Chapter 499: Chapter 535: Turncoat Strategy
Fang Yi had only asked casually, but he hadn’t expected Su Ge’er to respond with such a tone, laced with hidden murderous intent. It was something worth noting.
"You seem to harbor a great deal of hatred towards the Iron Fist Sect?" Fang Yi inquired.
"A deep hatred as vast as the sea," Su Ge’er stated calmly, yet within those four words hid a tumultuous rage.
"...It seems I shouldn’t inquire further," Fang Yi said.
Just then, the enforcer returned, pointing toward a private room, informing Fang Yi that Rong Quan was inside.
Su Ge’er quickly reined in her emotions, and as if nothing had happened, said, "Alliance Hierarch, that Rong Quan is Rong Shuo’s son. He might not be the best person to provoke, and this is all Rong Group’s territory. Please think thrice before you act."
"Do I look like someone who acts impulsively?" Fang Yi said with a smile, "My visit to Rong Quan is merely to discuss some business."
"Business?"
"A deal that’s entirely to his benefit," Fang Yi said, his lips curling into a profoundly meaningful smile.
Then Fang Yi went alone to the room, using brute force to twist open the door. Under Su Ge’er’s watchful gaze, he entered the room and vanished from sight.
Inside the room, the music was blasting, the thumping bass rhythmically urging one to dance.
The lighting was dimly red, suggesting decadence. But upon entering, Fang Yi didn’t find Rong Quan; the room was filled with women, not a single man in sight.
Four women were inside, dressed in either black stockings or flesh-colored ones, low-cut outfits revealing each of their assets without reserve. When they saw Fang Yi enter, none of the women showed the slightest surprise; it seemed only natural.
Fang Yi felt something was off, and upon closer inspection, he saw the dull look in the women’s eyes—they were clearly under the influence of some hallucinogenic drugs, like addicts, a sight all too familiar to Fang Yi.
The thumping music continued as Fang Yi scanned the room and turned his attention toward the restroom.
Through the frosted glass door, Fang Yi caught sight of two figures locked in a fierce struggle.
Simply taking a seat on the sofa, Fang Yi’s eyes fell upon a piece of black lace underwear beside him, though it was unclear to whom it belonged. Suddenly, one of the women lunged at Fang Yi, who casually dodged the assault.
Then, as if spotting something, the other three women with their listless eyes turned towards Fang Yi, their gaze filled with greed as they approached.
"Taking too many hallucinogenic pills really isn’t good for you."
Fang Yi exhaled and decided to pressure each of the four women’s acupoints, bringing quiet to the room.
Afterward, Fang Yi lit a cigarette, propped his feet on the coffee table, leaned back against the sofa, and waited in silence.
Inside the restroom, the struggle grew more intense until a minute or so later, it ended, and the door swung open. A short man emerged, naked, with his genitals wrapped in an object, freezing upon seeing Fang Yi sitting on the sofa.
"Hi," Fang Yi greeted.
"Who are you?" the man asked, frowning.
"I am Fang Yi. I’ve long admired young master Rong Quan’s reputation and have made my way here quite inadvertently. Please forgive my intrusion," Fang Yi said with a smile.
Sensing the intruder was no ordinary person, Rong Quan looked at the women lying silently on the sofa and asked with a furrowed brow, "What did you do to them?"
"I wanted to discuss a matter with young master Rong Quan, so I put them to sleep first. I was afraid they might overhear our conversation. I truly wish to speak with you, young master—do you consent?" Fang Yi said, a smile on his lips, but the threat behind his words was unmistakable.
After a moment’s hesitation, Rong Quan dressed and lit a cigarette from the coffee table, took a seat on the sofa, and crossed his legs.
Rong Quan exhaled a couple of puffs of smoke before saying, "Speak then. If you don’t say something worth my while, I can assure you, you may leave this private room, but you won’t leave this nightclub."
Rong Quan, son of Rong Shuo, a true wealthy second-generation and no stranger to arrogance and high-handedness, wasn’t angry at the moment, but that didn’t mean he was intimidated.
"I’ll remember that, young master Rong Quan," Fang Yi spoke indifferently, "Young master, are you familiar with Li Xuan?"
The mention of this name caused the previously relaxed Rong Quan to tense visibly, his expression turning grim as he fixated on Fang Yi.
Unconcerned, Fang Yi noted Rong Quan’s change in demeanor and continued with a light smile, "It seems you do know him, and you must be aware of his identity. Young master, I just want to inform you that Li Xuan is coming to take what’s yours."
Rong Quan’s expression turned icy as he said coldly, "What nonsense are you spouting!"
"You know whether I’m speaking nonsense or not, young master," Fang Yi said with a smile.
Taking aggressive puffs from his cigarette, Rong Quan stared at Fang Yi and demanded, "What do you want to say by coming to me?"
"I’ve come seeking a partnership with young master Rong Quan."
"Partnership?"
"Yes, a partnership," Fang Yi said calmly, "Even though you’re the rightful heir of Rong Group, that was the past. With Li Xuan’s return, are you sure you can hold onto your position as the successor?"
Rong Quan clenched his fist in an instant!
The next moment, he said coldly, "Are you and Li Xuan enemies?"
"That’s right, he is my enemy. He wants me dead, and I want him dead—that’s the nature of our relationship," Fang Yi confirmed.
After a long silence, Rong Quan uttered hesitantly, "How can I believe you?"
"Belief is entirely up to you, young master Rong Quan," Fang Yi replied, "I won’t say much. I simply wish to tell you that if you don’t take action soon, the title of heir to the Rong Group may soon change hands."
"That bastard Li Xuan!" Rong Quan exclaimed, slamming his fist onto the coffee table, trembling with anger.
Suddenly, Rong Quan turned his head to look at Fang Yi and said, "I agree to this partnership. I won’t have peace until Li Xuan is dead. Speak, what’s your plan? I’m listening."
Rong Quan’s earlier calm was just a facade; now his true nature surfaced, and Fang Yi could see it. Rong Quan’s hatred for Li Xuan had reached an irreparable level.
Fang Yi gave a slight smile and began to conspire with Rong Quan.
Observing Rong Quan’s overwhelming hatred, Fang Yi thought that using him as a pawn might not be such a bad idea.
