Chapter 188: Chapter 185: Two Killing Intentions

Everyone was eagerly anticipating a result.

Bai Kuang was fierce and lived up to his name. At Human Level Eight, he could use Inner Strength, although not for extended periods. At his age, this indeed was a capital of arrogance.

For a Martial Artist, cultivating Inner Strength is difficult, and Bai Kuang, coming from the Bai Family, had many resources and conditions to cultivate. In this modern city, enduring hardship to achieve this step, Bai Kuang was truly formidable.

However, when Bai Kuang’s fist connected with Fang Yi’s right fist, all Bai Kuang’s confidence crumbled.

Bai Kuang felt his punch had not hit the opponent’s fist but had indeed struck a thick steel plate. And this steel plate also had a rebounding force, fiercely bouncing the force back at him.

Inner Strength!

Bai Kuang clearly felt the Inner Strength rebounding from Fang Yi’s right fist, and it was even more vast and mighty than his.

"How is this possible! You’re just at Human Level Four, how could you possibly..." Bai Kuang yelled out, unbelieving that Fang Yi, at just Human Level Four, could use Inner Strength.

Fang Yi sneered, "Do you think just because you are at Human Level Eight, I cannot break through?"

Bai Kuang’s face drastically changed, alarmed, "Impossible! It’s only been a week, how could you have broken through! This isn’t possible!"

Breaking through? Was it that simple? In the past, it had taken him more than three months to breakthrough from Human Level Seven to Eight, with the help of various medicines and family elders.

But... Fang Yi had broken through in just a week, and even advanced several levels consecutively!

Such talent, truly even more monstrous than those geniuses!

However, Bai Kuang couldn’t accept it!

"I can’t accept this!" Bai Kuang felt that Fang Yi had not reached Human Level Eight yet, yes, there was still a chance!

Bai Kuang went mad, his face took on a crazed look, almost deranged, and he charged at Fang Yi once more, wildly unrestrained.

The eerie smile still lingered on Fang Yi’s lips; when Bai Kuang charged at him, Fang Yi didn’t clash directly anymore but opted to attack in a different way.

Fang Yi activated Divine Travel Steps, his movements ghostly and steps tricky; he was only one level behind Bai Kuang. Now that Bai Kuang’s mind was disordered, Fang Yi could slowly settle the matter.

The surroundings fell silent, with some people having unpleasant expressions, because anyone not a fool could see that Bai Kuang was in an inevitable defeat.

In the dark night, Zhou Quan’s expression was somber, standing beside him was Bai Mingqi.

"Young Master Bai, it seems your elder brother isn’t so formidable after all," Zhou Quan said coldly.

The previously composed and confident demeanor was gone from Bai Mingqi, who was tightly clutching a wine glass in his hand.

"Butler Zhou, horses stumble, people err," Bai Mingqi said calmly.

"Heh, is that so? Originally, my young master wanted to meet you for a meal, but now I see that’s unnecessary," Zhou Quan stood up and left for the base of the mountain.

Leaving Bai Mingqi alone there, he watched as Bai Kuang, his elder brother, got driven around by Fang Yi like a bull in a ring; Bai Mingqi felt a pressure swelling in his chest, as if about to burst.

This was supposed to be an effortless victory, yet... the outcome had reversed, how could he accept this?

...

In the pavilion, Old Master Lin sighed gently: "Bai Kuang has lost."

This statement broke the silence in the pavilion, and Old Master Bai’s face looked awful. After sitting for a moment, Old Master Bai slowly said, "Old Master Song, that ten million of yours, I’ll have someone deliver it."

"What about mine, Old Master Bai?" Wang Zhuo said, smiling.

"I won’t forget," replied Old Master Bai sternly.

...

"Bai Kuang, you have already lost, why continue to resist?" Fang Yi, strolling leisurely, dodged Bai Kuang’s attacks.

"I haven’t lost, the duel isn’t over yet! I can’t possibly lose!" Bai Kuang bellowed, his voice full of unwillingness.

Fang Yi sighed, no longer dodged, and with a half-circle movement of his feet, he instantly got behind Bai Kuang. He lifted his hand, his fingers formed a fist, and he slammed it into the back of Bai Kuang.

Bai Kuang flew out and fell to the ground. Fang Yi slowly paced over, a cold glint flashing in his eyes.

Just then, a powerful punch whistled past Fang Yi’s ear causing a chill to run down his spine, and a bad premonition arose in his heart, prompting him to swiftly sidestep.

However, the attacker was too fast, and Fang Yi could not dodge in time and still caught a punch.

Fang Yi’s inner strength roiled turbulently, and a trickle of blood emerged from the corner of his mouth. On focusing, he saw a middle-aged man already standing by Bai Kuang, coldly watching him.

Fang Yi did not wipe the blood from the corner of his mouth and looked at the middle-aged man, saying coldly, "Do you intend to stand up for him?"

The middle-aged man shook his head, "The decisive battle between you two already has a result. There’s no need to continue."

Fang Yi coldly laughed, "Is that so? But I remember, our duel was agreed upon, regardless of life or death, does he intend to back out?"

A chilly gleam flashed in the middle-aged man’s eyes, and his tone became grave, "Young man, don’t deceive yourself."

Fang Yi shook his head, "I won’t kill him. I only need to cripple one of his arms to settle this."

The middle-aged man’s expression showed a scoff and said, "Who are you to demand a settlement? Regardless, I am here tonight, and you can’t touch him. If you persist in your delusion, you will likely suffer regrets."

"Damn it! Bai Family is too shameless, wanting to go back on your loss! Everyone, let’s stand up against them!" A fat man suddenly shouted, it was Song Wuliang, always eager to stir up trouble.

However, given his notorious reputation for wrongdoing, his call was met with no response whatsoever.

Yet, Song Wuliang did not feel embarrassed; he had anticipated this and somehow produced a knife, waving it theatrically and said, "Whoever, see the knife in my hand, you better scram, or be careful that I might chop you."

...

"Old Song, your grandson is quite something," from the pavilion, Elder Bai coldly looked toward Elder Song.

"That’s for sure! My grandson is the best," Elder Song slammed the table, very proud, yet inwardly he thought, "Damn, why does my grandson have to be so much like me?"

Regardless of Song Wuliang wielding a knife and threatening like gangsters, the middle-aged man did not move, guarding by Bai Kuang’s side, seemingly unshakeable by anything.

Fang Yi understood that now, it was impossible to get at Bai Kuang, but it left him feeling incredibly stifled.

Just then, the searchlights around Broken Dragon Mountain suddenly went out with a boom.

Yes, they went out!

The sudden change caught everyone unprepared.

"What’s going on? Why did it suddenly go dark?"

"Is there a power outage?"

"Damn it! What is happening!"

Voices of confusion and curses rose all around.

In the darkness, Fang Yi’s heart tightened as he felt two killing intents enveloping him, one definitely from the middle-aged man, as he saw him move.

But... where was the other killing intent coming from?

(I don’t know why, but the writer’s block is severe, headache-inducing.)
