Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All -
Chapter 701: God
Chapter 701: Chapter 701: God
"I am the spirit of the god that was once worshipped in this temple," it finally hissed, its voice echoing off the crumbling walls.
Yu Holea’s eyes stayed sharp. "Do you know a boy around ten or eleven years old?" she asked.
The spirit chuckled darkly, the sound sending a chill through the air.
"Yes," it whispered. "I know him. I have already eaten his soul."
Yu Holea’s lips curled into a small, cold smile.
"Is that so?" she said softly. "If you don’t hand over the boy right now, I’ll exorcise you on the spot."
The spirit let out a loud, mocking laugh.
"You’re overestimating yourself, mortal," it sneered.
"I was once a god, praised by all. I have more power than you could ever dream of."
Yu Holea chuckled back, her eyes gleaming with confidence.
"And now, you’re nothing more than a joke," she replied smoothly.
"No one remembers you. You’re just a bitter shadow clinging to an abandoned temple."
The spirit roared in fury, its form growing larger and darker.
It shot toward Yu Holea again, faster this time, but she moved with ease. She dodged gracefully, her body slipping through the air like water.
The spirit missed, slamming into the wall behind her with a deafening crash.
Yu Holea turned back to face it, ready for the next attack, but the spirit had vanished. Her eyes narrowed slightly, sensing the change in the room.
Then, from her left, she heard it—a slow, deliberate ’tsk...tsk’ sound.
Yu Holea turned her head, her gaze sharp. What she saw made most people’s blood run cold.
The missing boy stood there, but he was not the same.
His eyes were pitch black, void of any light or life.
Faint dark veins pulsed beneath his skin, and a creepy, unnatural smile stretched across his face.
But the most horrifying part was how he moved.
The boy was climbing a cracked pillar, his body twisted in an unnatural way.
His back was to the pillar, but his head faced forward, staring directly at Yu Holea.
His hands and feet moved like a spider’s, bending backward as he crawled upwards, defying gravity.
Yu Holea didn’t even blink. She had seen worse.
"Really?" she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Are you trying to recreate a horror movie scene to scare me?"
The possessed boy let out a distorted giggle, his head tilting unnaturally to the side.
His fingers twitched, and his black eyes gleamed with malice.
"You think you’re brave," the spirit spoke through the boy, its voice layered and echoing.
"But bravery means nothing when faced with true power."
Yu Holea pulled out another talisman, this one marked with a golden seal.
She held it up, her mystic energy flowing into it. The talisman glowed brightly, illuminating the dark room.
"Power?" she mocked.
"You’re nothing but a parasite hiding in a child’s body. That’s not power—that’s cowardice."
The boy’s body twitched violently, his limbs jerking in unnatural ways as the spirit grew angrier.
He suddenly launched himself off the pillar, flying toward Yu Holea with terrifying speed.
But Yu Holea was ready.
She threw the golden talisman at the boy. It stuck to his chest, and a burst of light exploded from it, forcing the spirit to scream in pain.
The boy’s body was thrown backward, landing hard on the ground. He twitched, his black eyes wide with rage.
"You dare!" the spirit roared, its voice shaking the walls.
Yu Holea walked toward the boy, her steps slow and deliberate.
"I dare," she said firmly. "Now let the boy go, or you’ll regret ever crossing me."
The spirit hissed, its form starting to separate from the boy’s body.
Dark smoke poured from his mouth and eyes, swirling in the air like a storm.
Yu Holea quickly pulled out another talisman, this one glowing with a fierce red light.
She slapped it onto the ground, and a circle of light surrounded the boy, trapping the spirit inside.
The spirit screamed in frustration, trying to break free, but the circle held strong.
"It’s over," Yu Holea said coldly. "You’re done."
With one final burst of energy, Yu Holea activated the talisman’s full power.
The light grew brighter and brighter until it was blinding. The spirit let out a final, ear-piercing scream before it was pulled into the talisman, sealed away forever.
The room fell silent.
Yu Holea knelt beside the boy, who now looked peaceful, his eyes returning to their natural color.
His breathing was steady but weak.
She gently picked him up and carried him out of the temple. Jin Aitu was waiting outside, his face pale and filled with guilt.
Yu Holea didn’t hand the child to Jin Aitu.
He was the second worst father Yu Holea had ever seen. Who would use their son’s lie to extend their wife’s life? Stupidity.
Jin Aitu’s face twisted with a mix of hope and guilt when he saw his son in Yu Holea’s arms.
He stepped forward, his arms outstretched, but Yu Holea shifted slightly, keeping the boy away from him.
"You don’t deserve to hold him," Yu Holea said coldly, her eyes sharp like knives.
Jin Aitu’s face crumbled. "Please... I’m his father..."
"A father who tried to sacrifice his own son," she snapped.
"You lost the right to call yourself that the moment you chose your greed over his life."
Jin Aitu fell to his knees, tears streaming down his face. "I didn’t mean for this to happen... I just wanted to save my wife..."
Yu Holea’s gaze hardened.
"And now look what you’ve done. Your son almost lost his soul, and your wife is living a lie. She thinks her boy went missing, but the truth will destroy her."
Jin Aitu sobbed, covering his face with his hands. "I’ll tell her the truth. I promise. Just... let me see him..."
Yu Holea shook her head.
"No. The police will take care of you. And your wife deserves to know the truth—from someone who won’t lie to her again."
With that, Yu Holea turned away from him, carrying the boy down the foggy street.
The boy stirred slightly in her arms, his eyes fluttering open. He looked up at her, confused and scared.
"It’s okay," Yu Holea whispered softly. "You’re safe now."
The boy’s lips trembled. "Where’s my mom?"
Yu Holea gave him a gentle smile. "We’ll go see her soon. But you need to rest first."
The boy nodded weakly and closed his eyes again, trusting Yu Holea’s words.
Soon, they reached her car parked a few streets away.
She carefully placed the boy in the back seat, wrapping him in a blanket she kept for emergencies.
As she started the car, she glanced in the rearview mirror and saw Jin Aitu still kneeling outside the temple, his body shaking with sobs.
Yu Holea drove to the nearest hospital, keeping an eye on the boy through the mirror.
When they arrived, doctors rushed out to help as soon as she explained the situation. They whisked the boy inside, promising to take good care of him.
Yu Holea stayed at the hospital, waiting for updates. Hours passed before a doctor finally approached her.
"He’s stable now," the doctor said with a smile. "But he’s been through a lot. It’ll take time for him to fully recover."
Yu Holea nodded, relief washing over her. "Thank you."
Before leaving, she visited the boy’s room. He was awake now, his eyes brighter but still filled with sadness.
"Are you okay?" Yu Holea asked softly.
The boy nodded slowly. "Will I see my mom?"
Yu Holea smiled gently. "Yes, you will. But first, you need to get better. Your mom needs you strong when you see her."
The boy gave a small smile, gripping Yu Holea’s hand tightly. "Thank you."
Yu Holea squeezed his hand gently before standing up. "Rest now. I’ll be back."
As she walked out of the hospital, she called the special forces and reported Jin Aitu’s crimes.
Soon, officers arrived at the temple and arrested him, dragging him away in handcuffs.
His cries echoed in the night, but Yu Holea felt no pity.
The next day, Yu Holea visited the boy’s mother at the apartment. The woman looked weaker but had a hopeful spark in her eyes when she saw Yu Holea.
"Did you find him?" she asked eagerly.
Yu Holea nodded. "Yes, he’s safe at the hospital. But... there’s something you need to know."
The woman’s smile faded slightly. "What is it?"
Yu Holea took a deep breath. "Your husband... he’s the reason your son went missing."
The woman’s eyes widened in shock. "What? No... that can’t be true..."
"I’m sorry," Yu Holea said gently. "But it’s the truth. He tried to use your son’s life to extend yours."
Tears welled up in the woman’s eyes as the words sank in. She shook her head in disbelief, but deep down, she knew Yu Holea was telling the truth.
"I’m so sorry," Yu Holea whispered, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.
