Chapter 500: Chapter 536, This, this is...

"""Rather than calling it a conspiracy, it was more like Fang Yi instilling a theory in Rong Quan: If Li Xuan wanted to snatch away his successor’s position, then a counterattack—kill Li Xuan off!

At that moment, Fang Yi demonstrated what it meant to be eloquent, persuading Rong Quan into contemplation before finally departing.

Upon exiting the private room, Fang Yi grabbed a glass of red wine and downed it in one gulp. Since he didn’t see Su Ge’er, he didn’t stay any longer and left the Crystal Night Club.

Time flies, and before he knew it, another week had passed. During this week, Fang Yi occasionally strolled through the night market to check on the business, which was still booming. The number of barbecue franchise outlets had expanded from just over ten to more than twenty, completely dominating the Red Light Night Market.

Fang Yi pondered; although growing the business was a good thing, having all the outlets crammed in one place definitely wasn’t. Now that he had earned his first pot of gold, he could move on to higher-level business developments. Running a street stall forever wasn’t sustainable.

"Hmm, opening a few barbecue restaurants and later expanding to Tianjing wouldn’t be a bad idea," Fang Yi thought.

During this week, Liu Dasheng had come to him several times, mainly to see if he could chip in more money and then purchase the ’Delightful Mouth Fragrance’. Fang Yi held firm on his price—no less than 10 million, which really infuriated Liu Dasheng.

Every time Liu Dasheng left, he cursed and swore, unaware that his meetings and conniving with Li Xuan were all witnessed by Fang Yi.

But this was ultimately trivial. Fang Yi knew Li Xuan wanted to target him but didn’t care. Li Xuan wanted to deal with him, but wasn’t Fang Yi without his own countermeasures? Rong Quan was the perfect counter.

That evening, Fang Yi received a phone call from Shen Binan, asking him to come to Coastal Park. Without hesitation, he immediately headed to Coastal Park to find that Shen Binan had already been waiting there.

In the cool weather of October at dusk, Shen Binan’s long black hair was pinned up, and she wore a tight-fitting blazer, which showcased her ample chest and slender waist. The suit skirt just reached her knees, revealing her legs clad in flesh-colored stockings, accompanied by high heels, making Shen Binan look both tall and striking.

"Here?" Without waiting for Fang Yi to say anything, Shen Binan said, "Come, follow me inside."

Fang Yi didn’t say a word and followed Shen Binan into Coastal Park.

Built near the sea, entering the park brought a breeze that made the already cool weather a bit chillier. Shen Binan walked ahead as the sea breeze fluttered her hair and the hem of her clothes.

Shen Binan seemed familiar with Coastal Park and didn’t take a detour, heading straight in a certain direction. After walking for a while, Fang Yi realized they were head deep into the park where trees thickened and silence pervaded, creating a serene atmosphere.

As they entered the park in the evening, by the time they arrived here, it had already turned completely dark.

"Shen Binan, why did you bring me here? Don’t tell me you wanted a date to stargaze?" Fang Yi, who was following behind, couldn’t help but speak up. What was the meaning of just walking like this?

Shen Binan ahead didn’t answer but kept walking.

Fang Yi said, "It’s getting dark, and you’re still heading deeper, be careful of ghosts."

"Don’t worry, if there are ghosts, I’ll handle them," Shen Binan responded coldly.

"Err... I was just saying. If there really were ghosts, I couldn’t let a woman stand in front for me," Fang Yi, who usually had thick skin, felt a bit overstrained at the moment, then said, "But it’s getting dark, and I can’t see the road anymore, let’s head back."

Right after Fang Yi finished speaking, Shen Binan stopped ahead. After a short while, a flashlight beam came on.

"Damn it, you even prepared a flashlight?!" Fang Yi grew increasingly suspicious of this woman."""

"Ah, we’re almost there," Binnan said, worrying that Fang Yi might not hold up much longer.

"I’m actually curious to see where exactly you’re taking me," Fang Yi sneered.

Soon enough, the duo arrived at a small stream.

"Binnan, don’t tell me you want us to go down there," Fang Yi said in a strange voice.

"Just keep walking."

Holding a flashlight, Binnan led the way up the stream. After a short walk, a small mountain came into view with a cave from which the stream flowed.

Binnan crouched down, removed his shoes and sock, and Fang Yi didn’t need to ask to know what Binnan was planning. Since Fang Yi knew that Binnan wouldn’t turn back unless he hit a dead end, he simply followed suit by taking off his own shoes and rolling up his trouser legs...

Binnan led the way, flashlight in hand, with Fang Yi following behind as they waded through the creek. The terrain sloped steeply downward, and soon a faint rumbling could be heard surrounding them. Thanks to Fang Yi’s high spiritual sense, he could hear the sound clearly.

The cave was bitterly cold, presenting a stark contrast to the temperature outside. Watching Binnan in front, Fang Yi suddenly asked, "Have you been here before?"

"Yeah, I’ve been here once," Binnan replied. "I stumbled upon this place by chance, and I suspect there’s some secret hidden here."

A secret?

What kind of secret could this creepy cave possibly hold?

After walking some more, they finally reached the end. Fang Yi moved ahead, illuminating the area with his flashlight, only to see a massive boulder that resembled a standing stone door.

"Interesting," Fang Yi chuckled, stepping forward to feel the stone door. Suddenly, his expression changed dramatically.

"Did you find something?" Noticing the change in Fang Yi’s expression, Binnan immediately asked.

Fang Yi turned around, looking at Binnan with a peculiar expression, and said, "Binnan, do you think there’s treasure behind this stone door?"

Binnan was taken aback, then shook his head, "I’m not that naïve. I just think there might be something hidden behind this stone door."

Fang Yi rolled his eyes, "Isn’t that the same as treasure?" He paused, then continued, "I feel there might be a passage behind this stone door, one that leads to the ocean."

The usually stoic Binnan’s face changed slightly, "Connected to the ocean? Doesn’t that mean if we open this stone door, sea water might rush in?"

"Heh, you’re finally catching on," Fang Yi laughed. "Come on, let’s not stay here, let’s go."

Though Binnan was reluctant, they had no choice but to leave, as the consequences of opening the stone door and allowing the sea to flood in were unimaginable. Fang Yi found it amusing, thinking Binnan might have been corrupted by too many adventure novels, coming here in search of treasure.

As Fang Yi turned to leave, his bare foot suddenly stepped on something hard and uncomfortable, but he was sure it wasn’t a rock. Bending down, Fang Yi felt around under his foot for a moment before pulling out something the size of a fingertip.

Binnan took the flashlight, shining it on the object in Fang Yi’s hand, and gasped in surprise, "This, this is..."
