Chapter 189: Chapters 186-187, I am a Madman too

Lu Zhexi twisted his head, a cold gleam flickering in his small eyes.

The next moment, a handgun suddenly appeared in Lu Zhexi’s hand, and he fired without aiming.

Bang! Bang!

The gunshots were muffled by a silencer and weren’t very loud.

Fang Yi felt the bullets graze past him. If it hadn’t been for the moonlight and his extreme caution, he might not have noticed at all and could be lying on the ground by now.

Fang Yi felt a chill in his heart. The opponent had a gun; this was a significant threat.

However, Fang Yi was not going to back down because of this.

Fang Yi’s figure traced an S-curve, approaching Lu Zhexi in an instant.

"Be careful," Lu Zhexi suddenly said with a smile.

Fang Yi saw a flash of white light that was there and gone in an instant, causing him to momentarily go blind.

Swoosh!

A silver needle as thin as a cow’s hair pierced the air and embedded itself in Fang Yi’s collarbone. He felt his blood congeal and a severe numbness that made his body stagger.

"Ah, I did tell you to be careful, yet you were so careless," Lu Zhexi sighed, and by the time he looked again, Fang Yi had already distanced himself.

Fang Yi slowly pulled out the silver needle, sniffed it, and smelled a faint scent that made his head spin slightly.

Lu Zhexi smiled and said, "My nickname is ’Poison Needle.’ You have five minutes after this needle, during which you can strike me at will. Actually, I want to see what the so-called ’Abandoned Dragon,’ when driven into a corner and to the height of rage, looks like."

These words carried a sinister tone, laced with mockery, as if Lu Zhexi had the situation under complete control.

"You want to see me angry?" Fang Yi asked calmly, waiting for Lu Zhexi to finish speaking, but his eyes were stormy and sharp as swords.

"Of course," Lu Zhexi smiled. "Hurry up, show me all you’ve got. I’m really curious."

Fang Yi was silent for a moment, then said, "Fine, I’ll satisfy you."

The next moment, Fang Yi bent down and picked up a knife from the ground, likely dropped by Song Wuliang.

Fang Yi held the knife and stepped toward Lu Zhexi.

Lu Zhexi sneered, then raised his handgun, aiming at Fang Yi’s shin. He planned to shatter Fang Yi’s shin first and then slowly torment him.

His finger pulled the trigger.

Click!

However, the anticipated gunshot did not sound.

Lu Zhexi was taken aback, then pulled the trigger again, but it was only met with a click and no gunshot.

What’s going on? Why is this happening? With a smile still on his face, a sliver of unease arose in Lu Zhexi’s heart as he continuously pulled the trigger...

Click! Click-click!

"Stop trying. Don’t you feel that your gun is a bit lighter?" Fang Yi couldn’t bear it anymore. He lifted his left hand, revealing a magazine between his fingers.

Lu Zhexi took a deep breath, furiously threw his handgun on the ground, and with a cold smile said, "You’ve successfully angered me!" Yet, inside, his mind was in turmoil.

When did he take the magazine from me? Lu Zhexi rapidly replayed the moments in his mind, quickly realizing it must have been when the opponent was close enough to take it.

But what frightened Lu Zhexi was that the opponent had taken the magazine out of his handgun without him noticing.

What if he had wanted to kill me?

In an instant, a layer of cold sweat appeared on Lu Zhexi’s back.

Fang Yi, holding the knife and wearing an eerie smile, slowly walked toward Lu Zhexi.

"Tell me, where did you take that woman?" Fang Yi spoke indifferently.

"You think I would tell you?" Lu Zhexi sneered, his gaze darting around.

"I won’t let you leave until you tell me where that woman is. Perhaps, you might end up staying here forever," Fang Yi said with wolf-like deep eyes, locking onto Lu Zhexi.

Shoo shoo shoo!

Suddenly, three silver needles burst towards Fang Yi.

Ding ding ding!

However, they just heard three ringing sounds as Fang Yi blocked all three silver needles.

"Strange, it’s been at least three minutes. Why hasn’t he fallen yet!" Lu Zhexi suddenly thought, recalling how he had pricked Fang Yi with a poison needle earlier.

But... why hadn’t his opponent fallen yet, still acting as if nothing was wrong?

Lu Zhexi couldn’t figure it out. In the end, he could only assume that the poison hadn’t spread yet, and maybe it would take a few more minutes.

A cold gleam flashed in Lu Zhexi’s eyes. A dagger appeared in his hand, and rather than retreating, he charged towards Fang Yi.

Fang Yi gave a cold smile and also suddenly advanced.

Energy and blood roiled within Fang Yi’s body, bringing a sense of dizziness that urged him to sleep. However, Fang Yi immediately circulated the "Evil Desire Scripture," and his mind became clear in an instant.

Holding the dagger, Lu Zhexi, like a swift wild dog, seized the moment when Fang Yi momentarily felt dizzy and lunged. If the prey showed weakness, he would certainly exploit it.

However, what Lu Zhexi didn’t know was that Fang Yis’s dizziness was only brief.

Just as the dagger was about to pierce Fang Yi’s chest, it was blocked by a horizontal blade. Fang Yi then countered with a shake of his hand, causing Lu Zhexi to stagger backward.

Fang Yi stepped forward, changing his grip on the blade to a lifting position, then violently drove the knife down.

Puchi!

The knife plunged directly into Lu Zhexi’s thigh, nailing it to the ground.

Lu Zhexi naturally screamed in pain, but Fang Yi remained cold-faced, stood up, walked over, and punched Lu Zhexi in his slightly pale face, knocking out some of his teeth and silencing him.

"Speak, where is that woman? Your life and death hang on a single thought," Fang Yi said indifferently, his tone unnervingly calm.

"Hmph! Do you think I will speak? I’m a madman; I won’t say," Lu Zhexi quickly resumed his deranged demeanor.

The corners of Fang Yi’s mouth lifted; he said nothing, pulled the knife out of Lu Zhexi’s thigh, and with that pull, Lu Zhexi let out a blood-curdling scream, so distressing that even Song Wuliang, who hung like a dead pig, couldn’t help but feel somewhat sympathetic.

Fang Yi did not stop; the next moment, a bloody scene occurred.

Fang Yi positioned the knife vertically and plunged it back into Lu Zhexi’s thigh, splattering blood and creating two bloody holes.

"Holy shit! I’m going to faint!" Song Wuliang finally saw Fang Yi’s cold-blooded and cruel side, and thinking back to the time they had been like brothers, he couldn’t help but shudder in fear.

Observing the agonized Lu Zhexi, Fang Yi said faintly, "Not only are you a madman, but I too am a madman. If you wish to die, I shall grant it." With that, he pulled out the knife, ready to stab again.

"Wait!" Lu Zhexi suddenly screamed.

"Ready to talk?"

"In... that direction," Lu Zhexi quickly pointed in the direction Fang Yi had come from, finally scared. He considered himself crazy, but today, he had truly seen what a madman looked like.

Fang Yi, however, was no longer in a hurry. He suddenly thought that maybe Lu Zhexi hadn’t taken Shen Binnan but Lin Mengyan.

Puchi!

Without any warning, Fang Yi stabbed the knife again into Lu Zhexi’s thigh, ensuring he couldn’t escape.

"Bastard! You bastard!" Lu Zhexi screamed shrilly.

Fang Yi ignored him and walked toward Song Wuliang. A few small traps had been set up there, but Fang Yi easily disarmed them and then let Song Wuliang down.

Thump, Song Wuliang fell on his buttocks: "Ouch, I almost killed myself! My precious butt..." he cried in pain while rubbing it, grimacing.

"Eh, where’s that guy?" Song Wuliang suddenly froze.

Fang Yi looked back, frowned, and saw that Lu Zhexi had disappeared, leaving only a knife behind.
