Chapter 331

Chapter 331: Chapter 331

Yang Fan’s mind was somewhat chaotic.

Knowing there was something between him and his sister-in-law, Yang Yuan was still willing to do this.

What was she after?

"Xiao Yuan, I need you to be honest with me, why do you want to do this?" Yang Fan asked seriously.

Yang Yuan gazed directly at Yang Fan, her eyes glittering with an unusual affection. She tilted her head slightly and chuckled, "There aren’t so many whys. It’s just pure liking. I like, so I do it!"

"How can there be so many whys in the world? Isn’t it often that we just follow our hearts and act spontaneously?"

Yang Fan found himself at a loss for words.

Such an attitude was common among men, but it was truly unusual to find Yang Yuan thinking the same way.

However, considering her usually carefree demeanor, she indeed had something of a boyish character.

"Alright, the deed is done, asking more seems somewhat redundant." Yang Fan shook his head and chuckled softly.

And just like that, as if by some strange twist of fate, he had another girlfriend.

And this girlfriend was his cousin.

Although there was no blood relation, the nominal relationship was very much real.

"Brother, don’t think too much, let’s just have fun with it," Yang Yuan said with a playful laugh.

What else could Yang Fan do?

It seemed he didn’t have many other options.

"Alright, what more can I say. Let’s tidy up and go home." Yang Fan grasped Yang Yuan’s soft, full buttocks and climbed off her.

Yang Yuan pouted her plump lips and extended her arms towards Yang Fan, "Brother, hold me!"

Yang smiled helplessly and lifted Yang Yuan from the bed in a princess carry, heading to the bathroom in the yard.

After a quick wash, Yang Fan and Yang Yuan left the house together.

In the town, they casually bought some fruit before riding the tricycle back home.

When they arrived, smoke was curling up from the roof, and the scent of food wafted both inside and outside the yard.

This earthly life, how it soothes the hearts of mortals.

After opening his store in town, Yang Fan, though he returned home regularly, felt a sense of absence from home.

Now, each time he entered the house, he felt an extra sense of warmth.

"Yo, do you two have dog noses or what? The dishes are just about to be ready, and you guys happen to come back." Zhou Wenhui, wearing an apron, peeked out from the kitchen, saying with a smile.

Yang Fan replied with a smile, "Little Mother, not being keen on eating would be a huge sin. Being negligent in other matters might be forgivable, but never in this one. Didn’t I hear from my sister-in-law that we’re having an extra dish tonight?"

"Yep, an extra dish," Zhou Wenhui laughed, "That old rooster at home is so annoying, just knowing how to bully the hens and making them all skinny. I’ve disliked him for a long time. Today I had nothing much to do, so I stewed it."

Yang Fan suddenly felt like he was being indirectly scolded.

Yang Yuan was smiling at the corners of her mouth, then suddenly cast a meaningful look at Yang Fan, her eyes filled with mirth.

Yang Fan coughed lightly and said in a low voice, "Talking about the rooster, why are you looking at me?"

"Hmm... because I want to eat," Yang Yuan chuckled.

"Just eat, do you need to report to me every time you have a meal?" Yang Fan said speechlessly.

Fortunately, Little Mother didn’t know the specifics of his situation, otherwise Yang Fan would definitely think that Little Mother was insinuating something about him. Except for the part about looking gaunt, which wasn’t exactly fitting, everything else she said almost perfectly mirrored the original.

"What are you two whispering about? Stop dawdling and go wash up—we’re about to eat." Zhou Wenhu shouted out with a raise of her hand, then turned and went into the kitchen.

Yang Fan responded and entered the inner courtyard one after the other with Yang Yuan.

"Your eyes just now were very problematic!" Yang Fan took the opportunity to give Yang Yuan’s delicate buttocks a firm pinch.

Yang Yuan twisted her slender waist and giggled, "No, no, brother, I was just overthinking. But if someone should appear gaunt, wouldn’t it be you, brother?"

"Shut up, don’t talk nonsense," Yang Fan said sternly, his face turning serious.

He was always worried that if Yang Yuan was too affectionate with him, Fourth Aunt would notice and suspect something.

If he had just sneakily taken liberties with her and now, he was getting cozy with her foster daughter, Yang Fan didn’t have to think twice or doubt anything—Fourth Aunt would definitely kill him.

Outside in the courtyard, Fourth Aunt was mending a quilt.

Several neatly folded, already repaired quilts were placed beside her.

It seemed that this was her main task for the day.

"Fourth Aunt, what are you doing with so many quilts?" Yang Fan asked, somewhat surprised.

Fourth Aunt glanced at Yang Fan, her face suddenly flushing unnaturally as she averted her gaze and said in a low voice, "I figured the house didn’t lack anything, so I had some good cotton sent over from my family’s home to make a few thick quilts for you to use in the winter."

"Isn’t this a bit too much?" Yang Fan curiously looked and muttered.

"There are many rooms in the house, and what if I decide to come over again sometime? You’re only thinking of the three of you—shouldn’t you leave a couple of quilts for me and my daughter?" Fourth Aunt suddenly turned and rolled her eyes in annoyance.

Yang Fan was startled, sensing grievances in Fourth Aunt’s tone.

He touched his nose and said with a sheepish smile, "I hadn’t paid attention to exactly how many quilts there were."

"Mom, are you planning on coming over again soon?" Yang Yuan asked suddenly, her tone filled with surprise.

Fourth Aunt quickly glanced at Yang Fan, shook her head, and said, "I’m not sure yet, but I am considering it. Living in the countryside is so comfortable; now when I think of the city environment, I feel some resistance."

"It depends on whether your sister-in-law welcomes me. If she does, I might want to live in the countryside for a long time. We’ll see, nothing’s certain for now."

Yang Fan said with a smile, "Of course you’re welcome, how could you not be. Fourth Aunt, don’t overthink it; stay as long as you want."

Fourth Aunt looked deeply into Yang Fan’s eyes, her gaze secretly revealing a trace of amusement, "I’ll decide when the time comes; I haven’t made up my mind yet."

"Fourth Aunt, what’s there to think about? If you want to stay, just stay," Yang Fan said, when his phone suddenly started to ring loudly.

He checked it and saw that it was from a somewhat unexpected person, Liu Sanleng.

He had actually agreed.

That must be the case; otherwise, he wouldn’t be calling Yang Fan again.

Yang Fan stepped aside to answer the call, "Boss Liu, have you had a change of heart?"

"Brother, you’re really putting me in a tough spot," Liu Sanleng started, his voice full of melancholy.

"Your asking price is just too high. What if you made it a little cheaper? If it’s cheaper, I might consider it."

Yang Fan said with difficulty, "Boss Liu, not only can the price not be reduced now, but it has to go up!"

"I reported your situation to the company this afternoon, and the final decision from the company is five hundred thousand. The deal for two hundred thousand can’t be done anymore. The company views your situation even less optimistically than I do."
