Chapter 1528: Ashley leaves the team at 1416
The sub-hub of the Tenth Star Domain is called Rotemaster-151.
Similar to the sub-hubs of other star domains, the planet is equipped with 12 large detectors, each facing a different direction.
Through these detectors, the investigators can cover the entire star domain. All cultivators above the Sixth Tier will be marked on the detectors’ screens. Using this detection method, they can roughly determine if there are any rebel organizations in the star domain.
Of course, if an individual strong practitioner intentionally conceals themselves, the detectors may not necessarily locate them.
For example, Lailin.
If Lailin intentionally blocks his aura and eliminates all surrounding movement traces, his location is likely to elude the detectors.
However, the existence of large-scale rebel organizations cannot remain hidden.
If a rebel organization gathers on a large scale, there will inevitably be many cultivators above the Sixth Tier, and it’s impossible for all of them to conceal their aura. Furthermore, using large-scale aura-blocking Spiritual Energy artifacts is too costly.
Therefore, if there are significant gatherings of rebel organizations in the Tenth Star Domain, the detectors would undoubtedly locate them immediately.
Earlier, Dalanduo brought several other Stellar Level cultivators to the hub, each operating a detector to scan both the interior and exterior of the Tenth Star Domain.
Operating the detectors requires consuming a large amount of Spiritual Energy, and even for Stellar Level practitioners like them, it drains nearly half of their spiritual power.
In the past, these detectors were operated by hymn, but ever since hymn’s fall, they have been "left untouched" for two to three years.
In the end, their wide-ranging detection did not reveal any traces of large-scale rebel organization gatherings.
...
"It seems the Tenth Star Domain is currently safe."
"Existences like Lailin are certainly accompanied by a group of followers. And don’t forget, several Planet Level 5 super cultivators attacked Su Yu earlier!"
"So, this means the rebel organization must be on a massive scale, just possibly not in the Tenth Star Domain?"
"That’s highly likely. It seems Lailin is most likely from another star domain."
"Moving forward, we must implement rigorous sweeps across all star domains!"
Everyone began discussing with the people around them.
But at that moment, sharp-eyed individuals among the crowd noticed one member missing from the Stellar Level team.
"Where is Lady Ashley? Why isn’t Lady Ashley here?"
"Yes, where is Lady Ashley?" Once reminded, people immediately realized that Ashley was absent from the returning team.
Ashley was the last to pass through the rift earlier but didn’t come back.
"Did something happen on the other side?" someone asked. Speaker Lemo also cast an inquiring look at Dalanduo.
Without hesitation, Daland Military Chief immediately answered everyone, "The reason Ashley isn’t here is that she voluntarily left the team shortly after we arrived at the hub."
"Left the team? What did she say?" Speaker Lemo continued to ask.
"Ashley said she discovered some clues and wished to investigate them alone," Dalanduo replied. "She asked us to return first and wait for her here. She said it wouldn’t take long for her to come back."
"That’s exactly what she said," Chief Soren confirmed in agreement.
"Very well, then we’ll wait here," Lemo nodded.
Ashley had asked them to wait here, so they decided to wait.
Moreover, Ashley might indeed uncover some clues. After all, she was the only one who "encountered" Lailin earlier.
...
The Stellar Level cultivators floated in the sky, waiting. However, they weren’t idle and used their spiritual power to construct a "private chat network" to communicate with one another.
Su Yu didn’t know what they were discussing.
But judging by their faces, which carried evident anger, he could guess that Lailin’s ambush had infuriated them deeply.
It’s likely the council would soon convene to discuss rectifying the star domains under their jurisdiction.
Su Yu had no intention of leaving and stood on the side, waiting for Ashley.
Beside him, Journeyman Gride couldn’t stand still. The burden of Lailin’s wings had overwhelmed him; holding them in his hands felt even more exhausting than holding a planet.
Thus, he proactively bade farewell to the Stellar Level cultivators present and headed back to the Security Department carrying the wings.
