Chapter 676: Unholy Dungeon
Chapter 676: Chapter 676: Unholy Dungeon
"I always thought there was something strange about her, and now it’s confirmed. She deserves to be banned from everything!"
"I feel so bad for Yu Shuchang. This assistant was literally obsessed with him. How crazy is that?!"
The assistant’s name was quickly spread all over the internet, and she became the target of the internet’s rage.
People started calling her a "crazy fan" and criticizing her for being obsessed with Yu Shuchang.
They even began to dig through her past, looking for any signs that she might have been obsessed with him all along.
When Yu Shuchang saw the news, he chuckled. He was expecting Yu Mei to pull off this stunt.
However, since Yu Mei’s demise had already been planned, he couldn’t take any action against her for the time being.
"The end is nearing..." Yu Shuchang muttered softly.

At the same time.
Sheng Yin who had left the coffee shop, dialed Qiao Jun’s number.
Once the call was connected, Sheng Yin calmly asked,
"Where are you now?"
"Out of town. And no, Holea is not with me." Qiao Jun answered.
"I know. I just want to ask if Lea had asked you to find a location or something?" Sheng Yin’s tone was calm, however, her entire body had turned cold for some unknown reason.
Since Qiao Jun was present, he didn’t see Sheng Yin’s pale face, otherwise, he would have realized that something was amiss.
"Yes, she did." Qiao Jun thought Yu Holea might have asked Sheng Yin to take an update on the matter.
"Don’t try to find it." Sheng Yin instructed.
"Eh? Why? Did Lea ask you to tell me this? No...wait...even if she wanted to say this...why didn’t she say it to me directly and pass the message through you?" Qiao Jun was baffled by the sudden order.
"No, she didn’t...Are you free now? Can we have a talk? It’s very important." Sheng Yin’s heart was pounding.
"I am free. Where are you?" Qiao Jun instantly sensed the importance of the matter.
From Sheng Yin’s tone, it was clear that she wanted to talk about Yu Holea or something related to Yu Holea.
Qiao Jun arrived at the hotel Sheng Yin had mentioned, his mind full of questions.
The moment he stepped into the room, he saw Sheng Yin sitting on the couch, her face pale and her eyes clouded with worry.
It was clear that something serious was on her mind.
He closed the door behind him and crossed his arms.
"Alright, I’m here. What happened? Why did you call me so urgently?" he asked, his voice calm but firm.
Sheng Yin looked up at him, hesitating for a moment.
Then she took a deep breath.
"Before I tell you anything, Qiao Jun, you need to promise me one thing."
Qiao Jun frowned, sensing the weight of her words.
"What is it?"
"Promise me," Sheng Yin said, her voice steady but filled with tension, "that whatever we talk about here... you won’t tell Yu Holea. Not a single word of it."
His frown deepened, and he shook his head slightly.
"I can’t promise that. You know I’ve rarely hidden anything from Lea. Why can’t she know? What’s so important that she has to be kept in the dark?"
Sheng Yin bit her lip, her hands gripping her knees tightly.
She looked desperate, but she remained calm on the surface.
"Please, Qiao Jun. This is something she should never have known in the first place. Trust me, it’s for her own good."
Qiao Jun studied her face carefully.
He didn’t agree right away.
The idea of hiding something from Yu Holea didn’t sit well with him.
But Sheng Yin’s expression was so serious, so full of urgency, that it made him hesitate.
After a long pause, he sighed.
"Fine. I’ll listen. But you’d better have a good reason for this."
If he felt that the news could be told to Yu Holea, he wouldn’t hesitate to break the promise anyway.
Relief washed over Sheng Yin’s face. She nodded slowly.
"Thank you. Now listen carefully."
She took another deep breath before continuing.
"Yu Holea is trying to find a place called the Unholy Dungeon. I know she’s asked you to find it, and I know you will eventually locate it. But you cannot—absolutely cannot—tell her about it."
Qiao Jun blinked, completely baffled.
"Wait, what? Why not? And if you already know about this place, why are you hiding it from her?"
Sheng Yin fell silent for a moment, her gaze dropping to her hands. Her voice, when she finally spoke, was calm but filled with a strange heaviness.
"Because I’ve been reborn."
Qiao Jun stared at her, his eyebrows furrowing.
"Reborn? What are you talking about?"
She looked up at him, her expression unwavering.
"I’ve lived through this before, Qiao Jun. I know what’s going to happen. If you tell Yu Holea about the Unholy Dungeon... she will eventually kill herself."
The words hit Qiao Jun like a thunderbolt. He froze, his entire body stiffening as her words sank in.
"What...?" he whispered, his voice barely audible. His chest tightened, and his throat felt dry.
"What are you saying? Why would she...?"
Tears welled up in Sheng Yin’s eyes, but she kept her composure.
"I can’t explain everything right now. Just know that if she finds that place, it will lead to her death. Please, Qiao Jun. Don’t let her go down that path."
Qiao Jun clenched his fists, his mind racing.
The thought of Yu Holea dying was unbearable. He couldn’t even imagine it.
"You’re serious, aren’t you?" he said, his voice hoarse.
Sheng Yin nodded.
"I am. And if you don’t believe me, you can use your superpower. Test if I’m lying."
Qiao Jun hesitated for a moment before activating his ability.
He focused on Sheng Yin, searching for any signs of deceit. To his shock, everything she said was true.
She wasn’t lying. She truly believed that Yu Holea would die if she found the Unholy Dungeon.
He stumbled back a step, his legs feeling weak.
"Why would she... why would she die?" he asked, his voice choked with emotion. "Tell me, Sheng Yin. I need to know!"
Sheng Yin’s hands trembled as she looked at him.
"Because...because of the history behind it. Once she touches the ground of the Unholy dungeon, she will see a future that happened in her past life, and won’t be happening but she won’t be able to bear the impact of knowing what has been sacrificed just so she can live."
"Can you explain properly?" Qiao Jun asked in a low and heavy voice.
Taking a deep breath Sheng Yin explained to Qiao Jun,
"The timeline in which I had lived, I came to know about certain truths. It will be better if you know it from Yu Holea first. After knowing the first half-truth, come back to me I will tell you the remaining part of the truth."
Qiao Jun was silent.
"To give her a hint, start by asking if she has remembered her past life." Sheng Yin softly reminded him.
Qiao Jun arrived at Yu Holea’s villa late in the evening.
He wasn’t sure how to approach the topic, but he knew he had to talk to Yu Holea.
He didn’t want to make her uncomfortable or suspicious, so he decided to take it slow.
When Yu Holea came back from her shoot, she seemed tired but content.
She was slightly surprised to see Qiao Jun waiting in her room, but she didn’t question it.
"You’re here," she said with a small smile. "What’s the occasion?"
Qiao Jun smiled back.
"No occasion. I just thought I’d come over and keep you company. How was the shoot?"
"It went well," she replied, stretching her arms.
"But it was exhausting. My shoulders are killing me."
Without saying a word, Qiao Jun walked behind her and gently started massaging her shoulders.
"You should take better care of yourself, Lea," he said softly. "You’re always overworking."
Yu Holea closed her eyes, enjoying the massage. "I know."
Qiao Jun chuckled.
"That’s true. Anyway, I’ve made dinner for you. It’s nothing fancy, but I hope you’ll like it."
They ate dinner together, chatting about small things.
Yu Holea seemed relaxed, and Qiao Jun felt a warm sense of relief seeing her smile.
After dinner, he insisted on washing the dishes while Yu Holea went to her room to check some files.
When he finished, he quietly walked back to her room.
She was sitting at her desk, flipping through a stack of papers.
Qiao Jun waited patiently until she finished, not wanting to interrupt her work.
Finally, she put the files aside and leaned back in her chair.
"What’s up, Jun? You’ve been unusually quiet tonight."
He hesitated for a moment before sitting down across from her.
"Lea, can I ask you something?"
Yu Holea tilted her head, curious. "Of course. What is it?"
