Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All
Chapter 691: Use him

Chapter 691: Chapter 691: Use him

Was it because she knew about her and Yu Shuchang’s relationship?

Did Yu Holea feel upset because Sheng Yin was dating her brother?

Sheng Yin had many questions but she still asked tentatively,

"What happened?"

No response.

Yu Holea ignored her and continued to make breakfast.

"Lea..." Sheng Yin tried again, her voice softer. "Did I do something?"

Yu Holea finally glanced at her, but her eyes were sharp, not like usual. "You should know."

Sheng Yin’s heart pounded.

"If it’s about your brother," Sheng Yin started carefully, "It’s not what you think."

Yu Holea snorted, slamming the frying pan onto the stove. "Really? Because it looked pretty real to me."

Sheng Yin’s face flushed. "It’s... complicated."

Yu Holea crossed her arms, staring at Sheng Yin like she was a stranger. "Complicated? Or are you just using him?"

Sheng Yin’s eyes widened. "What? No! I would never—"

"Then why are you acting like this?" Yu Holea snapped. "You think I can’t see it? The way you look at him? And don’t pretend it’s just some game."

Sheng Yin felt her throat tighten.

She wanted to explain everything—the contract, her feelings, her past life... but how could she? Who would believe such a story?

"Lea," she whispered, her voice trembling, "I’m not using him. I... I owe him."

Yu Holea’s eyes softened just a little, but she still looked hurt.

"Then what are you doing? Because it doesn’t look like you’re just paying him back."

"I am sorry..." Sheng Yin muttered softly.

Yu Holea’s eyes narrowed, her voice sharp like a knife. "You’re just trying to marry into a wealthy family. You don’t really love my brother."

Sheng Yin’s heart raced. Panic bubbled up in her chest, and she blurted out, "No! It’s not like that! Shuchang and I... we’re in a contract relationship."

Yu Holea rolled her eyes, her expression turning cold.

"Yeah, right. I know people like you. You seduce the ones you’re in a contract with, and then you try to marry into wealth."

Sheng Yin’s heart skipped a beat. Her hands trembled as she shook her head.

"I’m not that type of person! I swear! I’ll stay away from Shuchang."

Suddenly, Yu Holea’s cold expression melted into a gentle smile.

"Good. It’ll be better if you don’t marry into the Yu Family."

Sheng Yin nodded quickly, feeling a heavy weight in her chest. But before she could say anything else, everything around her shifted.

The next moment, she was back in the dining room. The clinking of dishes and soft murmur of voices surrounded her. She felt something warm on her thigh—Yu Shuchang’s hand. But this time, his touch wasn’t still. His fingers started to move upward, slowly, deliberately.

Sheng Yin’s eyes widened in shock.

She instantly pushed his hand away, but it didn’t feel like flesh anymore.

His hand transformed into dark, twisting vines that began to wrap around her leg.

Panic surged through her as she tried to push them off, but the vines only tightened, crawling up her body.

She gasped, her heart pounding in her chest. "Stop! Let me go!"

But then she heard Yu Shuchang’s voice, low and filled with obsession. "Are you trying to escape? You can’t escape now."

The vines wrapped tighter around her, pulling her closer to him.

Sheng Yin struggled harder, but it felt like the more she fought, the stronger the vines became.

She could feel her breath quickening, her vision blurring.

Suddenly, everything shifted again.

Sheng Yin found herself in a dimly lit room, wearing only a bathrobe. She stood frozen, staring blankly in Yu Shuchang’s direction. He was sitting on the edge of the bed, his eyes locked on her with a chilling smile.

"How will you escape now?" he asked softly, his voice sending shivers down her spine.

Sheng Yin tried to move, but her body felt heavy like she was trapped in a nightmare she couldn’t wake up from.

Her heart pounded louder in her ears, and fear gripped her chest.

Then, just as suddenly as it began, she shot up in bed, gasping for air. Her room was dark and silent. She could feel the sweat on her forehead, her heart still racing.

It was just a dream.

But it felt so real.

Sheng Yin felt her heart race as she stepped out of the shower, the feeling of the strange dream still fresh in her mind.

She quickly dressed and headed downstairs, hoping the morning would be normal, just like any other day.

When she walked into the kitchen, she saw Yu Holea standing at the stove, flipping pancakes.

She had her back to Sheng Yin, and her long hair hung loosely, giving her a calm, almost distant vibe.

Sheng Yin hesitated for a moment before greeting her softly, "Good morning, Lea."

But Yu Holea didn’t answer. She didn’t even turn around.

Sheng Yin’s heart tightened.

Why is everything playing out like her dream...

The thought flashed through her mind like a lightning bolt.

She gathered her courage and asked cautiously, "Are you... are you angry with me?"

There was no response.

Sheng Yin felt her stomach twist. She tried again, her voice trembling a little. "Lea, please... are you upset with me?"

Yu Holea didn’t say anything. She just continued to focus on the pancakes, her back still to Sheng Yin.

Sheng Yin blurted out,

"I’ll break up with Shuchang. I swear I never thought about marrying into the Yu family. Please, I won’t... I won’t get close to him anymore. I’ll stay away, I promise."

Yu Holea’s hand froze on the handle of the frying pan.

Sheng Yin’s words seemed to hang in the air, and for the first time, Yu Holea turned toward her.

Her eyes widened slightly, and there was a flicker of panic in them, something that caught Sheng Yin completely off guard.

"Why... why are you saying that?" Yu Holea asked, her voice low, almost breathless.

She looked at Sheng Yin, a mixture of confusion and concern clouding her features.

"What are you talking about?"

Sheng Yin’s heart pounded. The fear she had felt in her dream began to rise again, and she rushed to explain,

"I... I’m sorry, Lea. I never meant to hurt you. I didn’t think you would find out. But I won’t stay with Shuchang. I promise. I never wanted to use him. I swear, I didn’t think about marrying into the Yu family at all."

She was shaking now, her words stumbling over each other.

"I’m sorry, Lea. Please don’t hate me. I’ll break up with him. I’ll do anything you want. Just please, don’t break our friendship."

Yu Holea stood there, staring at Sheng Yin in stunned silence.

Her eyes softened, and she set the frying pan down, stepping toward Sheng Yin slowly.

For a moment, neither of them said anything.

Then Yu Holea gently placed her hands on Sheng Yin’s shoulders, her touch warm but firm.

"Sister Yin..." Yu Holea whispered, her voice filled with something that felt almost like relief. "You didn’t do anything wrong."

Sheng Yin blinked, confusion written all over her face. "Huh?"

Yu Holea took a deep breath, looking straight into Sheng Yin’s eyes.

"I was upset... because you didn’t tell me. You didn’t tell me that you and second brother were dating."

Sheng Yin froze. Her mind raced as she processed Yu Holea’s words.

"What? You... you were upset because of that?"

Yu Holea nodded slowly.

"Yes, because I didn’t know. I didn’t know you were in a relationship with my brother, and that hurt me. But I never thought... I never thought you were using him. I just... I felt left out."

Sheng Yin felt her heart soften. The tension in her body slowly began to melt away.

"Lea... I’m so sorry. I didn’t know you felt that way. I didn’t want to keep it from you. It’s just... complicated."

Yu Holea sighed and pulled Sheng Yin into a gentle hug.

"I know it’s complicated, but you should have told me, Yin. You don’t have to hide things from me."

Sheng Yin hugged her back, feeling a weight lift from her shoulders.

"I’m sorry. I really am. I never meant to hurt you. I swear, I’ll be more honest from now on."

Yu Holea pulled back slightly, looking at Sheng Yin with a soft smile.

"Just... don’t hide things from me again. I care about you, and I care about what happens with my second brother. But more than that, I care about you being happy, okay?"

Sheng Yin nodded quickly, feeling the warmth of Yu Holea’s words sink into her heart.

"I promise. Thank you, Lea."

Yu Holea smirked and suddenly asked,

"So should I call you sister-in-law from now on?"

Sheng Yin froze.

"I...Lea...I have something to tell you." Sheng Yin took a deep breath and decided to tell everything to Yu Holea.

At least in that way, when she and Yu Shuchang ’breakup’, Yu Holea won’t be said.

"What is it?" Yu Holea asked curiously.
