Chapter 130: The 13th Time’s the Charm
Zack looked at them both, up and down. "Do I even want to hear what happened? Stephen, I went through a lot of trouble for you to find the right one—did you do what I think you did last night?"
Clark cleared his throat. "Sir, I am just as much responsible for the little fiasco as Stephen is, but I didn’t know what happened would happen if we had unprotected sex. I know it’s not any excuse—he was supposed to have a pure blood, but now he carries my hybrid."
Zack and Ed couldn’t hold it any longer and busted out laughing. Zach was starting to laugh even harder when he was trying to say, "You didn’t know what was happening the 13th or 14th time you nutted? And Stephen was dick so good that you forgot basic rules of Genmen reproduction?"
"No, Zach, he was just that horny—he needed to get fucked. It’s the first time I ever heard of getting knocked up twice." Ed paused, still chuckling. "Hey, wait a minute—I did that to Tim and it was early enough that he dropped another egg and got double knocked."
Both men were laughing so hard they were crying. Clark and Stephen stood there, not believing that these two grown men were having such a hilarious time over their predicament.
"You two sit your asses down, damn," Zack managed between laughs. "As long as the baby is taken care of—that’s all that matters—that it is raised with love."
Clark looked up, then spoke. "You’re not mad at us? I did mess up a premium breeding that Stephen had. It’s not like you have a pure blood offspring that could produce more pure blood Genmen in the future."
Zack stopped laughing for just a minute. "As long as you treat him good and that baby’s loved, I don’t care what it is—Genman, human, hybrid—it doesn’t matter. As long as you two know what job’s done and what you two have to do for the future of this child, that’s all that matters."
Clark thanked Zack, then turned towards Ed. "Mr. Hawthorne, I need to have my rotation changed at the hospital and they’re going to gripe, but I may need your help, sir. Lex has spoken about an outreach clinic so that we can do rotations here at the ranch so that individuals that are practicing to be doctors can learn about Genmen and hybrid physiology, illnesses—or the lack thereof—illnesses, healing properties, and of course I’d help out the obstetrics area."
"If you two would like to take a tour, I have the first of several new delivery stations to make Genmen birthing even easier than what it has been," Ed offered. "I tried the first one out on Martin and he delivered twins within seven and a half minutes with minimal discomfort and no stress on his body. If we can get this going, we can equip every one of the delivery areas over here with these chairs and we can even place them in the clinics in the city at the hospital for when a Genman is in town when he’s suddenly in labor and must deliver. It will not cost hardly anything—I hope to get the patented designs and they can actually be built here at the ranches."
He continued, "We can also place one in every Genmen ranch so that they will no longer suffer needlessly trying to give birth in a chair or a platform that was designed for humans. We all know that there are differences in human and Genmen physiology and the way we give birth."
Zack put his hand on his chin and rubbed it. "So what do you think of it, Ed? Shall we go to the clinic and look over this new chair that this fine young man has gifted us with?"
"Sounds good to me, Zach. You never know when the chair may see action before long."
Zack, Ed, Clark, and Stephen went out to the buggy to go around to the clinic. No sooner than they arrived, one of the new rescues showed up in full labor. He was definitely in pain.
"Well, gentlemen, looks like you’ll see the new chair in action in a couple of minutes and you can see how this is going to revolutionize the Genmen birthing process," Clark announced.
Clark had no problem picking up the young man because he had not fully grown. He carried him into the delivery room and set him up beside the chair. "Young man, I’m going to remove your bottoms and I’m going to set you in this chair and you get ready to deliver. Lex will be here in a minute and I will have you ready so that you have a pain-free delivery for your child."
Clark lowered the young man’s pants and noticed that he was definitely in active labor and had a discharge. He helped the young man into the chair, placed his feet on the foot rest, and had him sit down onto the thigh supports. He leaned them over to the chest pad and told him to grab hold of the handgrips.
"Now, young man, I’m going to spread your legs a little bit to relieve that pressure that you’re feeling. It’s not a lot of pain, but it’s a whole lot of pressure. When I do this, you won’t feel anything but relaxed and you are going to have this baby."
Zack and Ed intently watched Clark as he prepped the young man in the chair. Clark walked around to the front of the chair as Lex got behind him.
"Young man, push a little button here and I am going to slide your legs apart. Let me know if you feel any pain." Clark slid the young man’s legs wide and there was a sudden relaxation in the stress on his face.
"And how does that feel, young man?"
"Oh, wow, that feels great! I don’t feel any pressure now—it’s just like my body is just there. I do feel a little funny in the fact that there’s no pressure."
Clark laid his hand on the young man’s hands. "That funny sensation that you’re feeling is your baby coming out of you. You’re birthing him right now as we speak. Look at the monitor right now, young man, and you can see what’s going on behind you."
"There’s his head as it comes out your vent—there comes his shoulders, now down to the chest area. Yep, he is definitely a boy, no doubt about that. Now he is out."
The young man was overcome with joy seeing his first child be delivered, and it didn’t hurt like everybody said it does.
"Now let me tell you one thing—you have a beautiful son, but you need to grow up, go to your transition, and choose wisely before you ever have another. I know this is not what you have planned for yourself, but you have a beautiful child."
The young man thanked Clark for everything he did for him and he wanted to know his name so his son could have a name.
"Okay, my name is Clark Xavier Wooten and I am a doctor from the city at the Hawthorne Medical Center. You were the first one to christen our new delivery chair here that I designed by reading Genmen historical archives."
"Doc, is it all right if I name him Xavier? I don’t know why, but I think it’s a neat name."
"Yes, son, you can name him Xavier. It’s a special name—it belonged to my grandfather."
Lex brought the baby to him to see if he had anything in the way of nectar for the child to feed him. The baby latched onto one of his glands and started nursing as hard as he could. The young Genman’s eyes popped open—he realized that his nectar had come in and he was able to feed his child. The lad was very happy. Lex cleaned him up and helped him from the chair to a wheelchair so that he could relax before going back to the dorm.
"Well, Ed, what do you think? Can we make a fortune off these things right here?"
"Zach, you may be on to something, but guess what—the doc gets 50%."
"No, gentlemen, I don’t get a dime. Whatever is made out of these chairs that’s mine shall go back to programs like this right here—a health and wellness program to help Genmen and hybrids have healthy children with the least amount of pain as possible."
