Chapter 332
Chapter 332: Chapter 332
"Another price increase? Five hundred thousand?!"
Liu Sanleng’s voice suddenly rose, sounding even a bit exasperated.
Yang Fan calmly soothed, "Boss Liu, don’t be anxious yet, let me explain to you, a price increase doesn’t necessarily mean you have to shell out money. As for the asking price of five hundred thousand, it’s because after some evaluation on our part, we realized we need a larger investment, that’s why the price needs to go up."
"If I don’t have to pay, what does that mean?" Liu Sanleng’s tone softened somewhat.
"It’s because we have a backup plan," Yang Fan said. "This matter, well, it depends on your own courage, Boss Liu. From the project to the channels, we can handle everything, and we’ll make sure everything is trained up for you."
"You can choose to give us five hundred thousand, or pay a twenty thousand deposit and later contribute forty percent of the monthly net profit. These are two plans; the choice is yours."
Liu Sanleng fell silent for a while, then said, "Forty percent of the profit, isn’t that a bit too high? Lower it, I think twenty percent is more like it. If you agree to this condition, we can sign the contract right away."
This guy really has no idea, does he?
"Twenty percent is absolutely impossible," Yang Fan decisively rejected Liu Sanleng’s bargaining, "we’ve estimated Xin’an Town’s market, and even if we succeed, the overall profit is very limited."
"In this affair, we need to invest a great deal of manpower and material resources, and we’re even providing you with channels for free. Channels, I think Boss Liu, you now fully understand, are one of the main reasons that are choking your business."
"Moreover, once the one-week trial operation ends, if the results don’t meet our estimates, we will assume the loss, and that’s going to cost us quite a bit."
Yang Fan rephrased what Diwu Ming had said and told Liu Sanleng.
"Yes, yes, I can understand all that, but forty percent is ridiculously high!" Liu Sanleng muttered.
This guy is quite the hand at haggling.
"Then there’s no helping it," Yang Fan said. "The company was having doubts, but it was I who repeatedly assured that your customer base is very stable, that’s why the company decided to take a gamble."
"You can’t give in a little more?" Liu Sanleng still seemed somewhat unwilling to give up.
Yang Fan said very firmly, "We can’t go any lower."
"Fine then... all right, let’s do it that way. When you’re free, come over so we can sign the contract," Liu Sanleng finally relented.
And he gave in quite easily.
It seems he wasn’t oblivious to his situation but was trying to test Yang Fan’s bottom line.
"Alright, someone will come over to discuss the specific details with you, Boss Liu," Yang Fan said.
He’d only casually sweet-talked, feeling this might be worthwhile, and that’s why he consulted with Diwu Ming.
Now that Liu Sanleng had agreed, Yang Fan’s part was done; he just had to wait for the benefits.
The rest would naturally be arranged and handed over by Diwu Ming’s team.
Even if Yang Fan were asked to do these specific operations, he wouldn’t know how.
"Dinner’s ready!"
The sister-in-law’s voice carried into the yard.
Yang Fan put away his phone, called out to Fourth Aunt and Yang Yuan, and they all headed to the kitchen together.
Little Mother, a better cook than hotel chefs, had prepared a sumptuous spread.
The main dish was the rooster that had always bullied the hen, stewed in a full small pot.
Although Little Mother didn’t make veiled criticisms or curse indirectly.
Yet, looking at the pot of chicken, Yang Fan couldn’t help but think of the bullying rooster.
After a hearty dinner, Yang Fan slipped into the bathroom and quickly took a cold shower.
He was planning to go see Gao Lanlan later.
This woman, as ravenous as a wolf and fierce as a tiger, had been sending him messages almost every day these last few days, asking when he would have time to come sit at her place. The implication was clear. After being asked so many times, it was becoming difficult for Yang Fan to keep making excuses.
And although today’s battle with Yang Yuan was delightful, he felt somewhat restrained, not daring to exert too much force.
It was a good opportunity to go to Gao Lanlan and reclaim that missing sensation.
With such a tough and enduring woman like her, Yang Fan didn’t need to be considerate or hold back; he could just let loose and go at it fiercely.
After putting on clothes, he walked out of the bathroom, only to be startled by a figure standing at the door.
"Damn!" Yang Fan exclaimed, and then recognized the person, speaking speechlessly, "Little Mother, how can you not make a sound at all?"
Zhou Wenhu glanced into the yard and whispered, "Keep it down, why are you shouting so loudly? Wait until we go to the attic, I have something to tell you."
"Right now?" asked Yang Fan.
"Just wait a little while," Zhou Wenhu instructed him in a lowered voice, then left with a sway of her graceful figure.
Yang Fan was a bit confused—what was Little Mother scheming so secretly about now?
Back in his room, he changed into another set of clothes and sat for a while before getting up and heading to the attic.
The Little Mother had tidied up the room again these past few days; it now looked a lot neater.
Various flowers were arranged in an orderly manner, and a new wardrobe and a solid wood tea table had been added.
Yang Fan sat down next to the tea table and brewed himself a cup of tea.
It had to be said, Little Mother knew how to live a tasteful life.
Sitting in such a room, drinking tea, admiring the flowers, and watching the clouds rolling by, was quite wonderful.
The moment the tea hit his throat, Yang Fan’s mind also settled down, instantly feeling a bit of ease.
Although he spent his days in the store, bored and drinking tea, he never felt quite as peaceful as he did at this moment.
Busy hustling for money all day, even when Yang Fan’s body had downtime, his mind had never truly taken a break.
"I’ve got to learn from Little Mother in the future; this is the right attitude towards life," thought Yang Fan as he slowly sipped his tea.
Being busy for money, but at the same time, enjoying life was important.
Light footsteps came from the stairs.
After a moment, Zhou Wenhu crept up like a thief.
"Little Mother, what’s the matter? Why all the mystery?" Yang Fan asked, puzzled.
Zhou Wenhu leaned against the back of the chair Yang Fan was sitting on and muttered crossly, "What else could it be? It’s about you and your sister-in-law. I swear, you’re really something—you act like the Emperor isn’t in a hurry but the eunuch is almost dying of anxiety, aren’t you?"
Yang Fan was taken aback because he had already settled things with his sister-in-law; so, indeed, there was nothing for him to worry about now.
But Little Mother didn’t know...
With an embarrassed smile, Yang Fan muttered, "Can’t help but worry."
"I’ll tell you what to do, okay? Later, you drink a little alcohol, then wait for my message, and go to your sister-in-law’s room," Zhou Wenhu whispered, "You have to make it convincing—best to act like you’re so desperate to get your sister-in-law that it’s driving you to heartbreak."
"That’s still the inspiration from Xiao Yuan that day. You don’t know what happened that night... Oh, did I ever tell you about that?"
Yang Fan shook his head.
