. "She doesn’t look like she can do anything."

Bebe told her stinging face, she also tasted the salty taste of blood in her tongue. Her fists clenched. Did he really have to punch her?

Laurel had told her about Sorren’s adopted son and how much he relied on brute force but she assumed he’d only use it on her if she wronged him.

She only did what Sorren said she should do.

"Sigma, let it rest." Sorren said tiredly. It’s not like he wanted the girl there. That princess forced it on him.

Sigma folded his arms. "Well, tell her to—"

Sorren smirked. "Well, that just got interesting."

Sigma took a step back as Bebe threw a punch on his face, gathering all the pain he caused her along with the one Prince Asher caused while she was his captive.

No Lycan will ever hurt her again. She’d make sure of it.

She worried when her punch only made him step back once, she braced herself for his retaliation but it never came. She opened her eyes.

"Where did you find this thing? If she’s going to trouble me too, then I’d avoid your quarters." Sigma told Sorren, ignoring Bebe.

Bebe blinked, wondering if her show of strength just got ignored.

Sorren smirk widened. "Oh, you’ve grown bold enough to threaten me, Sigma. Interesting." He went inside. Sigma followed, wearing a pout.

Bebe stood there, before looking at the heavens, wondering what kind of people she stumbled on.

She remembered Sorren’s words that the boy sometimes got opposite reaction to things. Could her case be one of them? Then she’d have annoy him to make him happy?

"Weird. How’s Master Sorren living with such a wacko? Well, Master Sorren is sometimes wacko in the head." She kept muttering as she walked back inside.

Inside, she found some new boots on the couch. Then she heard the voice of the wacko. "Ohhhh! All for me? Um... actually I’m bigger than this one."

Bebe rushed to them and found that male suits and clothes were littered all over the clothes. Did Master Sorren by all of them for his son?

A streak of panic flashed in Sorren’s face. He looked from the cloth Sigma held to Sigma’s body. He fell on a couch. "Oh no. You’re really bigger than it."

"That’s a good thing, right? I’m growing up." Sigma said cheerfully, digging through the clothes.

Bebe felt jealous. So Master Sorren bothered getting all those for an annoying kid?

Her shoulders fell as she remembered her mother. Since she died, no one in her pack had given her anything new.

She realized something and a grin spread across her lips. "Master Sorren, it seems gifting is your love language, just like you bought me a cute bow."

Sorren scowled. What does a girl her age know about love languages? He just bought the first thing he saw.

Sigma turned to her. "I don’t think so. Prince Sorren gave Cade a gift and I don’t think he likes him much. He only gives things that are essential to survive."

Essential to survive? Bebe raised a brow. How did those flashy clothes and boots become essential to life? Or even the bow tie he gave her?

"I don’t know this Cade but I’m sure he’s someone important to Master, right?" she asked Sorren.

Sorren shrugged. "I did have him in mind the moment I saw the pink skirt. Pink looks really good on him but he never agrees."

"Eh?" Bebe stared at him. It was a pink skirt he gave this person? Shouldn’t it be a man?

Sigma nodded at his words. "So you had him in mind while getting him a gift? Maybe you do like Cade a bit. Okay, I’d be nice to Cade too!"

"No, no." Bebe tried to explain but the smile of Sorren’s face made her understand that he enjoyed how dense Sigma was. "So that’s why he keeps this wacko close."

Bebe mumbled. "He’s entertainment. Which means, if I make myself more interesting than him, I’d be Master Sorren’s new favorite."

She gleamed at Sigma wickedly. "I’d come for you, Sig."
