"You know, I had a very strange dream tonight." He said. "In the dreams..."

"Stop!" Sheng Yin stopped him. Her entire face was flushed. She gritted her teeth.

Just the mere mention of the dreams, made her feel ashamed.

Yu Shuchang chuckled,

"What are you thinking? I just had a dream that we were working on the same movie."

Sheng Yin’s eyes widened in shock.

"Y-you!" she sputtered. "You tricked me on purpose!"

Yu Shuchang laughed, his deep voice making her stomach twist in ways she refused to acknowledge.

"I didn’t say anything weird. You’re the one acting guilty, Sheng Yin."

She huffed and turned away, staring out the window again.

Suddenly she felt a warm hand on her thigh and Sheng Yin nearly jumped out of her skin.

"You! You! What are you doing?"

She was wearing a skirt that barely reached half of her thighs.

Sheng Yin’s whole body tensed as she stared at Yu Shuchang in shock.

His hand was resting lightly on her thigh, fingers barely touching, but it was enough to send her heart racing.

"You! You! What are you doing?" she stammered, her face burning.

Yu Shuchang raised an eyebrow, looking completely calm.

"Relax. I was just trying to calm you down."

Sheng Yin glared at him and moved to swat his hand away,

"No need..."

However before she could finish, Yu Shuchang calmly said,

"Move my hand away and I will put it in a place, you won’t like."

Sheng Yin gritted her teeth. This b*stard!

Yu Shuchang chuckled and caressed her thighs lightly. But all Sheng Yin felt was butterflies in her stomach.

She didn’t dare to go against Yu Shuchang but the intimacy was making her go crazy.

Yu Shuchang withdrew his hand, but he lectured her at the same time,

"Stop!" Sheng Yin stopped and turned toward him.

Gritting her teeth she asked,

"What do you want?"

Yu Shuchang smiled as if it were the most natural thing and said,

"From now on, I will drop you off and pick you up, is there any problem?"

Sheng Yin agreed,

"Alright."

She would just get a free driver.

"That’s it." Yu Shuchang smiled and waved goodbye before leaving.

Sheng Yin looked at the car with a lost expression.

Regret consumed her.

If only she had not tried to play hard to get.

Her manager rushed toward her, looking exasperated.

"I know, I know," Sheng Yin muttered, rubbing her temples. "Let’s just get started."

The day went by in a blur of rehearsals, costume changes, and shooting scenes under the glaring lights.

Even though she was exhausted, she threw herself into her work, hoping it would distract her from a certain someone who had taken over her thoughts.

Once the day was over, Sheng Yin was so exhausted that she didn’t even want to move a single finger.

Sheng Yin slumped onto a chair in the dressing room, letting out a deep sigh.

Her legs ached, her head was heavy, and all she wanted to do was go home and sleep.

Just as she was about to close her eyes, her phone buzzed.

She glanced at the screen.

Yu Shuchang: I’m outside. Don’t make me wait.

Sheng Yin sat up straight. What?!

She had totally forgotten about the deal she made earlier. Yu Shuchang was going to pick her up!

For a second, she thought about sneaking away through the back door. But before she could move, her manager poked her head into the room.

"Sheng Yin, your ride is here," she said with a knowing smile. "Hurry up before he gets mad."

"You know about him?" Sheng Yin was shocked.

The manager chuckled,

"Hey, why didn’t you tell me earlier that you were dating Yu Shuchang? If you had, I wouldn’t have opposed!"

"No! Wait! How do you even know about him? Most importantly, I am only fake dating him! We are in a contract relationship! And didn’t you always ask me to never date anyone in the industry?" Sheng Yin asked.

"Yeah, I did. But Yu Shuchang is an exception, do you know he has won more than 50 domestic awards till now, and more than 10 international awards? You can date all you want. I will make sure you both get married too!" The manager muttered excitedly.

Sheng Yin: "..."

"What if I say I want to avoid him?" Sheng Yin asked cautiously.

"Are you in love with someone else?" The manager asked with a stern expression.

Sheng Yin shook her head.

"Good. See you are already dating Yu Shuchang, you can’t fall in love with anyone else." The manager lectured.

Sheng Yin: "..." Useless! Everything is useless.

She repeatedly insisted that they were in a contract relationship, but the manager ignored her.

Sheng Yin groaned. There was no escape.

Dragging her tired body up, she grabbed her bag and walked outside.

Sure enough, Yu Shuchang was waiting by his car, looking completely relaxed.

The moment he saw her, he smirked.

"You’re slow," he said.

"I’m tired!" Sheng Yin shot back, crossing her arms.

Yu Shuchang chuckled. "Then get in. I’ll take you home."

Sheng Yin hesitated for a moment but finally sighed and climbed into the car.

The ride was quiet at first. The streetlights flashed by, and the hum of the engine made her eyelids feel heavy.

She was just about to doze off when Yu Shuchang suddenly spoke.

"You thought about it, didn’t you?"

Sheng Yin blinked, confused. "Huh?"

Yu Shuchang glanced at her from the driver’s seat, his smirk deepening.

"You thought about what happened earlier," he said casually.

Sheng Yin’s face turned red.

"N-no, I didn’t!" she stammered.

Yu Shuchang let out a soft chuckle. "Liar."

Sheng Yin clenched her fists. Why was he like this?!

"I told you, I don’t care about that!" she huffed, turning her face toward the window.

"Mm. Sure," Yu Shuchang said, his voice full of amusement. "If you ever need help, just let me know, I can help you."

Sheng Yin suddenly thought of the dream she had and shuddered, with a red face, she looked away and said,

"No need!"
